My friends kept speaking highly of Fig Sprout so I had them bring some over. I couldn't figure out why such a simple menu would be so highly rated. That's till I dove into the dishes. I had the half chicken, with two side of sweet corn and curry rice. I was blown away at the savoriness and juiciness of the chicken compounded with the two sauces (unknown names) they provided. I would have to say its up there in the top 5% of chicken dishes i've had so far. Love it. The corn and rice were just as delicious. I hope their customer base grows so they can expand their hours :)

Honestly, one of the most simplistic meals that has blown me away. A friend recommended the chicken, and I don’t know how it’s cooked? Maybe baked, but either way it was soooo delicious. The dark meat option came with a leg and thigh, and the skin was super thin and crispy. The inside was juicy and flavorful. The two sides I got was the herb rice and ratatouille. The herb rice was super yummy and paired well with the chicken and sauces. The ratatouille was warm and the vegetables were comforting… and that’s saying a lot for a vegetable dish! Overall, this felt like being invited to someone’s home and sitting down for lunch or dinner. I would absolutely come back if I’m ever back in this area. The real stars for me was the dipping sauces. I joked and said that this dish felt like a “chicken flight” because each sauce really changed the dynamic of the chicken and rice. The green being a cilantro mint, a mustard curry sauce, and a sweet chili sauce. The sauces themselves made the dish so amazing and I HIGHLY recommend trying all three.

It was healthy food for the body. The chicken was fresh and tasty. However the rice was old. It had a nice flavor. The cold slaw I didnt like too much...maybe it's me, the ingredients were fresh but it had a bit too much ginger. The place a nice little cozy cafe. Simple menu....

Succulent, juicy chicken breast and wing with crispy skin AND a killer mint sauce. The generous rice side I ordered was mushy, seemed like it wasn't fresh. Counter man was snippy and was having a very hard time with English. Atmosphere, simple utilitarian, no style, just functional.

Fig Sprout is a fast casual cafe. The dish up chicken and other delights. The roasted chicken plate is solid. Their sides are clean and I don't feel heavy when I eat there. Good place to eat for those looking for a health conscious choice.

Delicious chicken and unique, delicious sides. I had the ratatouille which was amazing. My friend enjoyed the slaw. Great service. Since it was our first time we were offered tastes of all of the sides. So nice!

Small, cozy, clean, homey space. Not a large menu but lots of interesting and fairly healthy option (curry rice, ratatouille, butter squash mash, stewed apples and beets, etc.). Service was stellar and everyone who worked there was super nice. However, they seemed to be running out of food. When I went to order, they told me they were out of dark meat, and then just after I ordered, the manager (or owner??) came out of the kitchen and told them to cut off the orders for white chicken too. When he realized I wasn't going to get my chicken, he apologized profusely, refunded me my entire meal and gave me a free bottled soda, my pick of their sides, and some sliced chicken that he said was "a sample from a new side item they were considering adding to the menu, a chicken caesar salad." I initially just picked 2 free sides and he insisted on giving me a third because he felt so bad. So I got quite a bit of food for free. The chicken was a little dry in my opinion, which is the only reason I take off a star, but I want to be clear that I was NOT served their normal chicken; mine was sliced and wasn't even meant to be served that day according to the manager, and I saw that everyone else before me who got normal meals had full chicken legs and breasts, not what I had. So the service was awesome and I attribute the odd experience to the fact they've only been open about 2 weeks. I fully intend to come back in a week or two after they get their process kinks straightened out; I'm looking forward to trying the dark meat chicken :)

Stopped by Fig Sprout because I had seen it a couple of weeks ago while passing by in a car and the interior looked so cute. Finally had time to stop by yesterday. We walked in and the cashier girl kindly greeted us and informed us on our options for chicken and sides. I had a little trouble understanding her when she was saying that certain cuts were sold out so I tried ordering a 1/4 chicken for myself to which she responded that they only had 1/2 chickens available which confused me even more. Still, I didn't want to be mean so I followed her suggestion and me and my man split a 1/2 white chicken with two sides. A lot of the canisters that held sides seemed to be almost empty. We were the only ones in the restaurant besides the two ladies who appeared to be the workers/owners(?) so not sure why they were sold out but we thought maybe they had a busy lunch hour and low stock since they're so new. Congrats to them for selling out anyway! Onto the food. Very hearty portions, we had to take a lot of it home since we don't eat that much but no complaints to having leftovers. The chicken was a little dry and definitely needed more flavor and seasoning before cooking but the girl brought us 2 types of sweet and sour sauce (one with red pepper flakes and one with mint, both pretty tasty but I preferred the red pepper) and I think it tasted really good with the chicken. If you don't like meat with sweet sauces though it probably won't be for you. For our sides we ordered curry rice which was pretty garlicky but tasty, and the roasted potatoes which I love love loved (so much flavor and crunchy and soft textures are just right). The girl also brought us samples of their pesto pasta with cherry tomatoes and basil and I slurped it all up (so fresh and healthy and i'm usually not a fan of pesto), plus their sweet corn which was yummy but neither of us were in the mood for it really. The girl forgot to bring us our drinks so we reminded her and she promptly got our cups of ice and tea and soda for us. Overall I hope this place does well because the workers seem really nice and the food is tasty and it's a cute little eatery. I'll be coming back :-) (I posted a similar review on Yelp)
