Very interesting place that takes you back in time the moment you walk in. Beautiful grounds, big Grandfather oaks and so many buildings. Two story house, sugar cane barn, tool shed, woodworking cabin, barn with farm equipment, museum and train. So many different areas to see. Everything is laid out so perfectly. Peaceful place to spend some time. They have different events held here. Quilt, farm and draft horse pulls etc. Clean, safe and family friendly.

Great place! Wear flat shoes bc you will likely end up walking through grass between some exhibitions (there is a paved path, but some exhibitions are a little set back from the path).

Impressive collection of history, artifacts, and historic buildings that is worth a visit for both parents and kids. They also host excellent historical and seasonal events throughout the year. As locals, we purchased a season pass, which is a fantastic deal as it includes event entry and we visit regularly.

Excellent museum depicting life in early Florida. The museum consisting of a main building and multiple buildings from early Florida. The path around the grounds is paved. Most buildings are ADA compliance. Multiple restrooms are available on the ground. Picnic tables are available. Excellent place for children to learn about early history. Highly recommended.

Wonderful venue for families! Weather is great this time of year! Many kids attractions like making scarecrows with hay and old clothes, face painting, pony rides, petting zoo, live music, food, foam playground, other arts and crafts for kids( ie. painting pumpkins etc). Check out their website!

The grounds are beautiful with many historic buildings on display. We did the self-guided tour, and it took us about an hour and a half to explore. It was really neat to broaden our kids’ perspectives and show them how people used to live. They really enjoyed it as well. This place is great for all ages! We will definitely be back!

This is a review of the Pioneer Florida Museum in Dade City Florida. This is a self-guided at your own pace type of museum with minimal signage and interaction features so you kind of have to figure a lot of it out on your own. The grounds are well kept and everything is spaced out enough that I think even if there was a crowd you could easily walk through and not be shoulder to shoulder with anyone very nicely done.

Who is running this museum? Is it the same person managing social media? No transparency and petty actions against anyone who states facts. I've loved this museum since I was a child and wish more places like this existed. But when you advertise events intended to bring in more people than you have parking for, it's your duty to advertise limited parking or develop strategies that allow more people to attend. I drove a long way to attend the quilt show they ran out of parking for with no suitable alternatives. Further, explain why you collect donations for parking at the entry gates when your attendants 75 ft away are telling people parking is full? Is that honest? Does it show a well-coordinated operation or a sloppy one? I wasted my entire day, my gas, and money getting here. I'd NEVER purchase tickets for any of their events since the social media person can't respond to questions about guaranteed parking for paid events and instead blocks and deletes people she likely deems a threat to her job security. Terrible leadership running what could be a sweet little museum. Look how "owner" replies to people in reviews.

I went here for the Raising Cane moonshine festival. Very neat pioneer village and museum. Fun event also showing how cane syrup is made.

A fabulous community of Florida historic homes, a store, a blacksmith shop and cabins. This is an absolute treasure to go through there and understand what life was like before Florida even became a state. Had a fabulous visit, the docent was very knowledgeable and I will go back many many times.

Much bigger than other small town museums. Me and my wife spent about 3 hours here. There is a lot of parking.

We had never been before, it cost $10.00 p.p., worth every penny. The staff is very well educated. We learned a lot! Be sure to check out each building.

We went for a WW2 reenactment, and it was a good time they had boyscout vendors on site, and all of the houses were open to look at.

Awesome place for Living History! Me and my Soldier buddies went up to do living history at this last Seminole War event and the one from the previous year. We had a blast! Great seeing the publication. And great to have amazing staff! Thanks Guys; I can’t wait to come back out!

Saw a recent reenactment here and was extremely impressed by both the professionalism of the reenactors and how kind they were to all of the 700 plus school children that came that day. Also, the exhibits were fascinating, everything set up in a beautiful and idyllic scene representing a small village, with various houses and small businesses that you can walk into and see how people once lived.

On a recent visit to Pioneer Museum, we were greeted by Andy. He was cordial and very knowledgeable about the exhibits in the well organized museum and the many historical structures on the well maintained grounds. We highly recommend, it is a must see in Pasco County.

I attended the Scarecrow Festival and had a blast! First, Pasco County Sheriff's office, GREAT parking control! Second, it took me a while to figure out the "Scarecrow" part of the festival. But once I did, I thought it was neat! Overall a fun place to visit and even more fun with a camera in one's hand!

We were visiting the area and stopped by the museum. There happened to be an event going on. (There was a fee for the event) All of the staff were very nice. We looked at the old train and learned a lot of history of the area. They had music and several demonstrations along with vendors set up. They have frequent events, so if you are traveling, this is a beautiful area. With or without an event this is high end Florida museum. And they have plenty of bathrooms

Great displays of days gone by. Wagons, tractors, farm implements, a view of what life was like then.
