A hidden gem in Peabody! Granted, my boyfriend and I travelled from out of state, but we appreciated that it was easy to find, ample parking, and not very busy (granted it being a Sunday night) so we got our food quickly! It was all delicious! Our hostess was also very kind and attentive to our needs. Should we find our way back to the Boston area, we will definitely come back!

Good service, good cuisine, good atmosphere, and acceptable drinks, but you can have better sushi at a lower price elsewhere. They charge premium prices for sushi that is only adequate. Larger servings and greater substitution flexibility would be helpful.

Food is great, one of my favorite sushi spots and I been doing both take out and dining in for years. Would give 5 stars but quality of staff has gone down a lot. Service is incredibly slow and wait staff probably wouldn’t even check in on you if you were choking on a piece of sushi. That’s how inattentive they are. When I paid for my meal I left a $100 bill for a $70 meal and the waitress didn’t give me my change back. She came back with a big grin on her face a “thank you,” and not one cent of my change back. If she was a great waitress I would be more than happy to tip her almost 50% of the bill but honestly she didn’t check in on my table not once and our water cups were never refilled after drinking it within the first 15 minutes cus our drinks took forever to come out. So it just feels like I was robbed. Most likely an honest mistake but idk maybe she should have asked me instead of just pocketing the rest of my money. Anyway, the food is 10/10. Delicious sushi that is more enjoyable as takeout would never come back in to dine again.

Delicious food, exceptional service, and reasonable prices. With the pressures of inflation affecting our bottom line as consumers, I cannot stress enough how reasonable the prices are at Maki. As a couple, we ordered very liberally and the bill came out to only $58!

First time here last night. Atmosphere was nice. The server was really nice and made sure we understood the menu. We ordered crispy calamari, eel roll, kimono roll, spicy Cronk and octopus roll, and sushi Pizza. Crispy calamari was light and crispy, kinda plain but with the squeeze of lemon. Lemon really helped the calamari tasted even better and zesty. Eel roll is actually what I expected. Kimono roll is basically the shrimp spring rolls and it wasn't bad at all. Cronk and octopus roll was good but didn't take the octopus as much. Mostly, the glaze, Sriracha, and Cronk overpowered the taste of octopus. Still wasn't bad at all. Sushi pizza was good but it was heavy on the tempura. The tuna on the sushi pizza, basically melts in your mouth. Despite the tempura is bit heavy, all the dishes were good and delicious. And yes, we will come back in the near future.

My bf ordered 5 specialty rolls for takeout. One container had two rolls normal size, as I've gotten the last ten years. The other three were stuffed into one container and were the size of a plain roll, such as tuna and rice. Rolls weren't sliced all the way through, so they fell apart while we tried to take them out of the containers. The rainbow roll barely had any fish on it and was covered with avocado. I called and asked to speak to the manager. He first thanked me for the feedback, and he would let the chef know. I explained that I've been a customer for over ten years, and I wanted a refund for one roll. He proceeded to tell me he could only give me a complimentary app next time. He told me there was no one else I could talk to, and he didn't know when the owner would be in. If the restaurant charges $90 for five specialty maki, they should serve that. Another successful birthday dinner with our party of 5. Each of us picked a roll we wanted and a few basic rolls. This would be this first time I'll say I had not one thing to say other then, all the roll were fantastic even the basic Philly. The sushi tasted absolutely amazing and could be a new favorite in this area. The restaurant is cute and comfortable, but you should definitely step in and take a bite, you won't regret it. For our party of 5 we spent 220 for 8 rolls 2 deserts, but we also had about 6 alcoholic drinks added to our bill. You'll also find parking just across the street along a side street for public parking.

Went for my wife’s birthday and management greeted us at the door, we had Dominic as a server. He was very knowledgeable on the menu and helped us because it was our first time ordering sushi. Dominic and the other server did great with all tables being occupied. The chefs took great pride in their art work. Wish I took photos to share.will be back for sure!

Just not good. For a place that only serves sushi you would think it would at least be decent quality. Sushi was not fresh at all, small portions and all the 6 different kinds we got had some kind of sweet sauce on the plate that just made everything taste the same. We left plates unfinished, sadly not coming back.

We reserved the restaurant for our wedding reception last night. It was absolutely perfect for our 50 person wedding. Amy, the manager went above and beyond by making us a beautiful custom sign and floral arrangements. We had buffet style sushi and they made their full menu available to us. We got compliments from almost every guest about how delicious it was. I cannot thank these guys enough for making our wedding reception so perfect.

Food is amazing and is the reason why we keep coming back. However something is off with the operations. Everytime I come, tables are less than half filled (there are not that many tables) and there are about 7-9 staffs but the food always takes over an hour, only to be served when our appetite has far gone. We’ll still be back but not with an empty stomach.

Excellent specialty maki rolls with fusion inspiration. Check their specials, usually really really good. Melissa is an amazing server, very kind, soft, and not overbearing, great great service. Thank you!!

This place is amazing every time. Always takeout and always quick, easy, reasonably priced. I am new to sushi and whenever I have a craving it’s time to order from Maki. My absolutely favorite is the crab Rangoon maki. Always recommend. My only negative is I wish they were open for lunch!

I really wish I had pictures to show you all, but I thought this place was simply amazing! If you have an addictive personality, I would not eat the tempura fried Oreo dessert it is just too good. I would honestly go back for dessert anytime! The sushi itself was delicious with the perfect rice to filling ratio, and the flavors were all so fresh. So glad I found a little sushi gem in Peabody. I will definitely be back.

Clean, excellent service, fresh seafood and the staff is accommodating. It's a cozy comfortable environment that's dimly lit and music kept at a comfortable level. Definitely my new favorite sushi spot.

I got soooo sick!!!! Really badly!! I ordered a sweet potato roll along with a cucumber & avocado roll. I was up all night vomiting!!!! I got so sick I had to call out of work the following day. I called and the manager insisted I must of ate something else to get me sick, however, the rolls were the only thing I ate. I’m disappointed in my experience & exceptionally disappointed in the lack of accountability from the manager. In addition, I’m vegan so I informed them of this every time I make an order so I’m not sure what they cross contaminated but it definitely caused a violent reaction in my body. Please be very careful with this place, especially vegans. I won’t be returning. Ever.

After our favorite restaurant in Swampscott moved to other state we were looking for good sushi, and honestly it’s not easy to find a good place! And then we visited Maki sushi… They are doing really good job, everything is always fresh, tasty, combinations of ingredients in sushi just right and prices are reasonable! Also they make good cocktails (strong) 😃 This is our favorite place now 👍
