I wish these reviews were present before my daughter and I signed up. To help her jump start her fitness journey my daughter also signed up to the personal training. Horrible horrible horrible decision. She could not get out of the contract. She gave notice, but some how it wasn’t 10 days. Somehow she received training they claim was not paid for so we had to freeze the account and pay the past due. Then she is told to call and cancel 10 or more days prior to the freeze ends and she is then told she has to pay another round before it can be canceled. Thankfully I (her mother) was able to intervene and stop the predatory behavior. They are taking advantage of consumers using legal jargon in the contract. Everyone that experience this behavior should be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau or other consumer protection agency. I still have the membership because we’ve paid the annual dues but this place is horrible. The manager Mark is just passive aggressive and rude.

I have never had so many issues with a gym before. Do not sign up for their personal training. It is such a rip off and you have 10 days to cancel before they recharge or they refuse to refund you your money. There is a $10 fee to cancel your gym membership and extra even for only being a member 1 month. Read the fine print

Attention general manager!!! Today I brought to one of your managers attention the need to maintain and clean the woman’s bathroom more often. His reply “ both of my cleaning guys are male and I would have to close the woman’s bathroom more often”. Please hire a female if you must but the woman’s bathroom is always dirty and lacks toilet paper on most occasions. I also mentioned a interaction between trainers . One trainer was measuring his client when another interrupted to write him up about not wearing his uniform. Seriously??? How unprofessional is that?? The guy was doing his job. I honestly couldn’t care less if my trainer shows up in his black uniform, a yellow tank top or a bathing suit . Lets focus our priorities where they need to be focused on . 1- Gym cleanliness , 2- functionality of all equipment.

I seriously don’t know we’re these negatives reviews come from, but this gym just opened today and I must say that I am very impressed. From the moment you walk in the energy from the staff and the atmosphere of the gym is great, this gym layout is great with a lot of machines, benches, and free weights. Dumbbell that goes all the way up 115, out off all these things the one thing that I value the most in a gym is organization they do this well by really enforcing RERACKING your weights after each use, That is the reason why I left my last gym because it was a mess weights all over the place . BIG PLUS TEAM. 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

New gym, new machines, seemed great. But.. as many prior reviews state, the gym is way overcrowded. Have went several times and could not do my routine. More overcrowded than any gym have ever been to. The problem is that the SPACE is too small for this gym. I will be leaving. Not standing in line or waiting for the 3 people hanging out together at each machine to finish talking on the machine. I like music but the overhead music cancels my Beats headphones!! Never had this happen. You can not have a functional workout in these overcrowded conditions. I see people parking on the west side of Publix and walking across the parking lot to go to the gym because like the SPACE, the parking area is too small for everything in the plaza.

I have a membership. I have been to a Crunch facility. I am interested on how this West Pembroke Pines Gym has such great reviews? I took a trip out there to workout and the gym has no machines and is under construction.

This is a completely honest review from a resident located in West Pembroke pines, in this area we obviously have a lack of gyms, after a lot of research Planet fitness was pretty much the only option that was decent. Finally, I found out Crunch fitness was gonna open in the area and I decided to get their cyber sale for $1 to join once they were open. Fast forward to their block party/inauguration event before opening, I came to pick up my tag with my significant other ( mind you I am paying for the peak results to be able to being a guest as well as other guest privileges.) we had a staff member that was too “sales talk” for my taste, trying to sell her a membership knowing she was the reason why I was paying their top tier membership, then they were also offering a $10 personal training session which they were really trying to push and I understand but the personal trainer that was assigned to talk to us once I responded I needed to think about it did not have the best attitude. Then came the opening day, this might be of course because of the hype of the gym just opening but I hope it dies down, you will find no parking at any moment of the day, I have tried in the morning, afternoon and evening and it’s pretty much impossible. I really do hope this is not another planet fitness were its extremely overcrowded. The equipment and facility are incredible, I love that I saw machines I have never seen before and the space is really clean. Once again on this day I had the same staff member try to upsell me with “ sales talk” and this point I was getting frustrated. So far I have not bee able to experience this trial month at its most, but hopefully this is not yet another over crowded West pembroke gym… so far it has been but I hope the hype dies down. The positive part of this is PF is not as crowded as before. I will update this

