This is a fantastic restaurant. They have great food and excellent services. Conveniently located on Colorado Blvd as part of the open mall in Old Town Pasadena. We were blown away by the wonderful flavors of the foods. When we were here last on their grand opening few years ago, we were disappointed by the mediocre food and the cold service. Unlike their Bid Gourmet restaurant in San Diego, the food was ordinary when this located first opened its door. The famous donut was flat on taste. This time around, we had a total different experience with our lunch. We were cheerfully greeted by April, the General Manager of the restaurant and got us a nice table inside. Our waitress was equally lovely. She was friendly and happily went through the menu with us. With her recommendation, we ordered the three famous dishes including their bacon donut with fried chicken, portobello mushroom fried, and egg Benedict. The portobello mushroom fried blew us away with such flavorful batter and the pesto guacamole dip was out of this world. The portion was so big that we were stuffed after this dish. The top favorite for everyone is probably the bacon donut. This is what people come here for. The taste combination of sugar glazed donut with salty bacon was unbelievable. Everyone should order this one. But the only thing is that after eating less than one donut, we couldn’t eat anything else. We were so full. This is definitely a restaurant to bring your friends to impress, but that’s only if they have big appetite. The restaurant does provide parking validation, just ask the waiter for it when you pay your bill.

Went for a good brunch and was very happily satisfied. We also complimented it with a mimosa and espresso martini. The sausages were the only downside. Had to send the first one back and the second set was still not desirable. Definitely recommend the French toast logs.

Waited 2 YEARS to come because of Covid shut downs. Pretty much everything I expected. 💥 Fantabulous flavors! The chicken sandwich is massive and flavorful. Salad is bussin' bussin' fr fr. The Maple Bacon Whiskey is great and has a smoked glass finish to it Love the water presentation given Restrooms are nice and bar is well done. The bacon 🥓 is a bit chewy and fat ( wish it was crispier) And the donuts, albeit lovely, are way too dense, more like a bagel, than fluffy like a donut 🍩 Will definitely come back nonetheless, greatly recommend

“ZERO SERVICE & OVERPRICED” Steak frites. We asked for medium rare, and it came extremely rare. (See my pic) And it says it’s 8 oz on the menu, but it felt small like only 6 oz when it served! I honestly can make better steak at home. It needs zero cooking skills. Also, the service was terrible. After we placed the order, no one checked up on us, no water/coffee refill, no anything. I had to constantly flag someone down to get a refill. Not to mention, we saw a group of servers (including ours) chatting in the back instead of serving us. A hard pass!

Very airy and spacious set up. Lavender lemonade and Cajun shrimp bennie were delicious. The biscuit is especially good. Also tried the French toast logs which were amazing. The servings are very large here. Parking validation available at host stand.

The food here was delicious. Our server was so on top of it we didn't even have to ask for refills or anything they were so quick. The place was really cute outside and inside. Everything looked great. Definitely going to eat here again!

Although we ended up sitting outside to enjoy the nice day, I noticed how pretty this restaurant was! Our server was amazing. He was always on top of refills and was patient with our questions. Each of us got something different and we all enjoyed our entrees. I’m still thinking about this delicious chicken bowl and wishing I was closer so I could go back to order it again!

The Chicken and Maple Donuts was absolutely amazing. The best maple donut I've had in my life—really more of a meal than a donut. A home handmade donut smothered in fresh maple cream and pulled with chopped bacon ... need I say more?

Had the prime rib sandwich and a burger. Both were delicious. The maple bacon donut was amazing. We tried a slo and breezy which was really good.

This is a spacious chic restaurant that has a whole day menu that includes brunch, lunch and dinner items. It’s my first time back since they reopen. The menu has not really changed. My pecan crusted salmon was crispy and paired well with the steamed cauliflower pearls. My best friend loved her fish of the day which was seared cod with patty pan squash and pickled red onion with fig mustard sauce. The beignets were as good as I remember!

This was a great place for brunch! The interior is very nice, and the staff were very friendly and kind. The French toast logs were good, but the Smoked bacon scrambled was our highlight. The potato side dish was also a huge highlight, with some great sourdough toast. We did order a cold brew and got a hot mocha instead, but it was still really good. We really enjoyed the brunch menu, but we hope to go back and try their other options!

This place is busy on the weekend and can be loud since you are close to other parties. Last time, I enjoyed my food more when I had breakfast food. This time I was disappointed, especially for the price. I had an expensive sangria that tasted good but was barely a couple sips since the glass was half full and it was full of ice. Prime rib melt was lacking in meat.

The food is good (nothing outstanding), and the server was really nice. The mimosa kit is ok. A little bit pricey for what you really get ! Also, after 1:30 hours a lady came to us and kicked us in a rude manner from the place.... definitely won't come back again ! I think there are better places for brunch !

Upscale environment to get brunch all day. I had the Ribeye Hash and it was amazing. My partner had the American breakfast and it was just ok. Would probably go back, but would be worried if I got something new.

We got the Cajun shrimp and biscuit Benedict and chicken and donuts. My coworker and I both agree that the food was "meh". Donut is too dense. Flavor isn't even worth the denseness. Fried chicken was bland. The Benedict plate was too salty my my colleague. I just thought that the flavor was of garlic power and onion powder. Not coming back. Thank you though!

