It’s so nice to visit this state , such a huge sculpture. Great for catch photography and the environment is great to walk along near by place . There is also a kids play park. Plenty parking.

Pelican Pete has been our favorite spot for family photos for generations! Every year we stop by and watch the fish around Pete's feet, take a few pictures and then see what flavors are available in the local ice cream shop. The upper park area is great for little ones to run off some energy after (or before) a long car ride!!

I grew up in this town, and never remember the river being this low in the Mill Pond. Still fun to walk down and see the Pelican. It is definitely in need of some upkeep though. Check out the rainbow colors in the photo of the Mill Pond Apartments, bottom right... God's promise!!

The Giant Pelican Sculpture is a fantastic roadside attraction. Nicknamed Pete it stands on a concrete base at the bottom of pretty quick flowing water. There’s easy parking in the area and the pelican is a fun photo opportunity. There’s a beautiful park surrounding Pete with a playground, green space, plenty of benches, and a plaque with the history of Pete. You can take stairs down to the platform and get a close up photo. The concrete is very slippery when water is high! Fun tidbit is the town will occasionally dress Pete up. I’ve seen him with a swim cap on to cheer on the local high school team and a scarf in cold winter months.

Stop 3 of my MN road trip to the various "World's Largest" sculptures! Pete was still standing strong despite the cold. Great scenic park and town!

Love pelicans! Such a Crackup that we found an interesting stop. Needs a little paint, but worth the small detour. Nice little town too👍🤣

The pelican is a little hard to find. It's sits in the river valley. Also needs some repairs but the kids fishing by it were a hoot. Made the stop well worth it.

Stumbled across this lovely park. I just wanted to stretch my legs and got to see a pelican sculpture, water, swing, etc.
