An absolutely serene experience especially during the dusk. The sunset view was exceptional and would be able to capture some excellent pictures. There is a good walkway through which you can stroll through the whole stretch of the lake. It is kid friendly and also very calm and peaceful. For those who would like to spend a beautiful evening walk with their friends or family, this would be a highly recommended place.

Ammersee is a very good picnic place, where one can spend complet day. It is at a reasonable distance from Munich. Specious green area for children to play. Good for boating.

A great escape from Munich to go for a relaxing place. You can spend the entire day at this place. Great terraces, sit on the beach, go on a ride by boat and make a walk on the promenade around the lake

Decent lake, great for doing cycling around, a full round is about 45km, mostly flat and easy... a lot of stops to grab something to eat or drink, many places to be able to get to water and swim... highly recommend family friendly location. Most of the parking places are free... can easily spend the whole day there and relax...

A beautiful lake with boat rides , quiet walks, an afternoon well spent. The boat rides range between 15 to 20 euros for an hour and can accommodate 5 people. We took the paddle boat and it was fun. One can easily spot the Alps from here amidst lush green surroundings. There are also ice creams shops, cafés and drinks.

A really wonderful place. Sit by the lake maybe even have a picnic. Better to go early during the week when it’s not so full of people. Also popular among natives to Munich. On a good clear day you can see the mountains past the lake.

I got down at Utting and then walked around Ammersee.Nice cosy place to picnic around or take a bath and relax.The water was not so blue as i would have expected but its still very beautiful.Lot of garbage cans around to dispose conceivable.The bike track is also great, i would certainly try next time.

Of you want to experience "Sea" in Munich, it is definitely a good place to go. The transportation is also very easy to reach. The last stop of S8 is this nice place. You can go there for both swimming or resting🏊🏻‍♀️🧘🏻‍♀️

Simply beautiful. A lovely place to go on a warm summers day. Not so crowded like other lakes nearby. The locals are extremely friendly. Lots of nice places to stop and have a drink after a relaxing day watching the world go by. Feels like a mini vacation

Take a nice stroll by the side of the lake, you can also take a paddle boat, or go on a cruise. You could take a dip into the lake. Dog friendly, dogs can also cool off in the lake. Just look out for signs that mention "Dogs are not allowed".

Lovely place to swim and chill.

One of beautiful lake nearby Munich to strolling around. It has beautiful sunset here. Other than that, you can also take ferry from one side to others (but only available in Summer until Nov). There are also small castle, garden and fish statue. Recommended for family and also kids (playground also free). It has also beer garden and restaurants available for mommy and daddy.

What a beautiful lake. Maybe not the one that springs to mind first when touring Bavaria but certainly worth a visit. There is a nice and pretty promenade, the people are very laid back and the place is generally not overrun.

Super place for a short family from Munich. I went with stroller and a dog and it was suitable for us too. Not crowded as Eibsee, the water is clearblue.

Good views feeling peaceful here, everything like in painting so beautiful so calm . The place we should be able to visit if you go to Munich try to look around by boat very nice and you can get nice view around Anmersee ..... Don't miss it. I love to go again.

Beautiful, beautiful. Especially when the sky is clear and you see the mountains embracing the valley of the river Ammer. Good spot for kayaking and wind surfing.

Such a beautiful and magic lake in Herrsching

We visited this lake at Buch am Ammersee spot. We parked on the road which was free of charge. Could spot alps from there after walking along the coast. There are many beautiful spots to sit and soak the beauty of the lake. Try not to miss the sunset.
