Authentic
and
pleasant.
This
historic
building
is
an
oasis
in
the
middle
of
this
city,
with
its
small
inner
courtyard
full
of
plants.
The
owner
is
very
nice,
helpful
and
respectful.
The
café
is
decorated
with
taste,
with
many
antique
objects.
The
rooms
have
a
real
charm,
high
ceilings
and
very
airy.
This
is
a
real
bonus
if,
like
me,
you
prefer
a
fan
to
air
conditioning
(although
it's
also
available).
It
is
clean
and
comfortable.
The
sound
insulation
between
the
rooms
is
not
really
great,
as
some
other
comments
says,
but
it
is
a
detail
that
would
not
make
me
remove
a
star.
I've
been
to
other
hotels
in
Penang,
and
most
are
very
noisy,
mostly
because
of
the
traffic
of
the
roads,
while
Muntri
Street
is
pretty
quiet.
I
had
a
very
pleasant
time
there.
