One of our favorite beaches on this part of the island! (Just beware of the pesky monkeys! More on that later…) The beach is a hugely popular surfing area, and the home of many international surfing competitions, so it’s very popular. We arrived in the afternoon and paid our entry fee of 15,000 rupees (about $1 US each). Walking down the stairs was an experience in itself, and then the stairs open onto an expansive white sand beach with surf shops, surfing lessons, and cafes. Strolling down the beach further, you will come upon interesting rock formations and caves. It is a popular photo and Instagram spot for that reason. Stay a little longer, and you can watch a beautiful Bali sunset from here! Finally, when you do visit, be very careful to watch your things if you are sitting on the beach close to the rocks or cliffs! The sneaky little monkeys running around will steal food, or anything that you might leave exposed that they like, especially shiny objects, jewelry, hats, sunglasses, etc. They are not aggressive, but just watch your stuff. This beach should definitely be on your list of beaches to visit when you are in the area, if only for an afternoon or some drinks and a snack at sunset.

A nice beach with natural shade by cliff. This beach serve you a lot, white sand, coral shore, rocky cliff, hidden cave, natural water flow, monkeys, ocean waves. This beach you can access with well build stairs. You can experience small enterance with cliff around. The ticket cost you around 10k per person. They already has clean toilet and wash area. On the beach, you can buy some food, drinks from local small shop. Do not forget to bring your beach towel, or you can buy it on the spot. Explore the beach then you can find hidden cave. You can park your motorcycle and car here only pay 2k per ticket.

Visited this beach yesterday. Water is unbelievable and clean, good waves for surfing. A bit overcrowded though. Toilets were surprisingly clean btw. Ah and monkeys , watch your belongings, monkeys like stealing things.

Small but very beautiful. If you’re into surf (or watching it), this is the spot to hang out for a sunset surf. People are super friendly, plenty of dogs around playing (and chasing the monkeys) .. and lots of people coming here to have a go at the surf.

Padang Padang beach is a popular surf spot located on the Bukit Peninsula in Bali, Indonesia. The beach is known for its beautiful scenery, crystal clear water, and great waves that attract surfers from all over the world. The beach can be accessed through a narrow entrance between two cliffs, which opens up to a small cove with white sand and turquoise water. Padang Padang beach is surrounded by lush greenery and rock formations, which make it a great place for taking photos and exploring the natural beauty of Bali. The beach is also home to several beachside cafes and restaurants, where you can enjoy delicious Indonesian cuisine and refreshing drinks while soaking up the sun. In recent years, Padang Padang beach has become more popular and can get crowded during peak season, so it is best to arrive early in the morning to secure a good spot. The beach is open to the public and there is no entrance fee. However, visitors are expected to dress modestly and respect local customs and traditions. It is also important to note that the waves at Padang Padang beach can be quite strong and are best suited for experienced surfers. Beginners are advised to take caution and stick to the smaller waves near the shore. Lifeguards are on duty during the day, but it is still important to exercise caution and be aware of your surroundings. Overall, Padang Padang beach is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Bali, whether you are a surfer or just looking to soak up some sun and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

It's a great beach, white sand and lots of waves rolling in. Quite a few surfers were out there. Boards are also available for rent. The entrance to the beach is interesting. Need to walk down stairs which follows the side of a rock face. Heaps of monkeys around the beach as well which I thought was fun. There's several stalls selling snacks, drinks and garments like t-shirts and sarongs. Good to support the local trade imo. The less ideal things about the beach are that it is super crowded with people and shows you where litter and plastics can end up. There's a fair bit of rubbish that gathers near the shore. Good thing is the small entry fee for the beach goes towards looking after the beach. As we arrived, there were several people walking up who were carrying big baskets on their head full of collected plastic.

Nice beach for beginner surfer. You have to pay entrance but there is a free toilett and shower. The water at the front was quiet dirty but if you swim out to the surfers the water is nice

Lovely beach, quite steep steps. You pay entry, but there are toilets. We went reasonably early in the morning, so pretty quiet. By 11am it was packed.

Very nice beach. Many steps to get down from the street, but nice "cave like" feel to get down. Many places to sit and swim. Nice big rocks to take beautiful photos from. Water is green and blue - a very nice combination. Many people surfing and enjoying swimming and the water. Nice bathrooms and shower when going back up. Nice beach!

Nature is always beautiful. Padang Padang Beach has been one of them. So pure, no crowds, perfect beach for swimming, tanning. Stray dogs guard the beach from the monkeys 🙊😅

It is really a small beach and unfortunately there were A LOT of plastic bottles and other trash were thrown in the ocean; it was annoying to see. The entrance fee was 25,000 rp and I think it’s not worth to visit at all. Also, if you have claustrophobia, it is not suitable for you because in your way to the beach you have to take the stairs that are kinda confined.

It’s a very busy beach. So, difficult to find a place in the sand where one can lay down and get a bit of Sun tan. Therefore, suggestion, get there early. There is an access fee: 1 usd per person. Nevertheless, the stairs between the rocks is very interesting. The water has a beautiful color, the waves a bit too strong and the bottom is rocky. Be careful. At the end, not a relaxing beach, but worth to visit. On the way out, there are showers and hoses to wash the feet. Included in your entrance fee, therefore, “free” 😉

Better beaches around. Entry free was 15k each and the sea and beach was quite dirty. Good for surfing and maybe for sunset but wouldn’t recommend staying here all day.

Beautiful beach. They ask 15k entry to go down. Pretty easy to reach because of the stairs. Make sure to go early in the morning, it gets really crowded around noon. There wasn’t space for everyone to lay down.

