I like the concept BUT!!!! The place was dirty, bathrooms had no paper towels or toilet paper! When they refilled them you got a roll of both no holder nothing!! The people were in all the photos with the wedding staring and watching. Management was nasty!! They never gave you what was promised. STAY AWAY!! If there were zero stars I would have done that!!

DISGUSTING WAY OF RUNNING BUSINESS, DISGUSTING VENUE- UNSANITARY FOOD AND UNSANITARY BATHROOMS FOR A WEDDING. OWNER RUINED MY COUSINS WEDDING DAY AND MADE HER CRY THE WHOLE MORNING. RUN AWAY AND DONT BOOK HERE David and his wife are not people you want to deal with, especially on your wedding day. Below are pictures of the venue when we got there. It has not been cleaned since the day prior. They treat their workers horribly as well. The building should be inhabitable. They did not deliver what was in the contract and punished the bride on the day of her wedding. Lied to her face and kept us in a room that was over 150 degrees while the whole place was empty. Threatened to turn the elevator off for the guests. This is just a little bit of how the day went. Beware

The Art Factory truly gave us the ambiance and atmosphere we envisioned for our day. Our guests told us it felt like a movie and our reception was an incredible party atmosphere. However, I would NOT recommend The Art Factory to other couples. They are not communicative throughout the planning process, even days leading up to your wedding. My day-of coordinator (unaffiliated with AF) and I had to provide numerous follow ups to get responses in Basecamp. Art Factory did not execute my vision from the 1 custom decor piece they promised to the general decor I requested based on their own reference photos. Luckily my guests had no idea, but we paid $12,000 for the space and decor only, which is a lot of money for so many misses. We had a virtual walkthrough, in person walkthrough, plus a thorough document I put together outlining the floor plan and decor needs, and yet they still didn’t deliver. The part I was most upset about is that we repeatedly asked if there was anything else happening on-site on our wedding day and they confirmed it was only us days before our wedding. I was shocked to find a whole film crew outside my bridal suite. The filming prevented us from taking photos in our planned locations, including the main courtyard. AF knew we were planning to do photos there per our event schedule and meetings. Lastly, the owners will not take care of you. David greeted me when I arrived on our wedding day, but no one checked in or said goodbye once the event started. I have no idea if any members of AF were there during our wedding. Overall, the owners will not take care of you and they pay for most of their 5 star reviews on Google. If it weren’t for our DOC, the day would’ve been ruined by AF. There were many more misses by AF, but my DOC was able to resolve them. UPDATE: Yes, Art Factory is correct in their response that I inquired about a potential surprise birthday party for my husband, but this is unrelated to my review. All of my wedding vendor reviews were posted the same day when I had an opportunity to thoroughly write them. I am in no way upset with Art Factory that they would not allow me to book a space in advance; simply after talking with my husband, he changed his mind on wanting a (big) party. I would've posted this review either way because it is true. Yes, the Art Factory space as a whole gives a beautiful and unique ambiance, which is why couples book with them for their wedding, but Art Factory didn't execute our decor properly from our outdoor layout, to the ceremony pews, to the frame display, to the correct bars, and more. For $12,000 it is upsetting that we didn't feel that we got what we paid for and what we agreed upon in our meetings with the Art Factory staff. Would I recommend that others book Art Factory for their once-in-a-lifetime wedding, ABSOLUTELY NOT. Would I recommend using the space for a small gathering of <40 people for a birthday party with no decor needs. Sure, take advantage of your "lifetime membership" and for an event that's not high stake with nearly 200 guests. My husband's birthday is not until December, so the fact that Art Factory would post our private conversation regarding SURPRISE potential plans is terrible. I hope my husband doesn't see this.

Seems like a really cool place but definitely not the place you want to be if it is raining during your event or any time before. Went here for a wedding recently, and it had rained during the day and the whole place had puddles of water inside. There were definitely signs of water damage and repairs so it seems like this happens often. The wedding was fun because of the people but the venue could definitely use some improvements. The food was mediocre, definitely nothing I would go back for. Out of the dozen or so weddings I have been to in the last year this venue definitely ranks among the bottom. EDIT: Since they don’t believe me about being there?? Yikes. Those looks like some large puddles to me. Embarrassing all around on their part, especially the reply to my review. Also forgot to mention that many of the chairs looked like they were falling apart with big chips in the tops, definitely didn’t add to the aesthetic.

