Hidden gem short travels away from bustling Sunway Carnival area. Should definitely visit if around Perai / Butterworth. We were skeptical while finding the shop through dark grim stretches of old shophouses around 8:30PM weekday, and then greeted with bright green pub-vibe LED outside the dated shop building. Opening the door we immediately welcomed with very nostalgic positive vibe and coziness from a healthy family restaurant. Kids laughing and guests just enjoying, great ambience and very comfortable. 5 stars atmosphere. We let the friendly floor manager picked our dinner from The Farm, Pasta, and Dessert. All food recommendations are above average only, no excessive description. Full house took over 25 minutes for food to arrive. 3 stars food and service. Support!

Don't be deceived by the outside look. Inside the environment looks very nice and cozy. It was full house that day but it was only two of us; therefore we don't have to wait. Service good. Product good (I ordered Royal's Steak). Again, don't be deceived by the presentation. Price good.

Old school cafe serving western food menu. Taste was great. We truly love their mushroom soup. It tastes like those times when we were kids having our first mushroom soup. Very nostalgic. Me and hubby both love our chicken chop. Chicken chop are huge and juicy, generous amount of fries and nice coleslaw. Price is within affordable range, its consider inexpensive if you compare to modern cafes nowadays. Overall, Richard’s Top Taste cafe has become our family’s favourite cafe ❤️

The restaurant outlook is a bit dated but inside is cozy and comfortable. It was almost full house when I visited on Sunday night. I ordered the sizzling chicken and mushroom. The service is fast. They first served the plain water, then the soup and the butter and bread. The mushroom soup is thick and creamy, taste good. The portion of the sizzling chicken was a surprise for me, there were green mussel, fish and prawn on the top of the chicken chop. I picked the brown source and it match well with the dish. There were also some vege and a big scoop of mashed potato. Overall the food and service is good, although I did noticed some customer commented that the portion for other dishes is rather small. Another thing good about the restaurant is they disinfect the table and chairs after cleaning, and there is a divider for entry and exit. Recommend and will definitely visit Richard again.

Have heard much about this place, but have not visited before. Dining experience is not bad, attendant is friendly but they are too busy. Although interior is abit nostalgic, but this is also their plus point of lesser crowd of diners. Ordered Top Taste’s Sizzling Chicken with choice of top up $7 for a set meal (main course plus soup, drink (white coffee) or one scoops ice cream as dessert). I like the Baker Fish Ala Top more as the sauce used level up the umami of the food. The special sauce was a surprise, it taste just nice flavored and not too salty. Sizzling plater is using black pepper sauce. Good choice to top up the main course with set meal. Ending a good meal with sweet never fails. Although their orders are quite busy (dine in & delivery), you may enjoy more time seated in this nice ambiance restaurant. Worth an update on their Weekday Set Lunch offer ~ please support ~ — back again in June 23- You can always be sure of their food taste standard and portion. Come early before 12pm to avoid the lunch crowd. Tried their ginger onion chicken with rice, it’s surprising good. The savory taste with fried ginger and onion bring out the taste of the stirred fried chicken. Yums. Do give their oriental menu a try, you may find some surprises.

This place gotten good reviews, however the meal that my family had does not seems to jive well with the reviews. My combo Beef (medium rare) and Chicken isn't great... the beef texture seems to be not from a fresh cut, which made my stomach feels funny after the meal. Chicken Chop was so so; not sure how to put it... but could be the gravy. My kids were okay with their meal, anyway they rarely complains unless the meal is really bad, but they didn't compliment it either. Milkshake is pretty good... The waitress are efficient in getting orders, serving bread-butter, water for everyone. They are friendly and polite. Another good thing, this restaurant is halal too. But too bad the taste of the food is average even we are selecting Chef's recommendation. I have better western food at the same or lower price. Perhaps we just came at the wrong time...

