Just opened up, but a great hostel! Most comfortable beds I've stayed in so far in 1,5 months of travel. Very kind staff and owner, free breakfast and very easy to meet people in the common areas.

The place to stay for travelers in Penang🙌🏼

3 months backpacking through Asia and this is by far one of the best hostels I’ve stayed it. I stayed roughly a week and for a hostel that had only been open for 7 months, they were top tier. Shane and Alif are genuine and hilarious. And the volunteers during my time here… they made the stay. You get not one but TWO fluffy pillows, large lockers, a separate girls bathroom (or you can used the mixed), cold air-conditioned movie room, so many social events.

The hostel is clean and has nice facilities and friendly staff. However, there is a very loud bar on the top level that has music going until midnight as well as a nightclub nearby that goes until 4am. This ruined my experience in Penang since I was unable to sleep for more than a couple hours a night. They do give earplugs at check in but these can only do so much. In addition, music is pumped throughout the building except in the dorms, so noise sensitive people will have a hard time here.

Charged me 20 euro on checkout because the hinge on my locker broke during my stay. Staff was rude about it and suggested it was because I’m “a big guy.” Don’t charge guests for poor construction and being cheap on materials

By far one of the best hostels I have stayed in. A cozy atmosphere with friendly staff that makes you feel at home, clean and tidy, great social activities, overall perfect for a solo traveller. Highly recommend.

One of the best hostel in penang geogretown! The bed were super comfy and they provide breakfast, the coolest thing is that they have a bar on top and drinks were good with some beer pong tournament, it didn't stop there after the bar close they organize bar hopping and the staff make an effort to keep vibe up! 🎉 🎉.

This is the best place to be in Georgetown. Alif (The owner) and everyone in this place is so helpful and go out of their way to help you and give you the best time. If you are planning a visit, go ahead. The beds are spacious, rooms are clean and also the vibe is amazing. The place is secured as well. So go ahead and don't worry. It's really a place to be. Planning my next visit soon. Georgetown is love and so is this hostel.

If your looking for a place with friendly staff, people & just want to chill, dance & have fun then yes this is the place. Love the location, it's near local food stalls & walking distance to the local transport as well. Comfortable bunks love the mattress & the sheets are clean.

Clean and cozy hostel, with attention to details, it has a cinema room perfect for relaxing and a really cheap and eventful bar where you can spend the evening. Everything in the hostel is of excellent quality: beds are huge and with double pillow, there is one huge mixed bathroom but also a female bathroom with speakers and music all day long and breakfast is abundant and tasty. Perfect for enjoying GeorgeTown and making new friends!!

Our experience at EZ Social Hostel in Malaysia was quite positive. Despite arriving after check-in time, the accommodating international volunteers allowed us in. The hostel, relatively new, quickly became one of our favorites for meeting fellow travelers. A minor inconvenience was the mix-up with guests in the male dorm, leading my friend and me to bunk separately for the first night. Breakfast was satisfactory, offering decent value for the price. However, the real highlight was the bar – affordable drinks, lively games, and a vibrant crowd made it the nightly go-to spot. It's worth noting that it can get a bit loud until 12, after which the atmosphere mellows as people head to the clubs. While the hostel has some quirks like beeping doors and street noise, the exceptional staff, including a friendly and helpful manager, more than made up for it. Their welcoming attitude contributed significantly to our overall positive experience. 👍🍻 Ow and again love to the Hostel team who took me and my friend for some local lunch! Great meeting them!

Best place to stay in George Town! Location is great and it has amazing facilities, beds are so comfortable and come with a privacy curtain and the bathrooms are really clean. It’s one of the most social hostels I’ve stayed at in South East Asia with a great happy hour and the staff are amazing and take you out to bars and clubs and they organise activities during the day and at night. Big shoutout to Shane and Aliff for making the stay a great one!

Great hostel right in the heart of Chulia Street Georgetown. Location close to great restaurants and street food nearby. Aiman on checkout is extremely helpful and friendly as soon as you walk in. Make sure you take some time to speak to him he’s a legend. Shane will get the party started upstairs and take you to all the best night spots. Just don’t let him pull an Irish exit on you. Rooms are clean and doors are locked and secure at night.

The best hostel yet so far I‘ve been! Easy to make friends with the staffs and guests! The bed is the comfiest I‘ve been! The location? Say no more! It‘s in the heart of the town! Walkable to everywhere! They also make events at nights which are really fun! The room is very nice! The AC cold enough! They have water dispenser where you can refill your bottle! You can also buy drinks at the hostel bar during the day! Beers or soft drinks! The best yet so far, a lot of common areas like cinema room, bar area and smoking area where you can hangout and meet other guests!

This hostel is absolutely FABULOUS. I really like the atmosphere/ ambiance in the evenings. The guests are so diverse and the facility’s are immaculate. The staff really know how to host the guests at all times. They go out of their way to keep people happy and having fun. I love the owners especially the handsome Irish man Shane… I would eat him up like my chicken chop ❤️🫶😍

This hostel is on another level. You just notice how much passion and heart is put into it. The beds are comfortable, there's a great bar and a TV room, you make lots of new friends and activities are planned together. Do yourselves a favour and stay here, it's great.

I stayed in 2 different rooms in the female dorm on 2 seperate days. Hostel opened 2 months ago, converted from previous backpacker hostel First night - very noisy, could hardly sleep as the noise from the bar above is quite loud (will end at about 12.30am). The bed below me kept shaking and the noise from opening and closing of doors was quite disruptive to sleep too. Second night - slept well. Bed is slightly away from door so its not so noisy. Generally showers and toilets are clean. Free breakfast. They run on a volunteer system (those who "work for accomodation") which made standards of breakfast and service differ from each day. Only upset factor was one female full time staff who gave people an un-welcoming experience If you are getting a grab, do input lincoln backpacker hostel as theit name have not changed on grab yet.

Best Hostel in Penang, with a great social Vibe! Aliff is an amazing host with lots of recommendations in the area and even took us around the local night life. Theres even a movie room with nextflix! Would 100% recommend this Hostel, you will not be disappointed!

Great new hostel - really lovely staff, great common areas and social atmosphere. Includes free breakfast! Beds super comfy and decent sized lockers for each bed. Girls dorms have seperate bathroom. When people walked on the floor in the dorm, the bed shook because of the contact with the floor boards. Other than that fantastic hostel 😊 would definitely stay again!

Very nice Hostel and super friendly staff. Beautiful building located in George Town center. Most comfy beds in SE Asia so far :) Nice and clean Bathrooms, common area, bar on the the top floor.. can definitely recommend it