Beautiful space inside and out. I attended a wedding here last week and as a guest I was blown away by how well thought out the space was designed. As friends of the bride and groom if you are looking for a space to celebrate your big day Art Factory Studios is super versatile! From the other reviews posted with photos this venue makes everything come alive. Parking is made easy with a shuttle service from a nearby parking lot if you missed getting a spot on site.

If it was an option, I would leave no stars. I recently attended a friend’s wedding here on Memorial Day weekend and it was disappointing to say the least. From the second we parked, until the second we left, there was a constant issue. The trolleys that were supposed to pick you up from the parking lot (separate from the venue) didn’t show up, causing us to walk to the venue. When we arrived, we weren’t greeted by anyone except security. There was no sense of organization in directing people who have never been to this venue. Due to the manager, the elevator that was utilized was the freight elevator, not the one guests should be using. Not only was it unsafe, it was filthy. And if you refer to the comments below, you will see one of the other guests attending the same wedding fractured her foot due to how unsafe this “elevator” was. The bathroom was not a bathroom. The doors to the stalls did not lock, there was no paper towels/driers, there was a lack of soap, and there was ONE lamp that lit up the bathroom. The bathroom was not maintained at all, toilet paper was all over the floors and it was repulsive. If these are the same bathrooms that the employees use, how do I know if they’re even maintaining a level of cleanliness as they handle our food, drinks, etc. When it came to the food and service, it was terrible. I ORDERED CHICKEN FINGERS AND FRIES. It was not a difficult meal, but somehow still came out hard as a rock. And the waiters refilled my water once throughout the night. I had to get water from the bar every time my cup was empty. Their was a lack of attentiveness and disregard for the guests throughout the night. Overall, i don’t have one positive thing to say about this place or the people who manage it. I would never return to this venue, nor recommend this to anyone.

April 8th our wedding was nothing short of an enchanting dream. Our wedding venue was the perfect setting for an unforgettable celebration, comfortably accommodating our 200 guests with room to spare. The venue itself exuded a charm that was both inviting and grand, providing the perfect stage for our big day. The venue's spaciousness was a standout feature. It comfortably catered to our large gathering, and yet, it never felt overwhelming or impersonal. Instead, it fostered an atmosphere of intimate celebration, drawing people together in shared joy. The services and amenities provided by the venue were nothing short of top-notch. The design team had gracefully combined simplicity and sophistication to create a stunning landscape that echoed the purity of our love and the elegance of the occasion. Each table was adorned with a magnificent centerpiece, a captivating blend of white orchids, softly glowing candles, and reflective mirrors. These centerpieces drew the eye, creating a visual symphony of light and color that was as mesmerizing as it was romantic. The candlelight imbued the whole room with a warmth and softness, adding to the dream-like atmosphere and making the white drapes and orchids seem even more ethereal. The festivities lasted until 5 am! The music was truly the heart of the party, setting the rhythm for the night and making it hard for anyone to resist the call of the dance floor. Thank you so much David & Donata for making our special day come true!

Here for a wedding and damn, decorations are on point. Beautiful setup and view through the old windows. Only complaint is the lack of cooling system. Going to sweat through my suit.

In all of my years of living in Paterson Nj..... I have never been inside of The Art Factory. My brother used this venue for his wedding and I have to say.... From the waiting room to the ceremony room..... And from the cocktail hour room to the reception room.... EVERYTHING WAS BEAUTIFUL. The staff was respectful from the entrance door up until you got upstairs. The hostess during cocktail was amazing. The Bartenders were amazing. The food was great as well. It was an enjoyable and memorable night from beginning to the end. I highly recommend this location for your wedding. The perfect spot for a night to always remember. You will not be disappointed at all!!!!!

We had our wedding at AF in October of 2021 and it was an absolutely wonderful day, beyond our wildest expectations. We communicated everything to the team throughout the planning process and they made our vision come to life. Dave, Donata, Giovanna and all of the event staff were great to deal with. We worked with our own vendors who were familiar with the venue which is incredibly important! My husband and I could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. Our guests absolutely loved the venue and decor! Thank you for helping make our wedding day the best day of our lives!

