I have been going here for 3 years and I was trying to stay a loyal customer but my last service was extremely bad. I got there early and there was only 1 esthetician named Sarai which was fine, but then I was waiting for about 15-20min and I could hear her having a conversation and giggling with a client in the back. The receptionist had to tell her that I was even there. I was getting a full brazilian and once she got started it was VERY painful as she was spreading it and it was because the wax wasn’t hot at all. It was a little warm, but I didn’t want to be difficult so I didn’t say anything. Once she said she was finished I looked down and could still visibly see a lot of hair (which were long) on the sides and on the top so I asked her if she could get it. She said that it was fine. Once I went to go check out the receptionist tried to ring me up for a brazilian AND a lower stomach. I was very taken back and corrected her and said “no I did not get a lower stomach wax.” The receptionist walked from behind the desk to show me on her body where her stomach stops and where her private area started as if I don’t know female anatomy. Once again, I said “no ma’am I did not get a lower stomach wax, I asked her to get the top of my private area which the hair would still show in a bathing suit”. I also explained to the receptionist that she didn’t go across my stomach either which is the crazy part. I would have maybe understood if she was going across my stomach with a soft wax, but I only told her to get the hairs that were at the start of my private area. Every other time I have came there, that part has gotten waxed, it was very obvious that it was a part of my brazilian. All women have different sizes and shapes, but as an esthetician she could see that my whole stomach was already bald and there was only new hair growth on my bikini area that grew since the last wax. I actually don’t really grow hair or on my stomach, back, or butt so i KNEW that was a crazy idea. She rung me up again for JUST the brazilian and when I was paying I selected no tip because the experience was so bad and the card reader popped up an error. She tries again and tells me “by the way that first question is asking about a tip”. I have a feeling she tried to reject the charge on her computer because I wasn’t tipping and I still did not tip. First of all I would have tipped her (like I do all the time) even though the wax was painful, but for her to try and tell the front desk lady to charge me for an additional service was the icing on the cake. It’s a shame because I really like the owner and met her when she still had the Brookhaven location but at this point I will not be coming back.

This was my first time going to Bare Wax and I must say that Taylor was very professional and gentle. She made sure I knew what was going on and she made me very comfortable. I will be back to see Taylor and she is awesome! I received a Brazilian wax and a V-facial. Thank you Taylor!

Olga does a great job doing my bikini and Brazilian sugaring, but if it’s not her, don’t waste your time! I had an appointment today with Kate, and if it was my first time going to Bare Wax I’d never return. Her attitude and demeanor were extremely off-putting, maybe she was having a bad day, but I was uncomfortable the entire time as it seemed like she genuinely did not want to service me. It was more painful than usual, the wax was too hot, and she kept making comments about how difficult it was, and stated said she didn’t have time to remove any ingrown hairs. I’ve never had as many issues as I did today with anyone else as long as I’ve been getting waxed (almost 10 years). Very unfortunate experience.

I went in for the first time last week and the atmosphere was great, but my service was not. I got a brazilian wax and the next day I realized the tech had not done a proper job. I had to shave and fix it myself. I also kept telling her the wax was too hot, but she kept going.

I had services at this place three times. I must say Eboni H. will definitely take care of all my needs! She is experienced and knows her clients well! Thank you, Enoni H. You're the best!!!

I'm a regular client at Bare wax, I've had a terrible experience today! The attitude of the technician and the front desk was so unacceptable. I wax my hairline and the neck is a very sensitive area all the previous technicians use a particular type of wax but she decided to use a different one ( lack of experience) It was so painful that I asked her plz it's the wrong type of wax and omg the attitude she gave me refusing to listen to me and she decided to leave me with wax all over my neck refusing to finish up then the lady on front desk came to the room attacking me too with an attitude that no I need to pay for the service!!! Like what???? Who is talking abt money here?? There’s wax on my neck!!! So disappointing!

The staff there is so friendly!! Got my first Brazilian wax and Taylor made me feel very comfortable and made the process painless as possible!

Third time visiting and I would definitely go back. I have had three different technicians but all have been good. I went for a full leg and underarm wax. I have been waxing since 1990. They were quick with very little pain. Olga was the technician scheduled and she was training someone. Both she and the trainee did an excellent job. Weeks afterward it still looked decent indicating the technique they used was good. Recommend and will go back.
