WORST
Experience
ever.
We
took
our
10-week
old
puppy
there
since
it
was
the
place
that
the
store
where
we
bought
the
puppy
from
instructed
us
to
take
the
puppy
to
if
she
gets
sick….
Once
at
Saint
Francis
Emergency
Animal
Hospital,
Amanda
at
the
reception
desk
registered
us
and
also
called
the
pet
store
owner
for
approval,
which
she
got.
By
now
21
minutes
had
gone
by.
Finally
we
were
asked
to
go
into
an
examination
room
and
waited
for
a
Veterinarian
to
see
our
10
weeks
old
puppy.
We
must
have
been
there
for
over
20
minutes
when
a
very
rude
nurse
came
in
and
without
even
saying
hello,
she
asked:
how
much
did
you
pay
for
the
puppy?
$2,200
we
replied,
why?
And
she
replied
with
a
very
combative
tone:
Well
because
if
we
take
care
of
the
puppy,
and
the
bill
goes
above
the
puppy’s
purchase
price,
you
must
pay
the
difference.
Ok,
we
understand,
but
why
are
you
being
combative,
and
why
are
you
talking
to
us
in
such
a
rude
tone.
The
puppy
is
lethargic,
non-responsive,
I
said,
can
you
have
someone
look
at
her
in
the
mean
time?
I
am
sure
that
an
examination
is
not
going
to
cost
$2,200.
So
Dr.
Steel
came
in
and
looked
at
her,
he
was
nice
and
professional,
but
my
observation
about
Dr
Steel
is
that
he
never
asked
nurse
Alex
to
change
her
rude
behavior
and
be
respectful.
Maybe
She
is
the
boss…
Dr
steel
recommended
leaving
the
puppy
overnight,
to
which
we
agreed,
and
then
he
left
the
examination
room.
Then
nurse
Alex
started
preparing
an
estimate,
which
took
her
another
18
minutes
to
prepare,
(I
am
not
exaggerating),
and
after
she
was
done
with
the
estimate
she
waited
for
the
vet
to
come
in
and
check
the
estimate,
just
in
case
she
forgot
something,
all
the
while
the
puppy
is
in
my
wife’s
arms
getting
worse
and
worse.
I
told
her
that
we
just
lost
our
dog
about
3
weeks
ago,
and
this
new
puppy
looks
in
very
bad
shape,
could
you
please
have
the
vet
attend
to
the
puppy
while
you
are
preparing
the
estimate?
No
way…
She
refused
and
said
that
they
will
not
do
anything
else
until
she
is
done
with
the
estimate
and
only
after
we
agree
and
sign
said
estimate.
Again,
I
asked
her
why
is
she
being
so
combative
and
rude,
since
we
are
not
being
rude
and
we
are
not
fighting
with
you?
Have
we
done
anything
wrong?
She
did
not
respond.
I
begged
her
to
have
the
vet
start
treating
her.
I
even
asked
her:
how
much
could
it
cost
if
she
were
to
stay
a
night
or
2?
and
she
said
that
it
could
easily
be
about
$500,
maybe
even
up
to
$1,000
if
the
puppy
were
to
stay
3
nights,
to
which
I
said
that
it
would
still
be
less
than
the
$2,200
we
paid,
but
she
would
not
budge.
In
the
mean
time
the
puppy
is
getting
worse,
almost
non-responsive,
my
wife
is
crying,
and
nurse
Alex
is
just
worried
about
getting
an
estimate
signed.
We
felt
hopeless
and
we
stuck
there,
since
I
did
not
want
to
risk
taking
the
puppy
somewhere
else
in
such
a
bad
condition…
Finally,
they
took
her
in
53
minutes
after
we
arrived,
and
remember,
this
is
supposed
to
be
an
emergency
hospital.
By
far,
this
is
the
WORST
experience
ever,
thanks
to
a
very
bad
and
rotten
apple
there
by
the
name
of
Alex
!
