This Macy's is really organized! Most of the staff was friendly but a lady at the jewelry counter never approached my daughter and I to assist us. My daughter wanted to purchase a watch but the one lady just looked at us and pretended she was doing something else. She had to go and get someone else who was happy to help. FYI, the lady who assisted us had the same skin color as us. The one who wouldn't, didn't. She missed out on a sale. Maybe she would rather miss out on sales rather that assist people not like her. When we were leaving she and another sales associate (her skin tone was different than the one who didn't assist us and ours) kept looking at the associate who assisted us and seemed to be having a private conversation about it. Not good!

My family got racially profiled. My parents were waiting to pay and one of the workers started yelling at one of her coworkers to grab her phone that was unattended on the counter. My parents were the only ones in line to pay. It left a bad taste in our mouths since we loved coming here but I guess they don't like people who are POC.

Macy’s Pasadena is my favorite store, even though I live close to the Topanga store. This past Wednesday, August 31, I went into the shoe department A tall blonde young lady approached me, I asked her to bring out four different pairs of shoes. However only one of the four was available in my size It was the red suede charter club shoe she stated she could check other surrounding stores and see if One of the other shoes were available in my size. I was lucky I received the black Franco Sarto shoes today, she also assisted me purchasing a black handbag. I just wanted to acknowledge your employee, I think Macy’s is very fortunate to have an employee like her.

I bought a bedding set from Macy’s online and the display was completely different from the actual product. I put my comforter inside and I saw these tiny black dust balls inside the cover. Then I tried zipping it up and the zipper broke and stuck. The blanket cover was cheaply made and if you looked through it, you could easily see the comforter inside. I am extremely disappointed.

This is a very nostalgic store for me, been coming here since I was a kid, THAT is why it's getting 4 Stars. This store is in need of a good remodel.

This particular location has been a staple of Pasadena shopping for many years. The various departments are well stocked and the staff are friendly and helpful, although there are not as many individuals on staff as there used to be. I always find what I am looking for at Macy's. It is a great store for clothing, gifts, cosmetics and accessories. I enjoy shopping "in person" and I hope that stores like this will be able to remain open. Parking is free and plentiful, in part because so many shops around this store have closed.

Macy is the place you want to shop at. The merchandise is very cool. I like the location, I have been shopping at this location for years on Lake in Pasadena. I find that stylish men and women wear are always outgoing. I shop for myself but also for other clients as well. My sister also bought a bedroom outfit there, she loves updating with new furniture at the house al the time.

Macy's is still wonderful for browsing and shopping! Their in-store inventory is more limited than before, but so is every store, it seems. Check out is pleasant, always a little chat with the clerks, who are generally quite nice and helpful. For a while, it was impossible to find assistance, but that seems to have been corrected. I truly hope they are able to stay in business!!!! Regarding it's appearance as a museum, that's fine with me!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a dress I needed in one outing! I thought it would take several excursions at different shops! . One slight drawback, the women's dresses area needed at very least one more person to help clients. The very nice& kind salesperson was uber busy at the register while many of us could have benefited from assistance to find items. Macy's is not Ross or Burlington and the managers at this Macy's could better understand this. While I understand shopping for some has transitioned to an online presence, this edifice has existed in Pasadena as a finer shopping experience--as a Bullocks, now as Macy's--serving the community for many decades. It would be wonderful to have it continue as such.

I love this store they have good quality clothing hear that no other Macy’s has. The buyer for the store has excellent taste.

I love going into Macy's it reminds me so much of the Bullocks that once was there my auntie used to take me it makes me smile cuz then I remember her

Not as it used to be, low inventory, no descent formal or coctel dresses , if you’re looking for those like 3-4 ladies I met there , this is not the store. Unfortunately what option do we have now? Me, I need it 3-4 long dresses for a weeding for my family, bridesmaids type. Some stores have close and that’s sad, I bought My Son’s first suit when he was 8 yrs old. Now I’ll have to go to Dillard’s.

