These guys deserve an award. You'd think there's only so much you can do with bubble tea but this establishment has taken a simple drink to the next level. I came around closing time so they were out of their special brown sugar pearls that I've heard so many good things about. I settled for the taro and pudding milk tea instead. I was going to add jelly to it like I normally do (which would have had an extra cost) but the server actually advised me against it because the pudding already added a similar texture. To me, that shows they cares about what they sell over a small add on bonus. The pudding with the taro was bliss. I wasn't expecting there to be real pudding in the drink but there was. It was an amazing combination that had the perfect balance of texture and sweetness. Each of their flavours seems to have a creative twist and something to make it more elegant. I love the ambience of this place and the service is great too. The sitting area is a tad small but you're close to the beach so it's all good. Is recommend this as a solid bubble tea place to try.

The Lindt white matcha frothy was exceptional, the texture was creamy because of the white chocolate with matcha and the cap on top. The brown sugar pearl latte was acceptable but wasn’t the best I’ve had. The roasted oolong milk tea had a strong oolong tea taste, however, it didn’t blend with the milk powder as it was two separate flavours when you drink from it. Also, the pearls were tough not as chewy. But for the price I paid, it delivered a decent performance.

First time here so we always test the water with 2 drinks: the classic milk tea (triple play holy trifecta: pearls, pudding, grass jelly) and the more hardcore tea iron goddess roasted oolong with cream foam and pearls, zero sugar. The 🧋 went down smooth, the pearls were perfectly QQ, and the pudding was soft and luscious. The iron goddess was totally prime - full bodied and went down smooth - I don’t expect to sleep for 12 hours with this one 😂. Don’t hesitate, go have a date with Mr. Chu!

Went in very skeptical, since I’m not the biggest fan of bubble tea. However, the taro bubble tea here was very tasty indeed. Grabbing a tea and go to the nearby beach makes for a great afternoon.

We ordered 3 mango slush less sugar with pearls and coconut jelly and oolong roasted milk tea with pearls full sugar. Everyone loved their drinks as sugar level was correct and not too sweet. The pearls and coconut jelly were fresh and soft as we have to say that it’s one of the best places we’ve tried and we’ve been to a lot of place as we are bubble tea addicts! Even has fresh mango which is great that they have fresh ingredients that are used. Everyone will be coming back to try something again!

Hands down my favourite bubble tea place in Metro Vancouver. They are most known for their brown sugar drink, which they use lactose-free milk for (super brownie points). Passion pine tea is one of my go tos, but I've never had a drink that I did not like. Owner Bill is very friendly. It does get busy though and sometimes they run out of the brown sugar pearls. You can call and order ahead of time! Seating area is nice to chill at when open.

I live just up the street and frequent Mr. Chu’s almost weekly. Their matcha lindt frothy and their brown sugar milk tea w/ pearls is FANTASTIC! as well, don’t sleep on the food! their clubhouse sandwich is incredible. I am so grateful to have this lovely shop in my neighbourhood.

Absolutely love this place! I go to Emilio Finatti for pizza and while I’m waiting to pick that up, I come here mostly for tarp slush and at times I’ve tried their fruit teas as well. In this picture, it’s taro slush and purple haze coffee. Highly recommend!!! 👌🏾😇☺️

The boba here is nice and sweet. The fresh taro is great! You can definitely tell that it’s not powder and actually a fruit when drinking it. My god brother got a pink tropical drink (not a slush) and it was too tangy and way to sweet so maybe consider doing half sugar for your drinks. The wait was a little long, then again there was a long line to begin with. I would definitely come back here to try other things.

Yo this place is dope. Best bubble tea ever. It's the pearls though. They're perfectly chewy, have the right texture and actually taste good. Plus the brown sugar on the pearls is noticeable and comes through. Probably one of the best BBT in the lower mainland.

I found here a pretty decent variety of bubble tea. Also, they offer different levels of sugar - regular/ half/light/ no sugar. That's a good thing that makes me feel like I'm coming back😉 one star down because they didn't have any popping boba perls.

Best bubble team in White Rock in my opinion! Their brown sugar pearl milk latte is my favorite!! Fruit slushes are great too! Glad we have authentic Taiwanese bubble tea to enjoy 😊

My girlfriend always gets the brown sugar pearl and I always get the roasted oolong half-sweet. The brown sugar drink tastes like the Taiwanese 統一 pudding which you is very rare to find in the Lower Mainland. I think the pearls for the brown sugar one usually are a little more well made (more chewy) but I get the oolong because I can get it less sweet.

Been loving pretty much all the creations I've tried here and I appreciate how they offer oat milk even though they have the lactose-free milk since the taste of dairy can seem weird once you've gone off of it. The pearls here are always super soft and fresh, the people are very friendly and drinks are ready relatively quickly.

I've had a lot of bubble tea, especially in Vancouver, but Mr. Chu probably has some of the best bubble tea that Lower Mainland has to offer! The prices are reasonable, and the taste is phenomenal. It is a pretty small shop, so not much room to enjoy the drink or hang out inside, but it's a great drink to grab if you are walking around the beach! I highly recommend the Lindt White Chocolate Matcha Frothy :)

Cute little shop, was greeted promptly and given recommendations for drinks which was greatly appreciated for my first time there. Had the brown sugar latte with pearls and it was amazing! Pearls were soft yet the right amount of chewy and the drink was the perfect amount of sweet. Would highly recommend!

My favourite bubble tea place in the lower mainland! Always happy to grab a drink from here whenever I'm in the area. Craving something sweet for a little pick me up today and convinced my partner to come here. Ordered pearl milk tea, roasted oolong and a mango slush

Mr. Chu is by far the best in the area! Their pearls are amazing, and the best I've ever had before! And as someone who cannot tolerate regular milk, I really appreciate that they finally have oat milk and that it's a very good one too! I crave Mr. Chu all the time, which is not great for my wallet, but it's the best treat for after a long week at work :)

Friendly staff, good selection and very popular. Known more for bubble tea, but their coffee was great. Will be back again soon.

We ordered Taro Pudding and Pearl milk tea The pearl milk tea(Fresh Milk, Light sugar, no ice ) is super yummy, tea flavor is rich and boba are chewy but not hard/too soft ( lots of tea shops’ boba are hard or too soft!) However, the taro pudding is disappointing It’s not fresh taro, they use taro flavouring. That’s why it’s 4 stars. Anyway, if you are craving a good Taiwanese boba, this is definitely the best boba tea shop in Vancouver (I’ve had!)

One of the best, if not the best bubble tea shops in White Rock. Owned by a sweet couple, Mr Chu uses lactose free milk in all their drinks and won't cut corners with their high quality ingredients. We've been coming here since they opened and we'll always come back for more.
