Unlike
Maimun
Palace,
Azizi
Mosque
is
one
of
the
least
well-known
North
Sumatera
cultural
heritage.
It
is
also
used
to
be
Malay
Kingdom
called
Kesultanan
Langkat.
Some
of
my
ancestors
were
buried
in
the
honourary
cemetery
complex.
My
great
grandpa
was
living
there
and
became
The
Great
Master
and
my
great
grandma
was
A
Head
Chef.
Meanwhile,
my
grandpa
only
spent
his
childhood
there,
he
later
moved
to
Medan,
became
an
army
and
fought
the
Dutch.
He
refused
to
be
recognized
as
national
hero
but
he
used
to
serve
the
nation
by
becoming
Lurah
(Head
of
the
Village
in
Pandau
Hulu
as
an
honour
from
the
new
established
Indonesia
government)
and
buried
without
honour/hero
title
in
this
cemetery
complex.
There
was
also
one
of
recognized
Indonesia
hero
buried
there,
Tengku
Amir
Hamzah.
As
seen
from
the
architecture
design,
I
am
amazed
by
the
remarkable
lamp
installation
which
made
by
bronze,
silver,
and
gold.
The
culinary
foodcourt
in
Tanjung
Pura
is
one
of
the
best
one.