Cannot say enough good things about Art Factory! There are so many different unique and magical spaces here. Dave, the owner, makes you feel like family. I just celebrated my 40th birthday last night in the Mercado area and it was AMAZING and had such a cool vibe that you can’t find anywhere else! My guests loved the venue and loved the trolley. I also celebrated my daughter’s bat mitzvah here in October, 2020, during the pandemic, and despite the masks and having to change our plans many many times, it was still magical. Dave was there every step of the way, holding our hand, and working with us. He was incredibly accommodating and a true “Mensch”! My cousin also just got married here in September and it was beautiful. If you’re considering Art Factory, look no further! It’s seriously my favorite place!

The Art Factory isn't just a space or venue, it's an experience! I'm so grateful to have been able to partner with the Art Factory during the pandemic and choosing them to host my wedding. The entire team is so attentive, thorough and communicative. With their help I was able to get referrals for all of my vendors which was super convenient. Willow & Sage catering did an amazing job with the meals and quality was top notch (my guests couldn't stop raving about it!) thank you Will & Scott for your partnership and your professionalism. You helped make this process so smooth for my husband and I. David, Donata, Giovanna, Megan, Jessica, Ed and the rest of the team who made my dream wedding come true...thank you! I'm beyond happy with how everything turned out and recommend this space to anyone who is looking for a timeless experience

Update Post Wedding: We had the most incredible day of our lives. Art Factory delivered the most beautiful wedding that exceeded our expectations and everything went perfectly. We're still getting messages from friends and family that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. My father-in-law said we couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. We were in international for the whole thing, ceremony, cocktails, reception, & after party. We got ready in the ribbon room and the groomsmen had the VIP room, which were just such cool spaces. I don't think people realize what an incredible value it is to have basically a 24 hour (we arrived at 8am - left at 3am) venue rental of multiple rooms that includes decor, tables, chairs, set-up, breakdown, and pre-planning sessions, it's really amazing and unheard of. Our caterer was Ultimate Catering, our wedding planners were Elaborate Parties by Inez Bennet, Florist Bloom by Brit, & photographer Milton Velez. They all know the Art Factory well and were excellent collaborators. We're so happy with our choice to get married here. Also Rahim, Nathanial, David, & Donata were wonderful to us the whole journey. Love yall, we'll be visiting soon! Pre Wedding Feb 2022: Our wedding is coming up and I have to share how wonderful the planning experience has been so far. We had a 2 hour meeting with our wedding planner and Dave, the owner, treated us to some wine and delicious food which was just so lovely and thoughtful. Wedding planning aside, My fiancé and I are both artists, part of the reason we chose the art factory was the ability to access the space for photo & film shoots. We’ve filmed there twice this year for a project we’re working on together and that experience has been amazing as well and the team is so helpful. We’re so excited for our wedding and more moments at the art factory!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Was greeted by Dave the second we stepped foot in the Art factory at 830am who helped us bring EVERYTHING to our room to get ready. Our rooms were fully decorated and set up with Donatas help by literally 10am. Everything was taken care of for us to enjoy our day. Our guests loved the entire experience and so did we! We got so many compliments on how the venue was unique and breath taking. The day went SOOO smoothly thanks to how Dave and Donata run the show. We cant thank them enough.

As a wedding photographer in the tristate area, I photograph at many beautiful venues. However, the Art Factory is one of the most unique for wedding photography. Since the location is so large, there are so many options for various different images to be taken, all with unique backdrops. My favorite locations for images there were the Ribbon Room and anywhere there was a brick warehouse backdrop with large windows (which I believe were either on the 2nd or 3rd floors). As mentioned before, the venue is large, so getting to the various locations does take some logistical planning and time allocated for walking to and from locations, but all in all, it is a dream to photograph.

We went online in search of a unique wedding venue as we are non-traditional. We found and booked the Art Factory with 1 visit. The venue far exceeded our expectations. From many conversations prior to ensure our happiness the day of. Blanco, Rahim, Nathaniel, and all the other ladies made our day so special. A must see location for your wedding!

We booked the AF for our wedding back in 2019 for a November 2020 wedding, but postponed to November 2021. Our wedding day was an absolute dream! Everything came together amazingly. We knew we were taking on a big project with moving parts, but as soon as we saw the venue for the first time we KNEW it was it. We only looked at AF. We then booked all vendors who had worked there before: Richfield regency (catering); Posh DJs; Detailed Events by Lo (coordinator); Miotti Studio (photography/ videography); Glaze Donuts (we didn’t do a cake). Our ceremony was in the Linen room and reception was in the International room. Highly recommend everything about this place. It’s the most unique venue and honestly can be whatever you want it to be. Their app is super easy to use and their team is all aware of what’s going on day of, even if you’re a crazy control person like I am. I’m actually so sad I won’t be making monthly trips there to check everything out and organize our decor and such.

