Bakery Pastry shop

🫤 Sad to give this review, we had high hopes! The pastries were not great. They were okay, but nothing memorable. Additionally, the pastries (almond croissants, and other pastries) did not taste fresh. We were there early on a busy Sunday morning, and the goods did not taste like they were baked today... People often mention pastries, coffee, great, french, taste,

I am a french born, and I struggled for so many years to find the real taste of french pastries..and I finally found it at " FrenchiFornia". Not only the pastries are tasty and flavored, the service is great. Very friendly and joyful. I really recommend this place. They make real good birthday cake, that you will have some hard time to share. Check the place, you definitely won't be disappointed!

Sad to give this review, we had high hopes! The pastries were not great. They were okay, but nothing memorable. Additionally, the pastries (almond croissants, and other pastries) did not taste fresh. We were there early on a busy Sunday morning, and the goods did not taste like they were baked today…shame. Muted flavor, and not fresh. Limited street parking out front on Colorado. Some parking near the police station east of the location, and north of Colorado. Service was fine. Coffee was bad. Very bad. The coffee was burnt and un-drinkable. We ordered a latte and the espresso was clearly burnt. We will not be back…

Small bakery with great tasting French pastries. My favorites are the macarons, Palmier and kouign amann. All of them are always perfectly made. The flavour of the macarons are on point, the palmier is delightfully flaky and has the right sweetness and the kouignn amann's buttery, caramely taste is always divine. Their product are comparable to Dominique Ansel or even some of the best boulangeries in France. The prices though are not cheap but with the quality and taste of their pastries, I believe it's worth it.

Love this French bakery in Pasadena! They open early and the shelves are filled with a great selection of pastries by the time the doors open. The almond chocolate croissant and kouign amann are my favorites! The raspberry financier, brownies and croissants are also delish.

Quite the variety of sweet and savory pastries. We had a macaroon, canelé, a madeleine, a croissant, a salmon eclair, an iced sencha tea, and a coffee. The coffee was just okay, the rest was very tasty, especially the eclair. Eat it fresh!

Unassuming little cafe with excellent sandwich and pastry options. The gateau basque was fantastic with a dense but crumbly crust and lovely buttery cheesey filling. Just lightly sweet and so delicious.

The sandwich was top-notch and the price was very good considering the quality. The pain au chocolate had too little chocolate in it for my taste but still quite enjoyable:)

Their chocolate croissants have no competition whatsoever. They have delicious delicious pastries. Every time we have a work meeting in this area we make sure to grab some pastries and a quiche! An added plus is that the staff is always friendly and helpful, even when I can’t pronounce any French to save my life haha

This place does a great job of being exactly what it’s trying to be—a lovely french bakery making a great version of all the standard pastries. If I were local I’d come here for breakfast regularly.

Love this place! Really high quality pastries. The coffee is solid and reasonably priced as well. The staff really loves what they make and I did hear a lot of french patrons come through!

In an area with so many bakeries to choose from this little shop on Colorado Blvd. stands out with a great selection of tasty european treats. I had the almond croissant and the raisin pastry and they were both amazing. The owner is obviously very proud of his shop and it shows.

Ordered a cappuccino and I'm not sure what I would call it but there's absolutely no foam and just tastes like watered down coffee. Hotel coffee is comparable. Do not order any coffee there! The pastries are good though.

A cute cafe, with very friendly staff, but the pastries were nothing special. Prices are also pretty high. Also, unfortunately, the coffee from here was undrinkable…

It was so hard to choose! They all looked beautiful. We had a mango mousse cake, raspberry macaron and a plain madeleine. The only thing that wasn’t 5 stars was the madeleine. It was just so so. Everything else was superb!

We are new french neighbors in Pasadena and just found our perfect place for our breakfast near home. All their bakeries are delicious, the bread is organic and the best of FrenchFornia ... their kind people ! We love them and the boutique !😍🤩

I do have to say their drinks are small for the price of a large. Idk . But their pastiees are delicious, I think I had a chia croissants was very good. Expensive place for a quick bite but overall the owner and atmosphere are welcoming and friendly. And it has a nice clean french feel to it.

As far as pastry goes I would give five stars. However, the counter girl with the dyed pink hair was so rude and non-communicative refusing to come to the pastry area where I was trying to select pastries. I just spent over $30 for five pastries so I do expect better service. The French guys - owners are excellent and have good communication skills and willingness to help me.