It’s so close to home, I can walk, but don’t because it’s a bit dangerous crossing Pines Boulevard. I was there day one. Was excited and liked the appearance. After using the gym, not so much. I feel their layout just doesn’t work for me. A lot of wasted space on areas that could be moved elsewhere. Center gym is not great. No mirrors. They hold events that I’m just not interested and hate all the commotion. It’s a gym, not a hangout. If that’s how they want to run it, fine. There are those who love socializing at gyms. I’m not that guy. Anyway, I had to stop working out due to illness. Lost 35 pounds and needed to get my gains back. Upon returning many months later, this place is too packed. I don’t see how other businesses tolerate all the taken parking spaces. I get there 4:45 a.m. and when the doors open, the lot is full of cars. Inside I can’t get a proper workout since it’s too crowded. I will not change my schedule either. I work out first thing in the morning. After a week of my return, I have cancelled and will return to my old gym where I get a huge sweat on and leave pumped. Unfortunate that this place isn’t for me.

Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT Sign up for this predatory gym, they don’t tell you that you are signing up for a minimum of three months , and you can’t cancel before that AND you have to pay the annual fee even if you do cancel !! - Why ?!! This next part should have been the biggest red flag, but I was naïve… they get you to give your BANK ROUTING Number ! - NEVER EVER give your routing number to them ! They refuse to let me cancel unless I physically come into the gym - I don’t have the time to waste to physically come into the gym just to sign a paper that could easily be emailed or sent via certified mail . Their billing process is predatory beyond all means , it tried to pull out a payment several times in one day , which will overdraw your account, and results in a $29 NSF fee on your card or account - it did this every single time i got charged for personal training and for regular gym fees , thus completely screwing up my bank account . If I could give zero stars I would. Everything was literally great until I needed to cancel my membership because I will be moving soon , and I found out the hard way that they left out important information when I signed up . This is a lesson I will never forget.

Be very careful, we hire a coach, they tell you if you cancel before 2 months Perfect. they will not charge you more. LIE. WE STARTED ON September 28 and I notified October 22, the coach tells me I am sending you to sign something online, he never sends me anything. I was able to go to sign yesterday November 21 and after you sign they have already charged me and they charge again for 1 month. since they charged me on the 19th and now they made me sign and they will charge again on December 02. and that month they don't give you the 16 classes that that payment brings SO BE VERY CAREFUL

This is the worst customer service I have been ever experienced. Front desk manager rude and asked me to leave the gym. I have a premier membership in gym and I had few month free with. Mangers card. He said I can’t work out there. Front desk person Stephen cartolano can’t be in his position. He lacks customer service and he laughed ant me and disrespected me infront of my son for no reason . This person needs a better judgment and can let handle his position or do customer service period. I am very offended and I definitely don’t want work out there anymore. Don’t go there gym didn’t even look nice to start with

I like this gym a lot, it’s fairly clean. I wish the sauna had an etiquette sign inside of it. People frequently have loud and vulgar conversations on the phone or use their phone without headphones to play videos or music in a small place with others that’s supposed to be the most peaceful.. Edit: please put a sign up in the sauna for etiquette! Everyday people will talk on speaker phone, it’s really disrespectful for people trying to fit a moment of relaxation into their day. Begging you guys , and knocking my review down to 1 star

I have been a member of Crunch West Pembroke for the past few months and I am very pleased with the trainers and the equipment. The trainers are very knowledgeable and helpful, always ready to help me with my goals and give great advice. However, I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the management at the gym. During my time there, I have been subject to unprofessional behavior from the management. On one occasion, I had booked a session with my personal trainer, but the manager came in and took him away from my session. This not only disrupted my workout, but it was clear to me that the manager was not respecting my time or the trainer’s. I believe that the trainers are doing a great job at Crunch West Pembroke, but the management needs to improve its professionalism and respect for members and trainers. I hope that the management takes my comments into consideration and takes steps to improve the overall experience for everyone at the gym.

