👍👍 Cool little museum with neat displays about the town of Paso Robles, from old coins and arrowheads to high school memorabilia and some old photographs developed from 19th century negatives. The people at the historical society were very sweet and informative also. People often mention Paso, Robles, history, area,

Nice history of the Paso Robles and Templeton area. They also just added a feature room with history of the wine industry - focusing on different wine families that shaped the wine in the area. Admission is free, but donations are encouraged.

Great Paso Robles and surrounding area history. The Carnegie Library is beautiful. It is in good hands of the Paso Robles Historical Society! It is like walking back in time. Visited on a Thursday and the 2 ladies were warm and welcoming. One of the lady's was born and raised in the area and was great to chat with. Her side kick, knew of info about Paderewski, the famous Polish Pianist. Gave us all kinds of information about the Paso Robles Inn. No required admission but a donation of $5/person is appreciated.

It was like walking into a time machine and I found myself in the late 1800s learning about our local history. I highly recommend visiting at least once. Staff was friendly and helpful with any questions.

The friendly and knowledgeable docents make this a memorable place to visit. I love that some of the original library shelving is still in place and is being used to display artifacts and high school year books, etc. Loved the RJ Arnold photography exhibit with its explanation of the restoration needed to make new prints from the sometimes corroded metal negstives. The gift shop is the best ever! Its chock full of ew books mixed with vintage items that must be donated by the community because the prices are so reasonable. How refreshing to find something other than the typical pricey museum gift shop fare. I love that the milk glass dive ornament I bought probably graced the tree of a local resident before I brought it home.

Donated some historical items from my mom's estate. The docents were very gracious and appreciative of the donations.

Such an interesting little museum, located in a historic library building. It's tiny, but with so much to see! Be sure to allow time to look at everything.

First - Thank You Mr. Carnegie for the Library Building. It was in the past the primary library for Paso Robles, however the hew facility, (it is across from the park in Spring Street) is much much larger. Now lets get back on track. the Historical Society for Paso Robles is simply wonderful. Display of the history of Paso Robles are so well done, and the treasure of books about the history and more and more. If you are a local to the area there is so much to digest, it can be overwhelming. If you are from out of the area it is a nice stop to get a fell for how Paso Robles was. Either way it is an enjoyable stop. also - The book / gift store is small and packed with good history books and simple remembrances of the past. Some good gifts here that you won't find in other places.
