My wife and I had the pleasure to attend the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Airbase Georgia open house, Memorial Day 2022. They have a great collection of flying WWII aircraft on display, and some are available for rides, if your pockets are deep enough. I’m sure it costs a huge amount to maintain and operate these historical aircraft. What we enjoyed the most was spending time with the people of the CAF. Several of the folks that we were able to talk with, shared their experiences as military veterans, and aviation historians, based on their personal experiences. I would recommend visiting the CAF, or watching them at air shows whenever you can.

A good place to get close and educated about aviation. My little one loved the aviation day activities and education. A great way to spend an afternoon.

Wish I could give more stars. My boys bought me a ride on the T-6, which my father flew in WWII and the Korean War. They even have it dressed up with his famed squadron patch - the Mosquito Squadron. Everyone working there is a volunteer, and everyone we met is the friendliest person you ever met. They rightfully take great pride in the work they do and love to tell you the stories of their planes - and boy do they have some great stories. Truly a fantastic group of people doing some amazing work.
