I
like
the
gym,
but
their
aftercare
programs
lacks
experienced
staff,
proper
child
supervisors,
resources,
and
transparency.
This
program
could
work
for
kids
who
don't
require
much
supervision,
but
I
don't
recommend
it
if
you
have
younger
kids.
My
son,
who
is
in
Kindergarten,
attended
the
program
for
three
months
and
was
very
dissatisfied
with
the
quality
of
care:
1-
When
you
join
the
YMC
aftercare,
they
will
tell
you
they
group
kids
based
on
their
age,
but
the
truth
is
they
combine
the
kids
most
of
the
time
and
are
over
the
child-to-staff
ratio.
My
son
was
in
the
Pembroke
Pines
location
had
over
75
kids
and
four
staff
(2
of
them
supervisors),
and
sometimes
they
will
be
running
the
programs
with
less
staff
since
most
of
the
counselors
are
attending
college.
This
shows
in
the
lack
of
supervision
and
experience.
My
son
started
experiencing
bullying
and
instead
of
addressing
the
situation
this
continued
to
escalate,
until
I
had
to
take
him
out.
2-
The
program
director,
Karla,
is
very
friendly
&
accessible
when
you
sign
up,
but
she
will
be
challenging
to
get
on
hold
when
you
start
having
issues
because
she
doesn't
have
the
time.
She
is
responsible
for
managing
ALL
the
YMC
aftercare
programs
in
Broward
plus
managing
the
PP
Family
Center.
This
is
why
she
is
so
difficult
to
get
on
hold,
and
her
staffs
are
having
a
hard
time
too
(the
programs
lacks
direction).
3-
Lots
of
safety
concerns
with
their
outdoor
play
area
and
the
staff
takes
a
lot
of
time
fixing
issues
that
require
inmediate
attention.
For
example,
for
a
over
a
month,
there
were
bricks
discarded
all
over
the
playground
and
all
they
did
was
restrict
the
area
by
using
a
“caution"
tape.
