I think right now this is a only way without any traffic jam in Patna. Still in evening you'll find vehicles parked on road, and one complete lane is treated as parking area. You'll see food stalls on footpath and mainly people come here to spend peaceful time or with friends group. After 5pm this place looks like small fair.

Such a fun place to go with family, friends or even alone.. scenic, happening, a ton of food options. If you want calmness then descend a little bit to the river banks or sit on the rocks and see the amazing view.

Magnificent and serene place, offering a beautiful and peaceful escape from the chaos of the city. The river Ganga itself is breathtakingly beautiful, and its flow is both calming and invigorating. The bank is well maintained, with plenty of space to walk, sit, and enjoy the views. Additionally, there are several food trucks and street vendors offering local cuisine and snacks, making it a great place to stop for a bite to eat. Overall, Ganga Drive is a must-visit for anyone in Patna who wants to experience the beauty of the Ganges River and enjoy some peaceful time. Whether you're out for a stroll or just taking in the views, Ganga Drive is a fantastic place to spend a few hours.

In Patna, Bihar, India, there is an expressway that runs beside the Ganga river called Jp Ganga Path (Ganga Pathway) or Patna Marine Drive. The Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO) and the Government of Bihar are working together to build it. The long-planned Ganga Path project, also known as the Ganga Expressway, will link Digha to Kacchi Dargah along the Ganges. It has been compared to Patna's Marine Drive.

The Ganga drive is a road along the devin river Ganga, starting from Digha to Didarganj in Patna. The beautiful Ganga can be viewed closely from this road. There are many exit/entry points and U-turns at several places on the Ganga Drive road. One exit at Gandhi Maidan, one at PMCH, etc. There is a foot path along the road where people can walk and get pleasent views. One can sit on the bank of river Ganga for hours and relax their mind and soul. The place is good for family, kids, children, youths, couples, tourists etc. There is a big crowd like a fair at evening here. There are so many snacks and fast food shops here. If someone want to get a boat ride, they can. Boat starts from the Sunset point. It is also required to control the children and kids when a family go closer to Ganga water body. Driving a vehicle on this Ganga drive gives us a different and beautiful experience. The Ganga drive is mainly used to get out of the trafic rush of the Ashok Rajpath while going from Digha side to Didarganj side or in reverse direction. It will take lesser time to cover the distance. I recommend the visitors and tourists to come at this place and get a better experience. Please hit the like button if it is useful to you.

Ganges during monsoon, water has become muddy and water level also has increased. You will find numerous entries along the Marine drive road. The best time to visit is the evening. JP Setu looks very astonishing - this rail road is truly an engineering Marvel.

So this was my first trip home/Patna since the Marine Drive opened up to the public. Honestly, irrespective of how much I dislike Nitish Kumar ji, you'll be left searching for words to praise him. πŸ™πŸ½ It is a very nice place to walk with family, with a majestic view of Ganga and multiple choices of eateries throughout. Car parking is currently across the length of the drive, side of the road of course and free. If you have senior citizens/parents then I would advise you to either drop them by the circle or drive further towards Gandhi maidan side to look for entry to the ramp. Crossing those side rails is difficult/problematic for senior citizens. You could also get down for the boat ride or just to sit down in clean grass by the Ganga. To my surprise, I didn't see much litter and to further surprise no human or animal waste by the bank. Nitish ji would be remembered for making a beautiful place to spend time with family in Patna apart from his weird political career πŸ™πŸ½

One of the best place in Patna and the best thing is the sunset and sunrise. You can also board cruise from here and take the tour of Ganga. If you want to take a walk while enjoying the roadside stall foods then this is best for you. But be careful with the camera, if you are driving at high speed then you can be finned heavily. Also be careful while parking in public places, your vehicle can be towed. It's heavily crowded in evening and the whole patna is atthe Ganga drive on weekends evening so it can be way much crowded. It's also called Marine Drive of Patna.
