I came here a few times, really liked their salted egg bao and shrimp hakau. The place is always crowded, good ambience. Perhaps one of the most popular Chinese restaurants in Bali, would recommend for shared dine-in between family and friends.

22 Dec 2022 Go for breakfast, only 3 tables, the staff there just don't care about you, must call them to order. Service was bad. Dimsum is the worst I ever had. Was expecting high standard food, turns out disappointment. I am talking about this branch only Been eating at Laota in the old days where they only have one place in Tuban and still a small restaurant, it was so good. If you wanna eat at Laota, better go to the one at Sunset Road or Tuban. I don't recommend this branch.

Food is just fine especially the duck is very nice. The crispy prawn is just okay but it is needed to improve. The lectes is always good. The service should be improved as the waiting time should be quicker. The waiters are all good. The toilet was smelly. Overall was havig a good time here.

This is one of the best places to get dim sum and Hong Kong-style cuisine in the southern Bali area. When arriving at late night for dinner, most of the dim sum selections have been finished already. The staff are friendly and helpful. Garlic broccoli is simple but tasty. The porridge is very good 👍.

I knew this place when they first open at cikarang Jababeka 2. This place is a legend for steamed shrimp with minced garlic, fish steamed and rainbow porridge. They don't accept reservations, walk in only. Some other porridge that taste good too is the crab porridge. Porridge lovers will like it here. Roast Duck have good flavor but the duck is just too thin. A few negative things about this place, is the cleanliness problem, the menu book was sticky, I suggests you need to wipe & clean it. The table was also stiky & dirty, we need to wipe it with wet tissue and the tissue became dirty. Last the tissue compartment was broken, the bottom part of the tissue box was broken so it was messed up when i lift the tissue box. But it's still a good porridge restaurant.

This place was full when we arrived yesterday. The duck, fish and the congee was delicious. We havent tried the dimsum, but we would recommend this place for the duck.

A quite nice chinese restaurant with pretty windows. Love the bubur pelangi taste. Eventhough the look did not appealing at all, once having a bite you tend to eat for more. The soyu ginger was a good complement too. The portion was good for two people Siomay was juicy n tender, slightly salty n mix well with the chili sauce provided. Fengcao size was enormous, my mum liked it n say it was really delicious.

They have one of the best porridge in Bali, the service is not that great mostly waiters looks like having difficulty to smile. The very odd service when they serve very hot beverage without handle make it impossible to hold (sometimes we want to drink tea while its hot).

Not as good as expect. Dimsum was just OKAY and serve in cold or room temperature. The only delicious thing we ordered was chicken corn soup. It so crowded chinese restaurant and has only 2 restroom which so smelly. Service is okay. Reccommend to go to other place if you want Chinese food.

0.1 Star Rating. My friends and I were so excited to have Chinese Food at Laota and we were SEVERELY disappointed. The service was horrible (lady staffs had attitude) , fish was undercooked - which was freshly caught but the flavour was bland and it was one the most expensive things on the menu. I had a stomach ache not long after eating the raw fish. Three things we ordered didn’t come and they brought out one vegetable dish that we didn’t order which we still had to pay for. When my friend asked for where the chicken was to the staff 3 times, the staff then proceeded to roll her eyes. Which I then called the supervisor to express our frustrations and they hadn’t even cooked the chicken yet (we waited two hours for this to come, and it wasn’t even cooked!😅). Was such an expensive dinner and it really wasn’t worth the money or the time. No compensation for anything. Would NEVER come back and would highly NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone craving good & wholesome Chinese food. By far one of the worst dine in experiences I’ve had with friends since we’ve been to Bali.

good foods with decent place to park a car. their cakwe (for porridge) is amazing. their chicken feet is slightly better than the others i tried in indo. their seafood porridge is good too with huge chunks of shrimps and squids.

Great service, ordered the food for takeaway and the waiter came straight to our car where we were waiting. And we didn't even asked. Although waiting for the food was a bit long, in my opinion it was worth the wait with that kind of service.

I have been coming to this place for years and yes it was the best dim sum in Bali. However this is my third time since it reopened post Covid closure and every time was progressively worse then the last time . Several months ago the did not have any steamed rice during the lunchtime, last week the fish head soup was really unpleasant and today the dim sum way bellow par.... smaller less stuffing overcooked ....

Clean and neat. Nice atmosphere during quiet hours. Well mannered and quick service. The food suits my tastebud. All in all this place is great!

This place has a better ambience compare to the one in Tuban. They open until 12am (last order at 11.30pm), so this place has always been my comfort place whenever I work until late night and haven't had my dinner. The porridge is superb and really warm you up. It really comforts you and you will have a good sleep on the next day. It is one of my favorite restaurant that I definitely want to come over and over again.