Highly recommended their hainanese chicken chop. Tatse amazing. Outside crispy and inside juicy, couple with the sauce 🤤 They offer lunch set for weekdays lunch. All set lunch will serve with main course, soup, drink and ice cream. Worthy. The restaurant outside looks like aged but inside is cozy. Plenty of seat. Food served quite fast, from soup till main course, around 10-15mins. Visit here more than 10 years, the looks, the feel and the foods still same like first visit.

Very nice place. Mushroom soup are arguably the best I've ever tasted in my life. Too delicious for my mouth haha. Delicious foods but some could probably be better. For example the presentation. Some food looks empty and a little cheap. And need more professional waiter and waitresses because a few looks a little quite unfriendly and unprofessional. Nevertheless i still give 4 star.

Apparently this cozy diner is famed for it's scrumptious western cuisine and I can confirm that. The chicken chop was quite amazing to be honest and the cherry on top is the fact that everyone who orders a western dish gets a free complementary bread roll and butter, which is something that you rarely find on other diners. One thing I have to mention though, is the speed of the service. We had waited for quite a long time for food, one even came in literally an hour late. I sincerely hope that this problem can be resolved and improved to provide customers an even better dining experience. Other than that, great place for a western dinner.

The food offered good value for money due to its sizable portions and the availability of a daily set lunch menu. Alternatively, you can order from the à la carte menu and add RM10 for a set, which includes a soup, a drink, and a dessert. We had the grilled chicken chops in different sauces i.e. BBQ, black pepper and brown sauce, and fried chicken chop in Oriental sauce. The chops are juicy, but we didn't really like the Oriental sauce. Other sauces are okay. Despite being packed during lunchtime, the staff remained efficient, ensuring that food was served quickly. However, the noisy atmosphere may not be ideal for those seeking a quiet dining experience.

Initially I want to order chicken gordon bleu, but be informed that all gordon bleu sold out, including roasted, english and even fish & ship also no more stock. Thus give a chance for order the lamb shank. They served with the bread and butter, the bread was soft and nice. Too sad that the lamb shank was so disappointed me, the lamb was tasteless , the gravy was not really good, i got to add some chilli sauce to increase the flavour. The best part is Even though During the busy lunch hours but the food served quite fast, less waiting time.

Its a very old restaurant. a but ran down. the toilet and kitchen area very smelly. kinda turn off. however the food is good. the chicken gordon bleu is really good. fish is so so. waiting time is very long. the staffs are good. plenty of free parkings.

One of the tasty western restaurant in perai, like quote said don’t judge a book by its cover is suit well with this restaurant. It looks a bit old and not fashioned outside but when you come inside, it always full house, sometimes you even need to queue. The food price is reasonable as well. Tried a beef steak for RM 52, and so yummyyyyy.

Classic Malaysian style western food restaurant in Inderawasih. Been in operation for decades. Food served are affordable and in satisfying portion. Parking is easy. Ambience is great.

Reasonably priced western meal and some asian cuisine like rice sets (eg. Kong Po, etc) and fried rice eg oriental, etc). We ordered the Kong Po Chicken Rice Set and the Cheesy Chicken set. Both set come with a drink (eg. Lemon Tea, Latte, etc), the Soup of the day (eg. mushroom soup, etc) and ice-cream (eg. Vanilla, etc). The asian and fried rice sets (below RM20) and Western Sets (below RM30) except lamb, salmon, beef or prime meats. Simple setup with ample seating... great for family, friends and colleagues. Tastiness was at average, the food was not extravagantly presented and price was reasonable.

The price is quite high for the first time, but you can get a coupon for free ice lemon tea for the next dinner. The food and the atmosphere is nice. Recommended to try the top taste chiken. Some said the price keep the same for more than 10 years already, I think they doesn't need to raise it either.

The service is good but I get serving quit slow. The strawberry shake is delicious 😋 I like it so much. The chicken chop for me is so so only it might due to the source, for me the source too thick. The 🍞 is soft and nice and the mushroom soup also delicious 😋. Overall it is recommended place to having dinner or lunch.
