To Go order was packaged very nicely and my items hot and delicious looking when got home. The ingredients used in the dishes is of excellent variety. The chicken so tender in my enchilada verde . My beef taco was absolutely perfect I give it over 9000 points in best taco I ever had. The hard shell had a fluffy texture that made the taco seem like a sandwich in bread I thought it was amazing. The salad was fresh and I enjoyed lunch so much. Definitely try this spot out.

This is five stars for a little Mom and Pop neighborhood place with delicious food. Can't really ask for more. The proprietor(s) replaced the old Mijares East, and the place is about the same. This was my first visit. I had the mole enchilada with extra rice, skipping the frijoles. The mole was sensational but the enchilada was a little brief. Next time, I'll have two enchiladas. They were different from what I was used to, some cooked vegetables inside (I think I saw tomato and green pepper, but not too much). Yes, there will be a next time, and a next, and a next. Friendly service. Substantial take-out clientele but plenty of tables to eat, inside and out. I always suggest paying cash in these little places so that the banks don't get their 6% juice (they do more than wet their big beaks!).

Oh my god this place is so delicious. Perfect Mexican food, great ambiance, amazing service. We go here all the time and I cannot recommend it highly enough!

Great food / portions / service!! We had the catfish and beef tongue plate. Both were delicious!! Catfish was cooked perfectly and crispy on the outside. Beef tongue was tender. Portions were large.

It is AUTHENTIC Mexican Food for sure, very good indeed!

Got the chile relleno this evening. Perfectly cooked. The beans and rice were also delicious and the salsa and chips were definitely fresh and crispy. Waiter was extremely nice and patient. Will definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

I ordered the carnitas , which were over cooked and crunchy. I didn’t receive the side that came with my order until I asked for it. My daughter’s chicken taquitos were unseasoned. We watched the waiter give good service to other tables and offer dessert, which we weren’t offered.

My family has used El Matador's catering service for many of our family get togethers. Overall, we have been highly satisfied with the food being delivered at the time required, warm, and ready. They have friendly employees and they make sure you are always satisfied. Great local option to dine in or out in Pasadena.
