Nice stop from the highway, 20 minute ride from the highway. Beautiful fairytale like location, we took a short 25 min hike that led us from boulder to boulder, never expected it to be so beautiful, sadly the restaurant was closed. A little bit more information about the history of this place would pleasure me. Therefore I give them 4 stars in stead of 5.

The castle looks very nice but I couldn't sleep all night because the mice or rats or whatever it was were scratching walls so loudly it was unbearable. Also the cave tour and dinner was very overpriced nearly 60€ for a little piece of dry chicken and cold pasta. breakfast was really good.

The room we stayed in was average but good enough what you would expect from a older style hotel reception was friendly, please understand the this is an older style castle/house so you won't want to bring a lot of luggage as there is no elevators.

We decided to stay at Burg Rabenstein for one evening in a trip around Germany, and it was well worth the stop. The castle and its grounds were beautiful. There is a local cave and falconry on-site; however, they were both closed for the winter (we visited in November). Even so, we were able to take advantage of the local hiking trails around the castle, which we thoroughly enjoyed. A free tour of the castle is included with your reservation booking, which was informative and enjoyable. The tour is in German. Hotel staff were incredibly welcoming and made our visit very enjoyable. The room was very large, clean, and offered a huge soaking tub. The room was a bit noisy - you could hear everything in the hallways and rooms above/below. However, that wouldn't deter us from visiting again. Breakfast was free and included a nice spread of meats, cheeses, granola, yogurt, various coffees, and eggs made to order. There was a dinner murder-mystery performance the night we stayed; however, it was already booked up. The concierge suggested two local restaurants, one of which was right down the road and had amazing food. Overall, we loved our visit and look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Germany.

Beautiful castle. There are a lot of wonderful views around the area. The people in the castle were very kind and helpful. It is in a remote location, so be prepared to find entertainment for yourself or be willing to drive. Also, a lot of the onsite activities do not happen in Mondays which limits what you can do.

Super nice and beautiful castle to stay. The rooms in general are very comfortable but if you visit during summer the rooms are a bit too warm. The castle decorations are nice, especially on the second floor. The restaurant is good but the menu needs to offer more dishes. In general a solid option for a hotel/castle stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Burg Rabenstein. From the moment of driving onto the property until we checked out. We wish our stay was longer! The natural scenery of the area is great for the soul. We loved coming back everyday from our outings and relaxing at the property with evening strolls. Opening the windows in our room in the evening was breathtaking. Our breakfasts were

Nice hotel in a secluded location. Real castle with castle decor all over (knights, chests, torches). The suit we had was spacious and clean. No air conditioning but not to bad without it in Spring. The restaurant og the castle had a themed dinner. So if you plan to have dinner at that restaurant, call and reserve a table, otherwise you will have to look for dinner outside. It gets a bit noisy with various people wondering the hls during themed dinners. But they calmed down around 10-11 pm or so. Breakfast was a bit awkward. Serving personnel don't speak English and there was no scrambled eggs, potatoes or anything you can serve yourself. You have to order that and serving personnel was not very helpful. Overall, not a decent experience.
