Went to Sunday lunch at recently re-launched Pickfords restaurant at Beach House Hotel. Good quality and value 1-3 course Sunday Lunch menu, with choice of vegetarian and Gluten Free options too. Extra star for also being dog friendly to eat inside bar area if you book ahead. Also dog friendly outside on large decking area if weather good enough

Sadly not as good as expected. We stayed there 10 years ago and it was a stunning little boutique B&B so on a return visit to the area we opted to stay again. It hasn't really been well looked after in the 10 years and now is a little shabby and unloved but still boutique B&B prices! Our room was in need of a lot of attention in the decor department with peeling wallpaper, badly fitted carpets and dodgy electrics. On the positive side the staff were very attentive and friendly. I do hope they revamp as it could be a little gold mine as it is in a fantastic location with beautiful views of the esplanade and sea.

The owner and location amazing... but the hotel itself needs alot of attention. The room I stayed in was basic! If you love spiders and cobwebs, you would feel very at home! The bedside lamps did not work, the shower was an accident waiting to happen, very slippery then water flooded all over bathroom floor. I had no bottom sheet on my bed, just mattress protector. The main lighting and wires held to gather by tape.. The doors to the bathroom didn't shut properly. The noise also wasn't great as the rooms location was next to the cafe area, you could listen to all conversation! The breakfast not bad, but had to wipe the dust out of the breakfast bowls and coffee cups first! It's such a shame as location was amazing!

Well I don't like leaving bad reviews but it's only fair for other people visiting this hotel. Firstly staff were very friendly. Atmosphere was amazing so was the view. Bad points. Parking a nightmare. Room was not ready and then not cleaned properly. No restaurant as part of the hotel. Wifi would not connect. Website states full breakfast and they don't do cooked breakfasts. The bar was not open of an evening to get a drink. Not the hotels fault but to get anywhere i.e. Pub or restaurants or shops you need to get taxi.

Enjoyed stay. New owners getting there, but very expensive for decor and amenities. Then cooked breakfast is on top. Continental breakfast is not cerial with milk and tea/coffee. Made well come though!

Lovely hotel over looking the river Severn, the staff are welcoming and we even got offered a lift to the station from the owner. We stayed here as was far cheaper than Cardiff with Ed Sheeran in concert on and only a 15 minute train trip to the city centre. Yes we would definitely stay here again.

Had breakfast recently at Pickford's Restaurant at Beach House Hotel - looks like it's under new ownership, as the service was excellent, restaurant had been recently refurbished and food was plentiful and good value. Would recommend.
