Wow, this is truly excellent food! Top 2 best restaurants in the area Penn Hills/Monroeville, maybe the best. If you are anywhere near it, come to Fun Asian Bistro! I was very pleasantly surprised with the prices, flavors, and portions. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls, a Philadelphia roll, and a Pittsburgh roll. My favorite roll is definitely the Pittsburgh roll. It is huge, heavy, and delicious! The sauce is somewhat sweet, but it complements the savoriness of the sushi perfectly. All the rolls were rolled expertly and came with 8 pieces. The Pittsburgh roll had a tasty, crispy breading. It is packed with deliciousness, and you can clearly taste the crab. It costs $11.50 here, but similar rolls cost about $16 elsewhere so it's a great deal! The Philadelphia roll was quite good as well. It had plenty of cream cheese, which tasted fresh. The avocado was extremely fresh as well, and it was cut uniformly! The salmon itself was amazing. Super tender, smoky, and all around delicious. Spring rolls were tasty and pretty cheap. You get 2 for $4. It's packed with vegetables and thin noodles. The outer shell is a bit thicker than the typical spring roll, but it's still crispy. The sauce has a good balance of spice and sweetness. Overall, I can't wait to return to the Fun Asian Bistro. The staff seemed friendly, the food is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable! Just be warned that the road to the restaurant has a few potholes (that's the only issue! Other than that, AMAZING and I will come back for more sushi and teriyaki!)

The food was horrible. I was a regular customer. I could count on the fresh food and overall presentation of the food was impressive. Today we ordered. The food was horrible.' Slippery egg roll with a gummy salty taste, chicken smothered in salt that smelled so bad the dog did not want it and the brown edges around the avocado was icing on the cake. A total waste of $60.00. Horrid. Once they were consistent our go even if we did not have a taste for asian food. Now we know they are inconsistent and have to save foods from days earlier. At their price point the food should be better.

This is the best kept secret in Penn Hills. If you want great sushi, tai or Asian food that is not drowning in sauce this is the place to go. The outside always appears to look like it is closed but go and open the door to find a wonderful clean atmosphere. This place is like eating at a farm to table for Asian cuisine.

Love it here! Always order take out and they prepare it so quick! The only suggestion i have is to allow a substitution of the spring roll instead of soup when it’s included in your meal, since the price is the same. But they don’t let you. The edamame is always steamed perfectly, not over or under done. The lunch special is a great deal and overall the prices are very fair. Love it here! It’s also nice for a sit down dinner! Great food and great service. Will be back!

I love Fun Asian and the food has always been great, but almost every time I’ve ordered sushi, I get sick to some degree. 😔 It’s a shame because I truly enjoy their food but I don’t frequent establishment as often now. Order cooked sushi just this past Friday and I’ve been sick all weekend. 😩 It breaks my heart!

Might be the best sushi spot I’ve ever visited. Have never had salmon melt in my mouth like it does here. Would definitely recommend to a friend!

Great Little Sushi Restaurant in Penn Hills, Pa. This is my 3rd time ordering/eating at Fun Asian Bistro and the food was excellent. The menu has a nice variety of rolls, sushi and sashimi. Dont forget to try the Pineapple Fried Rice and General Tsos Chicken from the main menu, you wont be disappointed!!!

New renovations look great! Love their sushi, best in Penn Hills (that I’ve found).

Ordered a spicy tuna and spicy crab crunch rolls, but recieved regular spicy rolls. Ordered through uber eats so going back to the restaurant wasn't an option. The tempura roll was good though. The Thai iced tea taste so bad. It smells and taste like a protein shake. Took one sip and dumped the whole drink. Very gritty and couldn't get past the protein shake smell. Likely would not order from here again.

Absolutely amazing!!! We dined in for the first time. Service was the most pleasurable experience. The sushi is honestly the best in Pittsburgh and I have tried many places. If you are in the area you will not regret a visit here for sure. Our photo doesn’t even give it justice. It was so delicious!!

I've never had anything less than an excellent experience here. The food is great, and the presentation and atmosphere are top-notch. If you haven't been here yet, definitely check them out. If you have been here, you know what I mean!
