The rate is not for the food but for whomever Mathew Baum is that replied so unprofessionally to my email because I made a comment regarding food handling. I decided to leave a comment online. In the reply I mention everything was good up to the moment my food came out of the oven. A young lady came from outside with gloves on and proceeded to cut our pizza with the same gloves she came outside with and touched door without once washing hands or changing her gloves. I had to ask her to change her gloves. I received a reply by email stating I had "jumped to conclusions". I was waiting for my food next to the register. This young lady came from outside!! If she was delivering food(serving) to people seated, that is what she should be doing! Not touching the food coming out of the oven. You should have a different person posted doing that job!!! And they had enough staff to do so that day!! I'm not one go to the extreme but so many people get sick(stomach virus, HepA, salmonella, etc.. from food handlers that I thought I would bring it up to their attention for future reference. See below the email I received from the online comment all because I mentioned I wanted to report it to the health department.... Erika, Thanks for your email. We take sanitation very seriously and I see from your email you jumped to a lot of conclusions without really knowing much about the situation. First of all we do require all employees to change gloves and wash hand in between doing so when touching any surface that has contact with peoples bare hands such as door handles. The employee you were referring to was delivering a pizza outside to a guest and was able to do so without touching any surfaces as our doors have push bars that we open using our backside. Feel free to report us to whomever you feel you need to, we have exemplary records as we run a first class operation when it comes to food safety. I am sorry you are deciding not to come back based on not your food quality or your actual experience but your ideas of what "might" have happened. Regards, Mathew Baum

The manager gave great customer service with a smile, her trainees looked blank. My pizza crust was burnt but I was so hungry I didn’t want to send it back. Everyone else at my table liked their pizza. I liked that I could control the ingredients and keep my calories down. As build your own pizza restaurants go this was okay.

It's ok. The pizza is good and the whole build your own pizza concept is solid, but the toppings are lacking a little quality. I mean, it is what it is. There should be a few more topping/ sauce options but it's ok. Cheesy and the kids like it so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Make your own pizza creation... fun place to go with friends and kids. Get creative with so many toppings and styles. The prices are reasonable. The sweet pizza can be a lot so grab a doggy bag. If you’re eating healthy, salads are an option but why...

Horrible experience. I work in the medical field and went during my lunch break only to leave extremely bothered and upset. This employee was disrespectful and even shouted at me in front of other clients and her coworkers. I was only there for about 15 minutes and she made my experience an absolute nightmare. Someone with this behavior should not be working for a customer service industry. This employee is unprofessional, rude and it gives a terrible look for the company. None of the employees have name tags and when I asked for a name of this lady that serviced me she refused. When I asked for the manager she claimed to be the manager and refused to give me any number for direct manager/store owner/corporate. I’ve eaten at Pieology for years and NEVER have been treated in such a poor manor. The rest of the staff was kind and even apologized to me on her behalf for the way I was treated today…..What kind of manager is allowed to get away with this attitude?

Food is good! We highly enjoy their pizzas. However, the soda machine is always out of most drinks. And the pizza cooking isn’t always consistently cooked right. Even though I ask to make it toasty. Sometimes they rush it and it feels raw. Also the employees focus so much attention to mobile order and not enough on the actual line.

Who doesn't love pizza. I know I sure do. This place lets you customize your own pizza right in front of you. What could be better than that! They have different pizza crusts to choose from including cauliflower and traditional. They also have some signature pies to try with gourmet flavor combinations. I chose the chicken bacon Alfredo pizza. It was delicious. It had a perfect traditional pizza crust that was soft and chewy. They dress it up with Alfredo sauce instead of tomato sauce. Then it's topped with chicken, bacon, spinach, and olive oil. It was great. I would recommend this place for a quick bite since it took about five minutes to make the pizza. It cooked quickly and there was plenty left for another meal later. If you like pizza make sure to stop here.

Bland. First time at Pieology but I've done similar concept Za joints. Got a sausage mushroom version and ate two slices. The rest will not be consumed. It looked fantastic but all I could taste was the sausage. Sauce, crust and cheese make the pizza. I tasted no sauce at all. Not recommended.

William the manager treat super bad, make feel that my English was impossible to understand and also couldn’t have for me an option besides cheese to something similar without being dairy. Food really good but service was very bad, and also I noticed he didn’t put my pizzas right away but he waited minutes before putting my pizzas on the oven. It took longer that everyone else.

Wonderful service and food! My wife and I went today and had a great experience. Surprisingly it’s not that expensive either. 2 pierise pizzas and a drink. After tax and tip it was only 14 a person… Also Alexis is the best!

First time in this place and most likely the last. I ordered the deep dish style pizza and what I got was a thick pan pizza style which I really hate. 80% of the pizza was just the tasteless bread. To make things worse the few pepperoni on top where burnt. I left the entire bottom and tried to each the tomatoes, sauce and cheese. It was a disaster. Sorry Pieology but I have eaten real good pizza and specially Deep Dish style. You should eliminate this option from the menu or at least change its name because it is not a deep dish style at all.

I love the concept of creating your own pizza as you go.. The open kitchen is a plus, being able to see my pizza being made firsthand in front of me is awesome . Being able to add more of your favorite toppings to your pie, and watching your pizza be created in front of me was an experience. Good atmosphere, great place for kids and pizza lovers

🍕 is amazing!!! 2 🌟 off for the not so great service. Cross food contamination on the entire bar... Staff usually rushing and sloppily building the pizza. Update 2/12/19: as with my last edit, the rating just keeps getting lower with this place. 1 🌟 off this time for just inconsistency with the 🍕. Store looked like it was closing about an hour early. Zero tea/lemonade/juices available, it looked cleaned out for the night. Regular crusts were very unevenly made (some with parts of dough missing on the really thin areas). Management either doesn't care or this is the level of service they expect from their employees. I may not revisit again to leave another review.

