I did my Open Water Diver certification here and can only recommend it! Simon, the instructor, is an excellent teacher who really wants to make sure you understand why the things you learn are important and how they connect to being a good and safe diver. Nata, the owner, has decades of knowledge and experience which he is happy to share. Javi, the boat captain, ensures that everything on the boat works smoothly. Moreover, he is great at getting close to dolphins (and other wildlife like whales)! The three of them have a passion for what they do and it shows. Being a small shop, they do their best to cater to individual preferences - and to ease any potential fears a beginner like me may have. 100% recommend!

I did my Open Water & Advanced courses as well as some fun dives and everything was great!!! Super friendly staff, new equipment, perfect customer service, awesome dive locations with lots of marine life. Thank you Nata, Javier and Simon for making it an unforgettable experience :)

Amazing!! My husband wants to get his certification and as a birthday present I wanted to give him his first experience during our vacations in Huatulco. I could not have made a better choice. Nate, Cars and Javi were friendly, encouraging, and kept things light and fun while also providing honest feedback. We felt safe underwater throughout the whole process, and IT WAS GREAT! It was great to have such a wonderful, honest crew….no judgement at all. Thanks a million for a once in a lifetime experience!!!

We booked as a family of 4 on the half day snorkelling trip. Nata explained the trip and prepped us with really good equipment. It was warm so we did not use wetsuits but rash vests were available for sun protection. Nata lent me a bandana! They had a wide range so everything fitted perfectly. We were the only guests on the trip. Nata and Javier, the boat captain, clearly work together all the time and this was important as we drifted with mild current when snorkelling and Javier also acted as a spotter for turtles. The boat is perfect for small groups. Nata came in the water with us to guide and explain, find things we would have missed including vacated lobster shells, and did a fabulous job of helping one very nervous person in the water. We saw tonnes of fish, all different shapes and colours. You get to literally swim through them. We shadowed eagle rays twice and at our last stop we swam next to turtles. I see most of the reviews are excellent, deservedly, and though the other trips on bigger boats are cheaper, we got something we will always remember. Thank you Nata and Javier.

We had an incredible time on our private scuba tour with Hurricane! We highly recommend, Nata and Javier were so hospitable, friendly and knowledgeable! They made sure we had a blast and a truly amazing experience. They even stopped for whale watching which was so cool to see. Definitely recommend going with Hurricane and trying out the private tour!

The entire experience was great! Prompt reply to emails. When we arrived, there was a good balance between safety and welcoming. Our Guide Carston was very good, very knowledgable with 17 years experience in scuba and snorkel. Our boat guy (Jose?) knows the water well. Four stops on the half day tour, great scenery and lots of interesting fish! Don’t hesitate to book these guys. (One negative, whichever IT guy did their “liability waiver” portal needs more training. Not intuitive, many dead ends)

I was very happy with everything! They were both super friendly and provided everything we needed. The equipment is in really good shape, which isn‘t always a given. On the boat we got pineapple and iced tea in reusable bottles to reduce single use plastic. The dives were very enjoyable. Would definitely dive with them again! :)

Had a great time and experience diving with Hurricane Divers! I am a certified diver but my 2 friends were not and did the Discover Scuba experience. Jill & Javier took good care of us and were very patient in teaching and working on skills. I loved the fact that it was just our little group and we’re weren’t on a boat with a huge group. I highly recommend diving with these guys.

Hurricane Divers had top notch people working there, the equipment was quality, and BC's like new. The actual dive locations were not the best as far as having healthy corals or variety of critters. My first time diving here so am not sure if this was the norm or not. Instructor Jill was great and took good care of me.

We did the all day snorkel trip with Jill and Javier and had a wonderful time. We saw a ton of cool fish, ate some delicious pineapple on the boat, and appreciated the company's eco-consciousness. We highly recommend Hurricane Divers!

Was great for both skilled and novice snorkelers. The dive master, Natanael, was very accommodating and patient with my partner who had never snorkeled or been in open water before. High quality equipment and friendly staff. If (when) I return to Oaxaca I’ll be sure to come again!

Had an amazing three tank dive with Jill. Safety was paramount, but she also gave us personalized service and was super helpful with my 15 year old son who just completed his open water certification 4 months ago, and this was his first experience diving in the ocean. Our half-day snorkel was the BEST. The guide and the captain were friendly and so knowledgeable! And as we were en route to another site, they spotted a whale spouting WAY off in the distance so we quickly detoured and saw two whales, as a side bonus to three gorgeous snorkelling sites and a short break on a beautiful beach. I highly recommend!
