Happened to visit welcome heritage Denzong regency with family in Gangtok after reading good reviews. However this was so embarrassing to note that had booked suite rooms from booking.com but provided lower category room. There is no AC provision in this hotel . You have to walk all the way to 4th floor as there is no lift in the hotel. And it was even worse because it was raining and you have to go through open stairs through rain . Worst part when trying to relax at late evening water was lavishly dripping from the ceiling on bed directly. Moreover response from booking manager lady and so called general manager was also ridiculous... Never recommended to stay in this property and clearly not more than one or two star property

Hotel Denzong residency is one of the prime properties in Gantok, every room has a valley facing balcony that offers a spectacular picture perfect view, the hotel is very well maintained, the staff is quite welcoming, had a superb experience staying here

It was a beautiful place with a beautiful view. The staff is really nice and the services were top notch. The buffet was excellent and the amenities I was provided with was a surprise, in a good way. Really recommend you guys to visit this place once with your family or friends.

Worst holiday experience! We had the most disappointing experience with Denzong regency recently. Our flight to Bagdodra got canceled unexpectedly and there was no way we could have made it to the hotel. We had paid a large amount of roughly INR 20000 to the hotel already. We requested the hotel for some of this to be refunded. Given all the hotel reviews and the unforeseen situation we were in, we expected some understanding from the hotel staff. We had hoped they would refund us some of the unused money. But they gave us nothing back. Neither were they open to other alternatives, such as us gifting the days we didn’t use to someone for future use. There were extra rooms available in the hotel until the end. We had booked our room just days before this experience, so it wasn’t like we had reserved the room for an extended period before asking for a refund. INR 20000 is a large amount of money of which we used ZERO. This complete lack of understanding from the hotel staff was a huge let-down. Terrible experience.

I stayed at the Denzong Regency for two nights and I was very impressed by their service. The staff was courteous and helpful, the room was spacious and clean, and the view of the mountains was breathtaking. The breakfast buffet had a variety of dishes, both local and continental, and the quality was excellent. The hotel also arranged a sightseeing tour for me, which was very convenient and informative. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Gangtok.

Discourteous and unaccomodating towards the locals. This is for the restaurant area, not the casino or the rooms. The manager showed a lack of hospitality and respect when we went there to enquire about venue booking. He was impolite, argumentative and ungracious with superior talks of how the area is permissible only for "expensive destination weddings" and not for small functions of the locals. We understand that a casino has been added and rooms have been extended, but till very recently, several events have been ongoing at the very spot we enquired about. He said the restaurant is off limits and we could use the basement and the veranda if we pleased. Quite the contrary, the staff at Mayfair were extremely polite and civil in their dealing. They offered to reserve the entire space. This rude behaviour of Denzong Regency's manager has been registered and will make sure we never visit or recommend this inaccessible property to any Sikkimese again. They seem to be entertaining only outsiders.

Had a beautiful time with friends at Denzong Regency. The view from the hotel is absolutely glorious. Loved how the hotel is beautifully made. Food was awesome. Service needs to improve as it was very slow. Shouldn't be a case of us calling the Service team throughout. Overall a great place to be.

Not a 5 star property, booked it after reading good reviews on Google. Not a family friendly property, if you are going with children please avoid this place. Staff is always busy in themselves. No one was there to greet us when we checked in, a porter was sitting on the reception.

I had a great experience with the Denzong Regency, staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The location was prime, of stunning views of the city and mountains and the hotel is well-appointed, spacious, and well-maintained, complete with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable breakfast, lunch, dinner and perfect to celebrate a birthday or weekend or party. HR Mam is incredible, She is very hardworking, kind and helpful with good management skill, which help enhances the quality of this hotel.

I wonder why there are so many 5 Star reviews. Rooms are old, dirty (look under beds), carpets are never vacuumed, food is mediocre, bathroom has mold, service is terrible. The hotel is overpriced. All our family members got sick because of allergies from dust and mold.

Hotel Denzong Regency in Gangtok, is undoubtedly an excellent place to stay. We stayed there from (4-7Jan'23). Hotel is located at an absolutely beautiful location with breathtaking view. What makes this place the best in the league is the unmatched services of the staff here. The staff is well-mannered, polite, friendly, cooperative and very beautiful at heart. Loved everything about the hotel. Would always recommend this place👍👍👍

Good resort in downtown Gangtok near mg marg . Stayed in a club room with mountain view ... All rooms have balconies with excellent view of the valley/mountain . Good responsive staff and good food .

The property is beautiful. The interior of the hotel is lavishing. The staff is very gentle and polite. The rooms are spacious and have an gallery with an table and two chairs for enjoying the peaceful view over a cup of tea or coffee. The gallery provides a lovely view of mountains and the helicopter for activity rides can be seen. The food is superb. Mg market is just an km or meters away from the hotel.

An excellent hotel with an amazing view of the valley. I don't think there is any other property which can give this view in the day nor in the night. They also have the best casino in Gangtok and so in night time there is a lot of visitors since they share the same compound. It's in the heart of the city and close proximity to all other hotels like Wyndham and all. The lounge is good and have a good array of cocktail and their local drink made from millet. The hotel also helped in getting taxis to go to various places and the pass for nathula. Breakfast has a good array of buffet dishes and the chef's are keen to make whatever you want. They are really good at making continental dishes - pasta is a good try and so is some of the other dishes.

We stayed at this Hotel in the month of March 2022 At the time of checking in the staff offered us Tea as a welcome drink around 2 pm . We asked them , can lemon drink be provided as we had nausea after the travel . Immediately the front desk staff said , you will be charged We told them don’t want anything for free We asked them for a salt lemon soda to be brought to room . They did not charge though , but it was too salty that we couldn’t drink Again we asked them to bring sweet lemon drink , in that also they had put salt . Don’t understand how they don’t know to make a simple drink The food was average . Overall a not feel good attitude of the people managing the Hotel Please improve