Nice Gym: scummy and predatory membership practices. Purchased a membership in December. Shipped to Basic Military Training in January. Forgot to cancel my membership, continued to get charged. Called in March. "Write email to get it cancelled." 2 weeks later, get charged for membership in April. "Now you need to send a letter with your signature to cancel." Let me speak to your manager. Manager is magically busy all day, "we'll call you back today." No phone call received. They will fight tooth and nail to continue scamming you out of your money. Appalled with their lack of customer service and how they treat active military. Currently voiding the membership charges with my bank, will never do business here again. Don't care what their fine print says. What kind of gym charges you $100+ when I haven't been there in over 3 months?

I honestly don't know how there are month older reviews since the gym just opened less than a week ago. Very good gym! Very clean, the staff is very helpful. For less than $10 a month you get access to the gym and even includes a sauna!! It's a welcome addition to the west Pembroke Pines area. The sauna won me over from the Planet Fitness that is nearby. I'm always looking forward to my next workout.

Crunch Fitness is a fantastic gym for those looking for a wide range of equipment and group classes. The facilities are well-maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. However, be prepared for the gym to be packed around 6pm as it's a popular time for many people to work out after work. Despite the crowds, the energy is high and it's a great place to get a challenging workout in. Whether you're a seasoned gym-goer or a newcomer, Crunch Fitness has something to offer. With its great selection of equipment and lively atmosphere, you're sure to enjoy your time there.

Beware of the "rest of the month free" sign ups. I decided to try it out and signed up but couldn't make it in unfortunately. Then my job offered us 6 months free at another gym. I walked in after 1 week to cancel and was told it was a "90 day commitment" that was not mentioned at the time of sign up. Now they want to charge 3 months plus a fee. When I requested to speak to upper management. You're told there is no one. They only offer an address only and no resolution. Great way to do business! Fortunately I work at the largest apartment community in South Florida right across i75, I will get the word out not to patronize this gym. Word of mouth is everything. I went by on lunch break and after work. It was so crowded people were bumping into each other. There is no parking and terrible customer service! They seem to be very money hungry. I hate it for anyone who tries to cancel.

The parking here is atrocious. Other parts of the shopping center are under construction so there aren’t many spaces available. The gym is organized and clean for now since it’s relatively new. My main complaint however is there are no noon or mid-day classes. Given how many retirees and remote workers there are, I’ve been disappointed that this gym doesn’t offer midday classes. I’ve sent messages about it and never received a response. Weird since over the summer when we were waiting for the gym to open they replied to messages all the time.

Great gym with the necessary equipment you expect to find. There is a sauna in the locker room and enough showers to not have to wait. The only downside is the amount of people that go here. I tend to go in the AM, from 5-6 and it is full. Same scenario whenever I have gone after work at 4:30.

Doesn’t treat loyal members fairly! There’s always a “new” or “updated” policy. The tall , African American male at the receptionist counter is a jerk. There are other locations better than this one.

Crunch Fitness - West Pembroke has been a godsend during this pandemic! The staff is friendly and responsive. The equipment and space is great. This is the perfect place to come and get a great workout in to distress from the day.

Amazing and affordable place to work out! The peak membership is worth every dollar. The classes are my preference. I LOVE the HIIT, Zumba, Yoga, and Strength Training classes!!! Every coach is amazing, and every activity is a WORK OUT! I also love the MUSIC (LIT SONGS EVERY DAY AND EVERY MINUTE LOL)! Plus, the sauna and showers are awesome! Pretty much every aspect is awesome. Highly recommend, and I’ve had other memberships like Plant Fitness and Orange Theory before. To me, Crunch Fitness is an AFFORDABLE AND EFFECTIVE gym membership program!!!

I go to this gym often and I love it here. One of the most advanced Crunch Fitness I’ve seen. Very spacious and a lot of machines. The crew at this Crunch Fitness is also one of the best I’ve encountered.

This gym is amazing, it has great members that will help you achieve your fitness goals, and good equipment that are sanitized. Would definitely recommend this gym to others.

  • 5/5 Raymond D. 6 months ago on Google
There is plenty of room. Many choices of different machines, separate weight room. I left around 630 p.m., and there was a clean team member doing a deep down cleaning of every machine. I never saw that. I wonder if my home Crunch does that.
