We did a last minute road trip and so hubby decided to bring us here. We didnā€™t do much research so we didnā€™t know that prior arrangements need to be arranged before we could visit. When we tried to drive in, we canā€™t locate this place cos the point on the map isnā€™t quite correct, itā€™s further in. We explored the place and found it quite deserted. The dogs are loitering around everywhere. Quite scary to drive around there... Do check out their Facebook or blog page to arrange for your visit.

Happiness land, when u r greeted by happy eager faces of dogs, cats, horses, monkeys, wild boar, ducks, basically anything abandoned by humans) all your troubles just melt away. Prior arrangement is required to visit on non planned tours. the sanctuary is run by volunteers with regular stressful day jobs. So an email would be more appropriate than a phone call. Come with an open heart n u will leave with a mind full of beautiful memories. Warning: wet kisses and being buried by curious kitties are almost unavoidable. Tips: 1. bring apples and carrots for horses 2. Bring berries for monkeys 3. Wet wipes and a change of clothes, or you can buy a new t-shirt. Trust me, your car or fellow commuters will thank u

A wonderful place for the street dogs and cats. They organise monthly visits there too. A good place for children to get to know these animals.

Visiting the sanctuary is on a pre arranged basis, they often have it on their fb page so if you like you will be informed when the next one is available. The animals were all happy to see us visiting, and they are all well looked after. Yes there is a lot of dogs greeting you at the front, but they are all happy and love seeing people. With 700 dogs to be looked after I think they are spread out over the property in proportion. There are of course gangs of dogs hangers ng out in different areas. With 300 cats there are a number of different houses that house them all. It is so much funded joy to go in and sit down and have cats come and sit in your lap and purr purr purr. Nothing makes me smile more than to see these four legged babies be happy. They love cuddles and will love all the attention you can spare. There are so many other animals at the sanctuary to see. Thereā€™s the horses, boar, ducks, monkeys, and m sure Iā€™ve missed some out, but t it was an awesome afternoon to spend there. The guides informed us of why and how the animals came to live at the sanctuary and how much it costs to feed all these animals. These animals can be adopted, or sponsored or even just donating is a huge help to them. There is a surgery on the premises that perform many operations to help the local animals. They spay and neuter cats and dogs, as well as release the street animals after being fixed up to help curb the over population. The sanctuary is not government subsidies, so only donations is how they keep going. The staff do an amazing job and so do the volunteers. Please help them and donate monthly to help keep them creating a better place from r the animals in Johor. I love this sanctuary.

Amazing sanctuary for dogs, cats, gibbons and horses. This is not a tourist attraction, so please contact the organisation beforehand if you plan to visit. There are special tours available on their facebook page. The space here is an fine example of how animals should be treated, unlike how they are mercilessly culled in Singapore. All the dogs here are friendly and full of love and energy, unlike those in the cramped shelters in Singapore. Really speaks volumes of the situation just across the causeway. You will definitely enjoy your time here!

The place is still in operation but no longer open for visits. Do be careful of the dogs that are wondering around as they will swam around you. If you attempt to pet them, thereā€™s a high chance of turning on you.
