This is a must see park!!! It has been completely remodeled and is worth the drive no matter what part of the valley you are traveling from! There are a lot of different types of sensory equipment that every kids of any age can thoroughly enjoy! Big or small, boy or girl, even the parents can find something to keep themselves busy! Beautiful pond with ducks and you can even fish all around the park! Photo opportunities are everywhere you turn in this exciting playground and park!

Newer equipment, lots of activities for littles. My almost 4yo loved the swings. The equipment was a little dirty it could use a cleaning.

Awesome park for the heat. Has a water playing area that is gated for the children. Lots of ponds with large geese and ducks. Baseball & soccer fields, community center, large pond with fishing, and a skate park. Large canopied picnic or party area with designated covered tables and grills available upon reservation. They offer a splash pad during the summer months, although it is smaller than some other parks, it is a big hit with the children. But the best part of the park is the upgraded playground. It is extensive and has a variety of age appropriate sections. Public restrooms are also on site and drinking fountains.

Easy trails for walkers, joggers, and cyclists. The trails are completely paved. The community park also features: fishing nooks, children's playground, barbeque grills, softball fields, skateboard zone, a cafe and more! The park is a great place to spend a day. 😊

My husband and I love this park. There's a great little splash pad that's toddler friendly, a cute playground, the BEST ramadas I've EVER seen, and we LOVE to fish here. We only do catch and release, because the water is treated with some crazy (but beautiful) blue chemical 😅. There's a community center, a veteran's memorial, a skate park, good walking trails, lots of great parking, and plenty of shade.

Always fun to come down (when it's not 2000 degrees) play on the volleyball courts, and remember how clean they keep the park.

This is the best park in the area. There are multiple activities you can do. They have an indoor fitness center, basketball courts, walking track and multiple fitness programs too many to mention here. Also there's outdoor kids splash park, plenty of picnic areas with barbecue pits, a newly built children's outdoor playground and some really neat climbing stuff. Much much more too numerous to mention. CLEAN, SAFE, PLENTY OF THINGS TO DO. What else would you want? Oh, I almost forgot they also have a snack bar / coffee shop. And plenty of free parking! Did I mention they also have stocked fishing ponds?

Very nice park with fishing ponds, huge playground, cover picnic tables, tennis courts, fields and lots of other recreational facilities and play areas. They don't mess around with closing time though. A guy approached my window when I was eating and watching a video on my phone to let me know that the park was closed and that they're going to close the gate. He was nice about it though.

Nice park. Fishing and bbq available. V-ball court, skate park. Huge and lots of places to run.

  • 5/5 Robert L. 3 years ago on Google
Awesome park great place to relax but they do need to do a better water park and get the dead fish out of the pond first thing in morning so people dont see the dead fish that died by being caught and hurt to badly then tossed back in !

We come here 2x a week and Love this park! My kids absolutely have the best time playing. 3 different jungle gyms for all ages to join in and play. Skate parks gyms volleyball courts and baseball fields. It's fun for all!

  • 4/5 John B. 1 year ago on Google
They did a nice job on the new playground, too bad the spinning wheel broke the first week and they have not fixed it. The splash pad worked great.

Awesome park! Great amenities and lots to do! Splash pad that is fully fenced in, lots of ramadas, a community center, skate park, sand volleyball, batting cages, ball fields, huge playground and a fishing pond. A great place to spend time with the family and get your wiggles out. Highly recommend this park!

  • 5/5 Ryan O. 1 year ago on Google
Clean, beautiful, full of features. Has a kids water splash pad, lots of ramadas available for reservation, and public grills under a large covered area. The baseball fields are well kept. There is a small coffee shop with pretty good coffee, as well as a snack bar occasionally open during peak game season near the baseball fields. Also has 3 sand volleyball courts, and a rec center with an Indoor track, basketball court, and standard well kept gym.

  • 5/5 Bob S. 3 years ago on Google
Another beautiful and safe place to walk and nicely designed. If you ride a bike though please make some noise when approaching from behind.

  • 4/5 Kevin R. 1 year ago on Google
This park is absolutely amazing! Definitely recommend it to bring you family, kids, and even your fur babies too! I love the small pond with the ducks and turtles! There's definitely a space to sit an watch the ducks underneath some nice shade. The outdoor volleyball court and skate park are pretty nice too! The park is well lit too, so even if you come in the evening there's enough light outside. Definitely recommend this park!