Fantastic and unique beach. Not too far from the cafe and restaurant. Most of the area was full of people but it’s possible to find a quiet spot nearby to relax, reading, or watch people surfing.

Padang Padang Beach is an iconic location in Bali, and it is unlike any other beach on the island. There aren't many waves. This beach is full of big rocks and has an entirely different atmosphere. Most of the time, Padang Padang Beach gets jam-packed with people. I would highly suggest against visiting this destination at peak times. If you forget anything, such as towels, several stalls on the beach sell most of what you need.

The best beach in south Kuta area in my opinion. It is clean and not too big. The admissions fee is affordable, Rp 10,000 for Indonesian and Rp 15,000 for foreigner. Clean toilet and shower area is available for free both besides the beach and at the entrance gate. One thing for your consideration, you need to take stairs to go down to the beach area, but it is worth it. Also come in the morning before 9 am for calm water and less tourist. Also great for catching sunset, no need pay expensive beach club admissions for a great sunset.

we came on a low tide so it was a bit of a walk towards the sea. it is also a rocky beach but you ha e small stalls around which makes it convenient for long stays. entrance fee is 15k and provides showers and toilets. wild monkeys are around which adds to its charm. a good beach but there are better, good for surfers tho.

Best place to watch surfers and a pretty calm beach. Be mindful of the monkeys up on the cliff. This beach can get packed, but it is still worth coming. There is a shade area to the left of the beach when facing the water. Food and drink vendors are on site as well as surfboard rental.

Cozy public beach with a 10K entrance fee. Clean water and clean shore, good to relax for a few hours in between activities. You can get your snacks and beer with you or you can help the locals. Also get yourself some grilled corn by the sea, it's very good (but dont try to bargain for the price😂). Make sure to keep everything in your bag, including sunglasses and phones for the monkeys🐒

The beach tucked away between the rocks. Ideal for surfing. Go in the afternoons/evenings if you want to enter the water and swim. There high tides early in the morning. There's also an entry fee for the space. Parking is available. The staircase going downstairs will take 5-7 mins to the beach.

Nice white sandy beach.. Not so big, only small spot but nice. If you like to do surfing, or just lying down on the beach. This beach is for you. Very close from parking area, so you don't need to walk too far to reach this beautiful beach. And along the way, you will enter "cave like" small access to walk down to the beach. All with good stair's steps. And most important, clean toilets also available here. On the entrance gate and on the beach. So, enjoy your beach time guys!

Beautiful beach on the southern tip of Bali. It was a 30-40 min drive or so from Jimbaran, so if you are in that area I would definitely try to visit Padang Padang beach. It was a bit crowded when we were there in the afternoon in early May. They have people selling food/drinks there too so it was nice to sip on a coconut while enjoying the beach.

Padang Padang Beach - Free The ocean waters in Bali are amazing, no need to second guess whether to jump in or not. Padang Padang beach's water was very warm, coming from South African beaches to here was a huge difference. There are some problems about this beach; nasty looking toilets and changing rooms, parking is slightly far, and the pathway down to the beach is a little crowded and so narrow that only one person can pass at a time. That being said, none of those should stop you from going to the beach and taking a dip here.

This is the dirties place to visit. And it cost 15000 per person . We left in 5 minutes and no one wanted to return money. Total waste.

  • 4/5 Ria R. 3 years ago on Google
To enter, you have to pay ticket 15 K for adults, 10 K for child. There is 80 steps from front gate to the beach. Unlike my expectation, the beach is small and not as beautiful as the photos on the internet. You also have to watch out of the monkeys.

Beautiful beach you can see it from the top of the bridge. Nearby there is a parking area it costs 1k for parking a bike. There is also an entrance fee for the beach it’s 15k. There is a second entrance at Le Cliff, if you just want to surf, so you can save the 15k. The beach is awesome also a great place for surfing, but beware of the monkeys they will steal everything from you, even your shoes, doesn’t matter what, if they want it then they will get it, if you leave it unintended.

Nice beach, no to much waves on the shore but if you want to surf just swim and reach the waves. The water is medium clear and the water is warm I like that. You find surfers and local people enjoying the sand.

Visited this beach in evening in late September'22. Entrance is attractive n impressive but the beach...... nothing impressive. Bali has many stunning beaches other than this.

Well hidden paradise.. Professionally run, and really clean. This great beach is only accessible via many steps, but its a wonderful tropical beach with a family-friendly surf. Would I come back again.. Most Definitely.. It's awesome..

I bet that the beach would look much more beautiful under the sun, but my experience here is nice. There were both locals and foreigners there, entrance fee was cheap, including free toilet and changing room. I dont surf but can tell that the beach attract quite a number of surfers.

Wonderful place. Good infrastructure! To reach the beach you follow a stair trail. Down on the beach there are few options for eating but worth it. Around the entrance gate you can find food.

I found this beach very beautiful and worth visiting. You pay entrance fee less than 1euro, which I found weird at the beginning but got used to entering public places and paying fees. But for the beach is worth it to go there through the stairs. We haven’t seen any monkeys there. We swam there and it was refreshing and good. I would recommend going there.

Personally I really liked this beach. It does get quite busy but regardless it’s beautiful. There is a small entrance fee.

Worth seeing if you haven’t been before. Cool cave walkway and beautiful beach! Every time I’ve been it’s been super crowded and people wanting you to buy their sarongs and bracelets. If you want to see it, go early morning before 10 👍🏽
