We visited this location back in August for my birthday. It was lovely to see the staff I’ve skate while dressed up as a chicken and Olaf from Frozen. It was super cute and entertaining. Made my day! 😅 We have actually been here a couple of times and always have a blast! Although, I struggle ice skating, it is very fun. For those contemplating on trying it, give it a shot! The prices are very affordable. I love that they sell snacks and beverages such as hot chocolate! It adds on to the atmosphere. It always gives you a boost of energy to keep going! The staff is always friendly and helpful. I absolutely love this place ⛸💕

Zero stars is not an option. I was excited to skate at Pines, having heard it was a good facility. Must have been a cruel prank because this was the worst facility I have even been at throughout my 30 years on the ice all around the country. The bathrooms were on par with those in a third world bus station. Trash everywhere to include the lobby and stands. Everything incredibly run down on the public skate side. Chaos on the ice…insanely overcrowded to the point I had to leave because of safety concerns since the on ice staff just let the chaos go on with little regard for everyone’s wellbeing. After 10 minutes we left. We were getting hit from behind by out of control people, cut in front of, people out of control falling at our feet, people skating in the opposite direction, and those training seals flying left and right. Impossible to keep track of everything flying at you from every direction. Coupled with insane overcrowding, I’m shocked in those 10 minutes that I didn’t see someone get seriously hurt. When I walked in I saw the max capacity sign at 3500. They must have all been on the ice at public skate. They should limit admission or the number of people on the ice at one time. Maybe the hockey leagues are ok, but this place is simply gross in upkeep and it’s sanitary conditions. Save yourself the time and injury and drive to another ice den. Yuk. Whoever runs that place obviously has no pride in their facility.

Excellent place to have a blast with those you care about. Bathrooms need some attention.

Update: Not even 10 minutes later we got a call from Michael who very kindly answered all our questions and reassured us that the response from that employee was not appropriate. I also approached another instructor right before the call and he was also very kind and answered our questions. Glad to see that this was a unique occurrence and we will continue to come here to learn and skate! Just had a very unfortunate interaction with one of the front desk staff. My 2 kids are on their 3rd course here and we decided to buy them their own skates. They were falling left and right so right after the class my husband went over to the front desk to see if he could talk to one of the instructors to look at the blade and get a recommendation of skates. This person reply was that he would have to pay 30 dollars to talk to an instructor for half an hour. He explained the situation and that they had just literally finish the class but they would not budge. I find this outrageous especially when we have invested a good amount of money on this place and that kind of response is simply unacceptable. Hopefully this place will train their staff in customer service and actually care about the success of their students.

The Pines Ice Arena is a fun and family friendly place. They have ice skating lesson, hockey league, and party room. You can host a birthday there.🎈They have a food bar. The service is friendly and helpful. We recommend friends and family. We gave them 9.0 out of 10

Besides for being the only activity to do on Christmas Day, this place is worth coming to anytime. Very friendly staff, clean rentals, good music, fake snow from the sky?! And they had no problems with me helping my kids on the ice wearing shoes. Definitely recommend for regular visits or for birthday parties and whatnot. Pro tip- rent a whale for $10 for beginners.

They rent you skates that are not sharp and it will make it very hard to enjoy the experience. It would be easier if they rented you flip flops to get around the rink.

Held my daughter's birthday here with her friends and they all had a blast. Smaller than usual sized birthday rooms but fit a party of 12 including some adults just fine.

I will give it a two because of the food here, however my experience at this arena was absolutely atrocious. I would like to begin by pointing out the dreadful customer service, your employees quite literally laughed in my face after asking them for another pair of skates, so that was not enjoyable. Also the place is in the worst quality, I'm surprised the health department hasn't shut it down, from the quality of the equipment to the bathrooms it could be much better.

It's too cold for me but that hot chocolate warms me right up and let's me enjoy my time here. My son has taken learn to skate classes and ice hockey lessons, he has gotten really good. He loves to come and enjoy time with friends here. The music is really nice and everything is kept very clean. The staff is young but friendly and it warms my heart to see young kids learning responsibilities and working. Plenty of yummy treats to enjoy.

Terrible service! Staff were awful! My friend bought a seal and when she went to claim it she was not given a seal. They said she needed a receipt but they never gave her one. I bought one too and they did not ask for a receipt. They were super racist to my friend. Never coming back! Later on they took my friend’s seal once again claiming that she never paid for one. She had to pay once more for it. Such an awful experience because of the staff. Apart from the staff it was awful.