1 star for the Armenian lady working the Benefit counter this evening. First off I had to find her by asking another worker if there was anyone working the Benefit makeup section. The other worker pointed her out as she was chatting with a coworker by the perfume section. Then she shouted from a distance, 'What you need?'. I responded "I'd like to look at something at the Benefit counter." 'Then look.' she responded. I chuckled out of sheer shock and said, "I need you to pull something out." She came over and then left again saying, "I need to get the key." She got lost a little while again leaving me to wait while she talked to someone else. She clearly knows how to waste time and not help people. When she opened the counter she was super annoyed and not polite at all. Then after purchasing $60 of stuff I had to ask for samples. To no surprise she said they were all out. This women needs to be supervised or removed. ‐---------- 5 stars for Vladimir in the shoe department this evening. He's the best Macy's employee I've ever experienced. He was polite, helpful, and friendly.

I prefer this Macy's because of the free parking garage. This is an old Macy's and has ancient elevators, but they work well. I wish they had a bigger plus-size selection for women.

I understand that there is difficult to get good help now in days, but 2 years in a row, we had very negative experience with cashier's here, both male, kind of weirdos, but due where are they hiring... Other two great cashier's tho, but it's strange that make department personnel where weird :(

Had just about the best shopping experience ever. Came in last night at 8 o’clock. The store was immaculate. Met the manager as she was on her rounds couldn’t have been a nicer person. Just before I left at about 845. I purchased a pair of stunning blue topaz and diamond earrings. The salesman was amazing!! Even though they were closing, I did not feel rushed at all. He boxed my earrings and I was on my way. Macy’s on Lake has set a new high standard for shopping.

Macy's is amazing, and their employees are always the friendliest, even when they dont want to be ... Also I must say the Burberry Hero Cologne for men is absolute 🔥.. just saying

My ever dependable store of choice! We found good deals on men’s and women’s suits separates as well as men’s leather jacket. And I got 120 dollars of star money rewards to spend for another day!

It's alright, I went for there toys r us. But it was a very small section and they hardly had any cool stuff as they used to

This is my local Macy's, was a little disappointed no one was in the Finish Line shoe area, found someone in the clearance dept in Shoes so I was helped. I really love this store.

I really love this Macy's,,I was on vacation in Pasadena and I heard about history of this store so I went to see..I was very impressive how beautiful is it,,I stop by in make up , and face cream department, and I meet this nice European lady name Patricia While I was shopping in her department we start talking more and we both realized we are from same country and same town Wow wow wow I realize how world it's big and same time small.. Thank you Patricia for everything,,she also recommended me to check Lancome and etc.before I knew I spend couple hundreds dollars...again thank you Patricia for awesome costumer service.

Haven't been to the Pasadena Macy's in a year and I was disappointed by what I found. Went to see dinner ware and found that only one small area had dishes. The old dish area was closed but stocked with toys. The old luggage area is now toys r us and men's shoes was a quarter of what it was. Sad... Always liked Macy's for quality shoes, pants and other home goods. I spoke with a sales person who told me that many items have been moved to on-line sales only. Shop locally - Good for everyone!

My experience was nice. The clerk was nice ready and fast exchange. The store itself seems depressing it needs a little life and color..

The customer service in the mens clothing section was phenomenal. One of the employees helped me find this Hawaiian shirt that I couldn’t find in my size. Give that guy a raise!

Three times tried to place an order online. Two different credit cards. Two different delivery methods. Macy’s can’t process the order or give a reason. Placed the order on Amazon… no problem.

Usually, I have very good experience with Macy's Pasadena at 401 S Lake Ave Pasadena, CA 91101 except My visit on March 09, 2022. about 8 PM I had a very bad experience with the manager's unacceptable behavior she was not ready to try to understand what is the problem and I am really disappointed I will continue to raise this issue with Macy's leadership This was as the register of the cosmetic department they called the manager (H) to solve the problem she was really making a problem and I am sure she was wrong according to the Macy's restrictions!!