First visit as we were in the area. The park is very nice with lots of fun places for children to play. They have a water park area but not open until summer. Walking paths were nice, flat and clean. The rec area is fantastic for the local population. Membership required but the rates look very reasonable. Peoria is fortunate to have this lovely facility.

Rio Vista is great. Excellent for families and dates and working out. The park for kids is amazing.

  • 5/5 Cynthia 10 months ago on Google
This park is really nice. Good shade in some areas. It's clean and well maintained. The rec center is cool. I've only went in to use the bathroom and get things from the vending machine. 2 are debit/credit and the other is cash. You can refill your water bottle at the water station. Air conditioned building. The park is beautiful for taking pictures and the splash pad looks fun for the kids. Honestly this is one of the nicest parks I've been too. I enjoy going but if you like to fish and actually catch something this place isn't it.

  • 3/5 Celeste F. 1 year ago on Google
For the most part this is a great skatepark for adults and kids of all ages. The problem comes when there’s a group of kids that don’t have any care for others at the park and the park ranger won’t/can’t do anything.

  • 5/5 Kyla R. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely LOVE, LOVE this community park, but beware! So does everyone else! Always busy whenever I go . There a giant covered pavilion to multiple families to use or a giant party you're having. Enormous playground area for kids & plenty of lush green grass for kiddos to play sports or roll around. There's also a restroom next to the playground for use. Beautiful lake with ducks. Amazing walking/bike riding path for miles with desert scenery.. Plenty of parking separates the park fron the multiple fields used for city league sports. The rec center indoors has multiple activities for Peoria residents to sign up at a discount price. So much to do there that you & your family will want to spend the entire day there! I've included a photo of my daughter's sister-in-law with the amazing Arizona sunset in the background. You can see the wonderful lake & part of the walking path behind her.

This park is so cool. They have so many activities available to use. There’s a volleyball court, many baseball fields, basketball courts, a whole recreation center with a gym inside, people fish here, huge playground for the little ones, a huge eating area, and tons of parking even when it’s packed. There’s also a trail alongside the park making running and walking here much better. I highly recommend this park. It’s beautiful.

Great place to relax by the pond and do some fishing!

  • 5/5 Vin M. 3 years ago on Google
This place is amazing! I like the little river that runs through it with a waterfall and a blue heron standing at the top perched silently staring at everything that walks by. The ducks were sleeping when I came at night on the banks of the shore. I felt kind of bad when my youngest daughter ran over to say hello to them and scared them off. The playground area is really nice and well maintained. The picnic area is really nice too with barbecues all setup with sinks and prep counters.

My daughter in law reserved and paid for a picnic area for a party. Each picnic area was numbered but where names for reservations were to be, it was blank! So our space was taken and no one in office. Park was packed with no masks being worn. I won't be back.

Great park. Its very large and had so much to do. There was even a huge area with about 8 grills and tons of tables to eat at. All the equipment looked safe.

First time to the park, was empress. The staff was very friendly and appeared to truly care about the fans. It is family friendly and they have a great play area for kids.

  • 5/5 Myrtle A. 3 years ago on Google
Happy this afternoon, with lots of folks, families, and food on some of the grills. Several people on the path and trails, but not at all crowded. Nearly all with masks.

Very nice and well maintained community park. There are numerous playgrounds, a skateboard park, volleyball courts and a playground. There are also many covered picnic tables and a fishing pond. And when it reopens there is an indoor gym. Additionally there is a Veterans Memorial with a real helicopter. Really a nice park to visit.

First time coming back to this park in awhile and I love it! They did lots of awesome changes in different areas. This park is nice, quiet and super clean! Love coming here to see all the ducks swimming around and enjoy the bike trails.

Went to the park to do a little fishing and boy was I surprised at just how clean and beautiful this place is!... the water is clear And the trout had just been stocked also took a minute to visit the veteran memorial which is something I recommend everyone should do at least once This park is one of the best cleanest parks that I have come across!

Nice clean park. Nice little lake. One thing I don't understand is there are signs that say please don't feed the ducks. Why? Its a park. If they want 5 stars from me better take those signs down. Ducks have to eat too
