I
liked
this
smaller-sized
vineyard
&
winery.
The
food
was
definitely
the
star
for
me.
My
Vina
Robles
Burger
was
food
orgasm-good,
&
this
stems
from
their
use
of
quality
ingredients.
The
burger
patty
was
so
thick
&
flavorful.
It
was
surrounded
by
huge
Portobello
mushroom
halves,
VR
Cab
caramelized
onions,
arugula
&
roasted
garlic
aioli,
all
fitted
between
two
fresh
soft
Brioche
buns.
Fries
accompanied
my
burger
on
the
plate,
&
came
out
hot
&
crisp.
My
wife
ordered
the
French
Onion
Soup,
which
arrived
in
a
crock,
with
melted
cheese
covering
the
top
&
oozing
down
the
sides.
She
loved
it,
as
did
I,
after
sampling
a
spoonful.
This
decadently
rich
gourmet-caliber
soup,
gets
its
flavor
from
slow-simmered
bone
broth,
&
five
different
types
of
onions.
The
crab
cakes,
while
not
quite
up
to
par,
with
some
of
the
best
crab
cakes
I've
tasted,
from
Maryland,
were
still
crisp,
fairly
decent-sized,
&
the
sauce
which
topped
them,
added
to
the
overall
enjoyment
of
this
appetizer.
My
favorite
wine
here
was
the
2018
Creston
Valley
Vineyard
Cabernet
Sauvignon,
which
hit
all
the
right
flavor
notes
for
me.
This
is
an
up
and
coming
winery,
with
really
good
food
&
wine,
that's
gaining
in
popularity
&
interest.
I
was
disappointed
in
the
level
of
service,
which
if
I'm
honest,
was
a
bit
on
the
slow
side.
I
also
wasn't
overly
enthralled
with
the
aesthetics
of
the
vineyard,
or
the
front
grounds.
It
really
bummed
me
out
that
Vina
Robles
doesn't
allow
their
guests
to
dine
outside,
on
their
outdoor
patio,
during
the
colder
winter
months.
We
came
here
for
the
first
time,
on
1/21/23.
It
was
a
beautiful,
sunny
day,
&
I
really
longed
to
be
outside,
to
enjoy
it,
as
I'm
an
outdoors-type
person.
*After
I
first
wrote
this
review,
I've
since
taken
a
look
at
all
the
Google
Maps
photos
of
this
venue.
It
looks
like
I
missed
out
on
the
prettiest
area
of
the
grounds,
on-site,
the
back
patio.
I
look
forward
to
visiting
again,
during
the
warmer
months,
so
I
can
relax
out
there,
sipping
my
glass
of
2018
Creston
Valley
Vineyard
Cabernet,
&
relishing
some
of
Vina
Robles'
tasty
food.
