The food was exceptional! Stumbled into to this place while driving through the downtown Pasadena. We saw a line that went out the door and couldn’t resist. - The french toast was a classic; fluffy yet crunchy on the sides, sweet yet not overwhelming, and it had such a beautiful presentation. - The bacon burrito was scrumptious; a hearty and flavorful delicacy. The arugula and the hash browns were a great pairing. - The Croque Madame was incredible; everything fit so perfectly. The tomato soup was probably the best soup I’ve ever had for a side dish.

The cool air called for a hot lavender latte and it was absolutely divine. Seems like a nice spot to work or study with plenty of seating available.

i had heard from so many people and positive online reviews that this is the spot to visit in pasadena but was totally underwhelmed. the breakfast burrito was mediocre, felt overpriced and didn't come with anything on the side. the agave iced coffee was ordered to be half sweet and it came out like it was all sweetener. the barista was able to make it again but i wouldn't recommend visiting as it does get extremely packed with a hipster crowd inside and out.

I really do like this coffee shop and the food is good. I do have an issue with the size of a latte. Here is a photo of a $7.25 Vanilla Latte next to a tiny side of salsa. Also, if you ask for easy ice in a drink, they charge extra. Here is a photo of the ice quantity in their chai and some has melted.

TL;DR: If you're coming here for the coffee, you'll be happy. If you're coming here for the food, your mileage may vary. If you go here for the coffee, you'll be delighted. The latte and Mocha that I received were just as good as I had heard. However, the Avocado Toast that I ordered ($11) was good except for the mountain of arugula added to the top. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate arugula, but this place added so much to the toast, I couldn't really taste anything else.

I liked this cafe. Parked in the schoolhouse parking garage across the st. first 90min free. Long line down the sidewalk on a weekend morning but moves along. Lots of seating with outlets wifi, comfortable seating. Clean bathrooms. Nice vibes and chill music. I would come again to grab coffee w friends or studywork inside.

Super cute and spacious coffee shop. My buddy and I met up for morning coffee and pastries. Absolutely enjoyed my latte and almond croissant, and of course the company. Lots of seating and two separate rooms. If you’re looking to have a nice time, drink great coffee and people watch…then Copa Vida is for you. Street metered parking and some free parking on the side streets as well. Check it out. Support this local coffee shop!

This was a great breakfast spot to hit up early morning before heading out into the city. I was staying at a hotel nearby for a wedding and wanted to try this place out after looking up reviews. The restaurant is spacious and well organized with cute merchandise, coffee and teas for sale near the register. I picked up a couple of the glass Copa Vida cups for my iced coffee at home. I ordered the Chilaquiles for breakfast with an iced coffee. It’s was so good and not just because I was starving. It was actually really great food. Just the right amount of spices, delicious verde sauce and queso. I ate my portion and the rest of my partners order! When I come back home to Cali, I will be stopping by here for more coffee and yummy breakfast.

Had the food options here. Ordered the jackfruit rice bowl, vegan tofu breakfast sandwich and their classic avocado toast. All three items were very tasty and filling.

I was looking for a nice place to grab a quick bite. The food was below average. I ordered the chile quilez and avocado toast. I didn't think either meal could be made incorrectly. Boy, was I wrong. The toast they used was a toast I had never seen, almost like a crouton. The chips they used for the other plate were literally chips from a bag. The coffee was also very bitter. I do love the atmosphere if you want to sit down for a bit, but other than that I wouldn't recommend it.

I ordered a latte with almond milk. The flavor was great and the temperature was just right. Overall and excellent coffee to start off the day. Make sure to say “to go” or the default is in a glass cup and saucer. I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items. The interior is large with numerous areas to sit and bring a laptop.

This is going to be my first impression about this place. I ordered the breakfast burrito and it tasted really good and the coffee I ordered was okay. Their services could have been better. This place is much bigger than the typical cafe in the neighborhood. You should be able to find a table and enjoy your coffee and food there.