Summary - I had a fall and lost conscious and the employees never helped me get up from the ice, my dad running with regular shoes got me first than any employee, and the worker that went to me only wanted my wife to fill out paper work and started yelling because everyone was focused on me being ok and conscious and not answering her questions, and the manager blames it all on my family crying and freaking out, when before anybody got to me they had more than enough time fore at least 1 employee help me get and up remove me from the ice but they didn't my dad and my friend got to me first and carried me and that's why the employees couldn't do anything and that the paper work is protocol, I guess these days paper comes first than normal human emotions Let me start off by saying I have been going here since I was 9 and now I'm 21, I have always loved ice skating with friends and never had a bad fall or anybody close to me fall, and when we have had simple falls the employees would react very fast and help you out. I had not gone in 6 months and I decided to go with a friends and family, and after they clean the ice instantly they send us back on the ice and I loose my balance going very slow and when I hit the ice it was so wet my hands slip and I land with my face and this is were everything changed, those employees that would always be there to help you were nowhere to be found, I fell and my dad in the other side of the ice without skates runs through the ice in shoes falling 4 times and picks me off the ice because I had lost conscious and I was just laying there, he picks me up before any employee is even in the area, my wife, mother, friends get to me without skates all walking at the risk of falling to help my dad carry me to a seat because non of the horrible employees were there to help my dad and after 10 minutes when I finally became conscious there was one young lady there in my face asking my wife questions so she could have a record of what was happening when the only thing that my wife cared about was making sure i was ok. the lady was so unprofessional screaming at all of us to answer questions that it got to the point that my dad had get on the way of me and the women because the only thing she cared about was 2 things making my wife answer stupid questions and meeee someone that was barely conscious taking off my ice skates, and when i did take it off she yells at my mom to give her the skates in her hands and when you think your done for the day with horrible employees and your going to hospital the women runs outside while they are putting me in an ambulance so my wife can show her the video of how the fall happened, because " SHE HAS TO SEE THE VIDEO". So I take my time to recover and called 1 week later the manager of the place to tell them how bad me and my family were treated about his employee and the manager thought it would be a good idea to excuse his horrible untrained employees by blaming my family for crying and causing a scene so it made it hard for them, so i tell him that how would he react if he sees his son/daughter fall unconscious and nobody that worked cared enough to help them get up or simply make sure others don't hit them or run over their hand ands i tell him how is it that a 40 year old ma being my dad get to me faster with no skates just regular shoes falling 4 times and gets me up, before any employee of his approaches me. This place is very very bad staffed or short staff I don't know and truly I don't care, it is very sad to see how families life can get ruined because of employees not knowing how to handle situations better, and all the questions and paper work the lady was writing he said that's protocol. I cant believe a place can put protocol first than being humans.

The bathrooms need Lot of attention. Half the stalls aren't working and the ones that are looking broken. Aside from that it's an ice skating ring. I do like that they had the little plastic seals for rent for the younger kids.

The Pro Shop was a great experience. Randy has worked with me to make my return to skating enjoyable. His knowledge and experience is unmatched. He was dedicated to put me in a skate that was right for me and get the fit I needed. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

One of the coolest places to go to here in the area. Ice skating is fun. Great for celebrating birthdays or just to hang out with family and friends.

Bring a jacket, it's colder than you think it is. Fun spot, especially on those hot South Florida days.

My family always has a great time when we go! I really like how the food and drinks aren’t outrageously priced and there always seems to be a Groupon available. 😉 The skates could be better, sharper, less grimy and stinky but that’s pretty much any type of place you rent shoes from I guess. The staff is like an even 50/50 nice/rude. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Regardless, we’ll be returning cause it’s worth it!

Super fun! The best place to go skating. You can do your private birthday party. Good place to enjoy.

I go to the rink with my kids. We like it. The morning sessions on the weekends are better than the afternoon ones because they are less crowded. The entry and rental prices are pretty fair. However, they don't have enough skates for toddlers (size 8). One time, we got the broken ones, and they said they didn't have another pair. They really should update their skates inventory. Other than that, it's a pretty good place to go ice-skating. We still like going there.

This arena is a great place for birthdays, and enjoy a blast time with the family. The place is located in a nice safe area, inside everything was clean, the skate on a great condition and the arena good taking care of. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Great team work and excellent service. Thanks for providing us with a great time. Until next time. Make sure to bring your jacket, even if you are not skating, because it's pretty cold.

Kids friendly, professional staff on site ready to help. Good time to spend with family. Make sure you dress with winter clothes if you’re not skating.

I had my daughters birthday party here, the kids loved it, not a good service though maybe they have too many stands and not enough hostesses.

Loved coming here! We had a blast during public session and loved how they turn off the lights and play music. The staff is super friendly and made us feel welcome. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for something fun to do during the week or on the weekend!

My boyfriend and I loved this place. We came for Valentine’s Day and had a great time. If you’re looking for a good time to skate the best is Monday - Friday morning time. It’s almost always empty so it’s a great time to practice solo.

Really disappointed. I grew up here when I was younger and its gone down hill...the groups of children that go have no supervision and are disrespectful...the staff don't care ..they rent the seal skate helpers out to teenagers only to use them to push eachother on and race running over people. It's so out of control not even fun or enjoyable anymore 😕

Sure, there are better equipped and modern rinks in more northern states. However, considering that there are only a couple of ice rinks in the entire Miami area, this one is more than good. Two rinks, one for the hockey teams and the other for the regular visitors. $10 per person including skis. Same price adults and kids. $10 for ski assistant. They have the food court, but mostly sell typical junk food. The place also has 10 private party rooms right next to the rink.