The Art Factory is a marriage of light, original brickwork, art, and historical architecture, which makes it an inspired venue to host your wedding. Fine art and historical architecture aside, the true genius of the Art Factory is its versatility. With seven studios to choose from, able to accommodate any size party from 20 guests to over 800, couples can work with the on-site planners to create the layout and dream design of their day. Each space is as unique as it is flexible, which means that the planning process can be as creative as it is detailed.

I am a local portrait and event photographer and have been using the Art Factory for 3 years. It is my happy place, a magical place. Every time I bring a client here for a shoot, they are mesmerized by the ambiance, the sheer coolness of the building. I love sharing in the History of the place while we walk through the building, capturing endless photos! Seriously, it's so big that I can't imagine ever getting to every spot! Thank you Dave and Donata for always being so warm and welcome to me and my clients. WE love this place and I am so excited about my upcoming shoots! Seriously, if you are looking for a unique place to do any type of photo shoot, the Art Factory is a playground for photographers and videographers. There is always something new and different each time, from fun props, scenery, setup! Even the bathrooms have the coolest vibes. The skies the limit!

This venue is an old brick factory. You walk in and the person at the door greets you and tells you where the elevator is. The elevator was an old huge elevator with a big horizontal door that half is pushed up and the bottom half is pushed down. When I got out of the elevator, there was a person telling you where to go for the wedding ceremony. Once they were married, the people who work there would direct you to the cocktail hour area. When that was over, they would tell you where to go for the reception. The place is rustic but decorated with beautiful white slightly transparent curtains with lights which was gorgeous. The food was delicious. They even had mac & cheese. Dessert was great and different. They chose waffle with banana, warm chocolate chip cookies & wedding cake. They had open bar since the cocktail to the end of the reception. It was a great place. Very different yet surprisingly beautiful. I took one star off because the ladies room was so tiny that only 2 people fit in there a bit tight.

The Art Factory combines rustic charm and affordability. We recently celebrated a milestone birthday here. The venue possesses an appealing loft/factory aesthetic. The staff is friendly, collaborative and accommodating. There is ample parking, whether on the premises or in a lot only a few blocks over. If you park in the aforementioned lot then you're in for a treat, as fantastic old-timey trolleys will shuttle you to and from the venue. We will certainly be back to explore the space further, as it is huge and no one room is the same. Each space in the venue, although different, serve as blank canvases to truly bring whatever event you may be celebrating to life. We cannot begin to issue enough thanks to Donata and Dave, and every helping hand we encountered while setting up, and throwing, our party.

Something seems oddly wrong or intentionally misleading with the 1-star reviews you see here. It’s like a gang of people are trying to cause harm by saying the same bad things over and over that simply aren’t true, or at least we didn’t see any of it and we were there for 17 hours. We celebrated our son’s wedding on Saturday 9-30 when there were 3 other weddings and we were honestly a little scared from reading the reviews but it was absolutely marvelous. Our day-of coordinator was Chris, whose sister got married there and whose mother (MOB!) is the architect for the Art Factory. Couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. The bathrooms are spacious and clean with baskets of essentials and well-stocked. Everything was clean from the moment we arrived at 8:30AM and stayed that way even though they were moving furniture and setting up props and decorations and signs and customizing the space throughout the day. Our family and friends haven’t stopped talking about it! Do yourself a favor and go see for yourself before believing the negative reviews. We plan on going back when (if!) our youngest gets engaged because there is no other venue like the Art Factory! Thanks Donata! You created a Very special place and you made our family very happy!

This wedding venue is absolutely amazing! From a guests perspective I can tell you this was one heck of a wedding! We’re from the Midwest so we’re not used to this kind of place and the venue just looks like some old factory on the outside but walk inside and WOW! I think the hardwood floors predate our state! The staff are all very kind and eager to lend a helping hand, the food was to die for and the entertainment couldn’t have been better! All that being said, I would highly recommend booking this factory place for your wedding!
