The place is beautiful and the food is delicious, so no complaints about that. I just give 1 star to pay attention to the pricing policy. I was having lunch with local Indonesian friend and when we asked for a bill we were charged around 130k instead of 90k. We asked, why the price is higher than the price on the menu? The waitress responded, that the price is different for foreigners. So it seems she charged my local friend more only because my friend was together with me and did not even apologise. After some discussion my friend got 10k refund but 6k were still missing. Also how can we know that the waitress is not stealing money from the restaurant? It's not a big amount, but I think she should inform that the prices are different for foreigners, and she shouldn't charge local people more. She knew that my friend is local, so it cannot be a mistake.

Hidden gem of sea food restaurants in Sanur, Bali. This seafood restaurant sells a great crabs menu. Then, they also sell others menu such as shrimps, fish, squids, etc. The taste is great and the price is affordable. If you love seafood, this restaurant is really recommend for you.

it's a good idea to take a walk in the bamboo forest , don't give up yet before you found the walking path into the forest. (they need better information about direction for tourists) maybe i'd give it 3.5 stars because nothing really you can do here beside take a walk under tall bamboos. this is a part of Penglipuran village tourism area.

Cool, refreshing experience wandering amongst this "Hutan Bambu" (bamboo forest) where they conserve 14 species of bamboo. An example of a good initiative for forest management (uncommon in Indonesia), with planned and controlled harvest and replanting which ensures continuation of this beautiful unique 'forest' Is it a forest if there are no trees? (Bamboo is a grass, afterall 😜) In the surrounding Penglipuran village, you can see how some of these super grasses are harvested and used as traditional building material (like specialized roof shingles)!

Cool, enormous bamboo forest, about 45 hectare to explore. Not crowded, no entry fee. I guess you could walk there all day.

The Unplanned stop was incredible at this Baboo cafe. I was thrilled to discover their entrance, café in the middle of huge bamboo forest. Sitting on the wooded table balinese style sipping a citronella cold tea, a well deserved stop.

What a great place! Almost no tourists (high season), lots of nice local that are willing to show you their village for a small donation. Also beautiful bamboo forest steps away for there.

Hidden gem near the Panglipuran village just inside the bamboo forest. Perfect moment to visit is early in the morning. Beside good food and coffee, this cafe also has a flower garden. My fave food is Nasi goreng Bali.

It was quite an exciting experience for me, because I had to explore the bamboo forest first to get to the cafe. The atmosphere of the bamboo forest is very shady, it's similar to Arashiyama in Japan hihi. The place is still in the same area as Penglipuran village, the tip for getting here is to just tell the pecalang/guard if you want to go to the bamboo cafe. The cafe is quite spacious, with enough space to accommodate tourists. The food is delicious, 8/10✨️ unfortunately I forgot to take a photo. Spaghetti carbonaranyq is super delicious, light and doesn't make you tired. The fried bananas are also delicious, served warm and the portions are quite large. Unfortunately when I visited it was quite busy, so the food took a while to arrive, but not even 1 hour. The service provided was also good, even though one item had not been delivered, the employees were immediately quick to find a solution. They say that every Saturday there is a traditional market behind the cafe. Too bad I came on Friday huhuhu 😔 Next time I will come here to try the traditional market. Overall it's worth coming in, such a good cafe.