I had just gotten to Pasadena for a convention and I was EXHAUSTED. This place caught my eye on the way over to my hotel and I am soooo glad I ended up here. Super quick and efficient service, I was so shocked. It felt like the second I stepped away after ordering, my latte was ready. Cute latte art and the barista gave me an extra crème brulee macaron for free. Loved the atmosphere, it was really neat and clean inside and everyone just seemed to be in a good mood. The coffee was delicious and was exactly what I needed. Pricing was really good, too. Also, really random but the entire time I was there, they were ONLY playing Lana Del Rey. Which, honestly? Loved it, my sister and I kinda laughed about it but it was definitely a nice addition to the atmosphere.

I had to refrain myself from going there everyday! Coffee is great, food is great, the crowd is diverse and friendly. Perfect place! I had the grilled cheese and the chilaquiles. Both quite good!

YUM! I love a coffee shop that has good coffee but also breakfast. We got delicious sandwiches (called brekkies) and everything was so good. It’s also a comfy and large space. We’re from out of town and enjoyed visiting!

To be honest, the coffee doesn't taste that great. Bought $52 worth of coffee beans and none of them taste good. Flavor is bland, the depth and color are also very mild. Even the espresso roast is not strong at all. I emailed the email address they used to send order confirmation for suggestions on how to brew so the taste is better and no response. Not worth spending on the beans here.

You MUST try the pistachio latte HOT! It's so creamy and beautiful!!! Delicious and it's seasonal, so go grab 1 for yourself. The staff is nice and friendly. Also clean and cute set up. We didn't have pastries or food.

Always a win. Steller chefs and quality baristas. Menu changes seasonally. So be prepared to cry when your new favorite menu item disappears but it's okay because the new new menu items are going to smack. Parking sucks so be prepared to walk. Also go on a week day if possible, it gets slammed on weekends.

I've been here a lot because it's a great place to grab drinks and chill, but I have never tried their foods until now and I must say i'm pretty impressed with their foods. ♥️ We try: - Croque Madame with tomato soup 🍞. YUMMY 🤤!! Huge portion and very fulfilling. The bread is toasted very nicely and the combination of every ingredient (ham, caramelized onion, melted gruyere, sunny egg, and bearnaise sauce) is excellent. The soup is perfect especially for this chilly weather. 💕 - Chorizo Egg Hash 🥔. It's once again HUGE!! 😮 The chorizo is very flavorful and it gives a nice spicy kick. Thank God for the generous arugula because it definitely helps balance the oily and flavorful chorizo 🤣 The foods are generally good and I cannot wait to try other foods on the menu. 😉

Awesome cafe serving delicious drinks and food items. The kitchen closes earlier than the rest of the cafe so plan accordingly if you want a meal or a snack. It looks way roomier inside than it does on the street, but it’s still hard to find parking on the weekend because there’s a ton of people who went to come in and do some work/homework. They’ll call your name out at the counter when handing your drink, otherwise they’ll come find the number you took for your table. The honey latte was lovely, not too sweet, like a warm hug. Someone recommended a burrito bowl so I got that (it was fantastic!) will definitely be back with my laptop to try more things and work.

My recent visit to Copa Vida in Pasadena was truly outstanding, thanks to the exceptional service provided by Fifi. As a vegetarian, she expertly guided us in selecting delicious food and drink options that catered to our dietary preferences. Fifi's knowledge and enthusiasm made our experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend Copa Vida for a great lunch experience.

Golden Chai Latte is very fragrant and yummy! Food is also yummy. I came here at 8:30 am and it was pretty empty but as 9 am came around it got really packed quickly.

Copa Vida is a great spot to grab coffee and food in old town Pasadena. The store has a convivial vibe with ample indoor seatings that are great for friends meeting up or working by yourself, there are a few tables outside too. Coffee at Copa Vida is on point, but food is the key reason I come here from time to time. Their breakfast sandwich is fresh and tasty; the burrito is even better with flavorful mix of eggs, sausage, and hash in thin tortilla wrap.

I’ve lived in this area for 3 years and I cant believe I haven’t tried this place until today. The coffee is great and has lots of vegan breakfast options. The vegan sausage sandwich was absolutely perfect. Nice staff as well.
