I was very excited to finally find a salon that looked like the perfect fit for me! I miss the atmosphere of going into a salon and being able to connect with your stylist, while getting a quality haircut. I've been going to a barber shop and getting a clean fade for a while, but it's nowhere near the same experience that I'm used to. I've had several stylists give me a fade with clippers, however, this one was a first. I've never had my sides done entirely with just a comb and scissors and it be called a fade. When the stylist did bring out a clipper, I got excited, but it was just for my sideburns and to clean up the neck. When I saw her take the comb and clipper to my right side I thought she was actually going to get into the fade, but again she just trimmed it. The guard must have been too low or something, but I literally left with a faint bald spot near my temple. I'm truly disappointed by the complete lack of a haircut I got. The reviews here are great, but I left feeling completely shorted of the same experience. I left with a $40 for a cut that I would anticipate getting from a nervous student. Truly heartbreaking!

Love love love this salon!! It was so clean, extremely professional, and every stylist here knows what they’re doing! It’s so hard for me to find a good colorist and hair stylist with the amount of thick and frizzy hair I have. Diana and even my hair stylist both were absolutely amazing and gave their honest professional opinion on what would look good and not wash me out! Also took my 8 year old daughter here for her haircut and Claudia was an absolute GEM! I must say the experience here is absolutely amazing and if you are looking for a professional clean salon that can do anything- do not hesitate to come here! Will definitely be back and will be referring my friends and family!! Thank you

I had a wonderful experience during my appointment. Cathy was great to work with. She listened to my “story” about my hair, gave me recommendations, and made me feel that together we made good decisions about my style and color. My daughter had recommended the salon and Cathy in particular. I’m definitely glad I listened to her and will continue to be a client.

Love this spot, such a great community presence, always great energy. It's such a welcoming place, even my 5-year old daughter loves to come with me to say hi to all her stylist friends. Cathy is a wizard and everyone at the salon I've had services from has been a top notch professional.

They are extremely welcoming at this salon! Claudia did a fantastic job with my blonde the first time I went! I had Cathy do my hair the last time, there was an issue with it once I got home and she immediately fit me back in to fix it!

Diana worked magic on my hair color! She was wonderful, friendly, and professional, all while bringing life back to my hair. I cannot say enough good things about her and her work, and more than a month later my color still looks amazing. Highly recommend the salon, their staff and services, and Diana for all things hair color related.

Terrible. I went to Diana for a balayage she told me it would take a few sessions to get my hair how I wanted. First of all my hair isn’t even that dark and all I wanted was a Honey Blonde balayage.. she started putting a lot of foils in my hair and whenever I do a balayage at other salons they’ve never put in this many foils. She started working on another clients hair and didn’t even pay attention to me then she made someone else rinse me out. She then went to blow dry my hair and my hair was platinum blonde there was no dimension and it was fried. I was so upset and I told her that this is way too light and it needs to be fixed right away. She started mixing so many different toners and turn my hair this gross mucky blonde almost looked green I was so horrified at my hair. Even the manager was like oh wow you look different. Like wow thanks! they then charged me for all those toners she mixed, I did not know had extra charges for toners. Would’ve been nice to tell me that before she mixed all those stores in turn my hair green if she got it right the first time I wouldn’t have to pay that much it was almost $300. A day later I couldn’t bear to look at myself so I went back to get a refund I went with my friend and I asked the front desk girl if I can speak to the owner I saw him RUN AWAY to the back real professional… I then spoke to the other owner/manager his wife on the phone and she would not give me a refund. She tried telling me that they can have another Stylist fix it for free but I told her I’m not comfortable at all with anyone in that salon’s and I need to get my refund finally after arguing back-and-forth for two days I finally got all my money back. I would never recommend this place at all but if you do decide to come here do not go to Diana!

Best hair salon in Park Ridge hands down. Professional service and amazing atmosphere.

The hairstylist that I had did not honor what I had asked her to do. I was supposed to get a consultation at the start. It never happened. I’m a blond and she colored my part with dark brown dye to a total of 4 inches. When I called one of owners to tell her what happened , she said she would have her colorist take care of it. After she talked to to the stylist that did my hair, the stylist told her numerous lies about me. I did not say what she claimed that I said. Upon coming home my husband said when he looked at my hair”What happened to your hair?!! I actually did not want to go out of my house looking like that. I was depressed. I did not except the offer to have them fix it, because I didn’t trust them to touch my hair. My hair was also cut unevenly. Fortunately I was able to have another salon repair the damage. They did a beautiful job, doing exactly what I wanted I would never recommend Anthony Valentino Salon to anyone.