Very disappointed. This place use to be a good place before Covid, but now really needs a good management. Food still good quality, but service is bad. Place was dirty and attendants very slow, more worried about their personal interaction than helping customers. 2 starts is already too much.

Um, the air conditioning is good. The pizza is eh..not out of this world but good. The bottom of the crust was a little too crispy for me. They have a decent amount of toppings. The mango lemonade is fire! The table seating is eh. Honestly my experience here was just okay. Staff was friendly.

Worst customer service experience of my life! My friend and I stopped at Pieolgy Pembroke Pines for lunch today. There were no other customers in the restaurant, but 3 employees were obviously busy making pizzas. We approach the counter and one of the employees says: we are working on a catering order, so it will be a while. We say ok and wait… after about 10 minutes with no one even acknowledging us… we step up and ask, how long is a while. An employee pulls up a receipt that is very long and looks at it, then turns around without answering us and goes back to packing a pizza away, without saying a word. We stand there for a few more minutes, and not a word from any of the three employees there. So we walked to Habit Burger next door and got treated with the respect a customer deserves. It was my first time at Pieology, and will never set foot there again!

I have never received a pieology pizza I didn’t like. However, yesterday (11/21/22) I ordered me and my boyfriend a pizza using DoorDash. We got the pizza and owe my goodness talking about distasteful. It was not cooked properly so we had to put them back in our oven. They didn’t bother to slice it. I asked for one of the pizzas to have after bake pesto sauce. How they mixed up a green pesto sauce with ranch dressing is beyond me. We asked for cauliflower pizza crust and herb butter - well that never happened!! Sloppy sloppy sloppy sloppy. I won’t be ordering there for quite sometime. Disappointing!!!😡😡

Fun casual atmosphere where you can test your levels of creativity on a pizza. Fresh ingredients and friendly staff make this a great choice for anytime. The service is fast and organized. Well worth a try. Priced well and located close to major roads. We will be back.

I had seen this pizzeria from visiting the plaza and always wondered about and heard about it via an elementary school who does fundraisers there. The pizza is made on the spot while you choose everything from the crust, butter or garlic butter on the crust right down the sauce and an infinite amount of toppings to choose from. The ingredients are fresh to include, meats, cheeses and vegetables and pizza does not come out salty so you can tell it's fresh not preserved. The addition of dried rosemary herb would be nice to offer. The menu also has desserts once you complete you pizza. I ordered one regular sized pizza and two Bambinos.

Decent pizza spot for build your own pizza with many different toppings, bases, cheeses, & crusts. The ingredients were good, the concept is great (but it’s been done before), & the staff members were not friendly or helpful at all during our visit. All in all, it could use some work. Pricing is also weird, two $9.99 pizzas, soda, & 2 cookies ended up being $38 somehow. I do recommend the chocolate chip cookies though.

It has a good concept with make your own pizza and you get to pick your own ingredients. It's got like a fast food/subway feel but much better quality. We enjoyed our pizzas. It was fresh and tasty! I got the deep dish but was slightly disappointed. While it was good, the edges were a bit burned. The crust was pretty thick but the layer of ingredients wasn't enough. Don't expect a true Chicago style deep dish.

We really appreciate the services received from these guys today, both pies we ordered were well cooked and they are very generous on the portions. Special thanks to the new assistant manager. He has been very sweet and attentive. Looks like good leader. Thank you guys for making a difference! I believe good customer services needs to be recognized. It goes a long way!

Ordered 3 pizzas at the restaurant. Drove home only to find out they gave me someone else’s pizza. No one answers the phone when you call. So returned and reordered writing each ingredient down and still they didn’t add the artichoke topping requested. Husband said his pie rise looked like a broken kidney. Saw pizzas coming out of oven with the toppings spilling out on one side. Pizza is definitely not made with any love!! No manager present to do a refund so I just had to wait another 1/2 hour after they made the pizzas for all the people in line. I’ve seen this this location start up when they had beer on tap, chicken wings, great pizza and great service and attitude to now where all you can order is pizza and they can’t even get it right!! This place needs a real manager that will train, observe to ensure quality, oversea the operation, ensure customer service and be present! And for God sake get the sign fixed! We don’t call pizza “PIE” in South Florida!

  • 1/5 robbie 3 years ago on Google
Don’t even bother coming here when it’s busy, I came in to order a pizza on my break just to be told that they’re catering 60 pizzas and they’re gonna need 10 minutes til they can take my order. I sat and waited while 10 minutes turned into 30 minutes. So I left and went to mod pizza, same topping and way better service!

Order this with vegan cheese and other fresh vegetables and you will have a healthy and delicious pizza. We always appreciate that they clean the over if you order a gluten free or a cauliflower pie before they prepare it and place it inside, to ensure that our pizzas are not picking up any of the other unwanted ingredients. Make it your next visit and you will love it! Thank you team Pieology!

This place is awesome!!! It is much better than chain pizza places like pizza hut, Papa Johns, etc. The quality of the ingredients are unsurpassed. They also make it fresh and made to order right in front of you. It is like a subway for pizza creation. The staff are also very friendly and are knowledgeable about the menu. The pizza is also very light and you don't get that weird indigestion after eating it like with chain pizza restaurants.