This place was FANTASTIC!! As someone who’s worked in the hospitality industry for 20 years, this is how I’d want my place run! Atmosphere was great, food was delicious, and the service was top notch! From the host who welcomed us, to the manager, everyone was amazing. My girlfriend and I went in on Saturday late brunch-ish time. 3pm? She ordered the chilaquiles and I had the chicken and donuts. We started with coffee, I had a latte and she an iced coffee. Both were great. Then the food. Wow. We saw another couple had the chicken sandwich and the French toast, and we almost ordered that but we went this way instead. Next time that’s what I’m ordering though ! Our food was incredible!! The chicken was so juicy and crunchy and the sweetness of the donut. Amazing. It’s like white people’s version of chicken and waffles 😂 That donut, is denseeeee. It’s not light and airy like a donut, it’s more like if a donut and a waffle had a baby .. Donfle! But it was delicious ! The chilaquiles were also delicious, we all agreed you MUST order it with eggs. We got over medium (my lady is Mexican so I trust her food judgment here) and it was perfect ! Now, normally I’d say go just because of the food. However, our server was what made the entire experience ! His name is Evan and he was the best. He was kind, charming, friendly, and very welcoming. I felt like we were old friends and this was his house. If I were his manager I’d give him a raise! Evan, thanks so much for an amazing Saturday day date for my lady and I 🙏🏼

Great food, family ate here around 1-2pm and the food/service was really good! Server (Don) helped us with recommendations and made sure that we were doing ok during our time there. Ordered the shrimp Benedict and beignets on the side, delicious and good portions to both. Definitely coming to try their other plates

Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. The food and presentation were well worth the trip to Pasadena. The chicken and doughnuts were amazing! The chicken was crispy, juicy and savory. The doughnuts were huge and a perfect balance of sweet and savory.

This place is amazing!. Our food, service, and overal experience was great. To elaborate on the food l, we had breakfast and drinks so this review is on that specifically. The drinks and food had some magical balance to it, its almost unexplainable. Highly recommended. (Lavender mimosa & blood orange margaritas) & (fried chicken and doughnuts, French toast logs).

Yum! I’m so happy we found this spot in Pasadena for brunch. The food was fresh and delicious. We started with the beignets which were delightful. I ordered the BLT and a yummy salad on the side. Again- delightful. It is definitely worth the visit when in Pasadena!

Great service and good food. I tried the fried chicken and donut and was surprised by how the fried food didn't hurt my stomach (as it usually does). It's clean and has a great ambiance! Really glad I stopped by.

First time here at Great Maple. Our party was sat and immediately our server was pushy on getting our food orders in. We asked if we could have a few mins to look over the menu since it being our first time. She didn’t not take our request well. We ordered their cinnamon coffee drinks. Nothing special about the drink just ice coffee with cinnamon. The food was ok nothing great. The donuts were ok over priced $15 for 3 donuts. Over all experience here is was not the best. It’s a been there done that restaurant. Service was not the best.

We recently came for a ladies brunch, we had a large group of 14 so I made reservations in advance. Just to make sure you're going to show, they require a credit card and will charge you a no show fee if you don't cancel ahead. I wasn't really familiar with the area so I asked Katlin (host) about parking. She was so friendly, patient and very thorough. She gave excellent directions and information. I complimented her on her thoughtfulness. I've organized and booked my share of large groups at various restaurants in So Cal, I've not once come across anyone who was nice and knew her facts the way that she did, many kudos Katlin. As for parking they will validate 1 1/2 hours at the Paseo garage. Garfield Ave street parking around City Hall is free on Sundays and they have small lots that charge as well. We arrived at the restaurant and our table was being prepared, a woman came out to greet us to let us know they were getting the table cleaned and ready. We were sat quickly and we viewed the menu and waited for our whole party to show up. Juan, was our server and he was nice and had some great recommendations. We started with the beignets and sour cream potatoes. Both were great the beignets were hot with powdered sugar and served in a bag just like in New Orleans with a lemon curd that's so good. Fried chicken and donuts, lemon shrimp pasta and the hot honey chicken sandwich were the popular items ordered. I ordered the ribeye sandwich and it was really good. The mimosas were a hit as well as the Morocco iced tea and lavender lemonade. Just a side note they will only accept up to 5 forms of payment on a large party so bring cash or determine who's going to be paying with cards up front. Kathie was the woman who greeted us initially and stopped by our table a few times to check-in. She turned out to be the general manager. She was very friendly and compassionate you can tell she's been doing this for a long time, she worked the whole restaurant and always had a smile. The whole experience was very pleasant, I think this will be my next date night location. The area is nice lots of places to walk to and take in shopping.

Yum,yum YUM! We werent sure where to stop for a late brunch and I am so glad we decided on here. Before we even sat down we watched the food pass by and couldnt help but get excited about our decision. We sat at the bar as they were fairly busy with about a 55 minute wait time. What I believe to be the manager was in and was incredibly kind;its apparent she treats her employees well as they all seemed to get along well with her. The staff was kind, helpful and attentive. The food was fantastic, the only complaint I have is that it was so difficult to decide on what to have because everything not only sounded amazing but looked fantastic! The decor is warm and inviting. Its clean and well maintained. It is without a doubt a place I will return to again when i find myself in Pasadena so I can try all of the different and wonderful options on their menu. And i would absolutely recommend this spot to locals and anyone just passing through looking for a great spot to eat!

Great Maple facilitated a lunch for our entire wedding party following our rehearsal and we couldn't have been more pleased. We had tables arranged to give us our own section and they were accommodating for our large party size with several different options for the limited menu. Communication was clear leading up to the day of the event and they even allowed us to add 2 extra to the party a couple days before. The food and service were all incredible, the hot honey fried chicken sandwich was particularly tasty! Excellent restaurant in a beautiful area of Pasadena.

Delicious food, super nice people. Can't wait to go back! We got there an hour early for our reservations for a party of 12, it was raining outside, but they had room so they let us sit at our table early. We were a crazy bunch and they handled it really well. There was an issue with one of our orders and they handled it amazingly, more than we could have asked for. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
