i don’t know why the ratings for this hotel are low. i personally love this hotel. the location is so convenient and close to a lot of food places, supermarket, and bus station. yes the room is basic, but they’re kinda spacious, comfortable, clean, and has all the amenities you need. i also love how they provide water dispenser and iron board in the hallway. above all, the room rate is waay cheaper than any other hotel with the same facilities.

Great and warm hospitality from staffs. Strategic located in town area. Room is comfortable to stay and equipped with essential needs.Many convenient and restaurants nearby within walking distance. There's laundry shop and reflexology centre nearby hotel too. Just drive through the hotel entrance and u can see registration room when entering the Hotel. Hotel Parking (FOC) can fit around 10-12 cars at one time.

Free parking is a plus for Georgetown which were limited , hotel situated at good location , for breakfast lots of variety nearby like roti canai , kuey tiow teng noodle opposite hotel , I booked through Agoda stayed 3 nights for rm270+ ,my double room at level 3 ( there’s elevator ) Coway water filter to refill water or hot water with a thermo flask provided by hotel , friendly and helpful staff round the clock working .Just the air cond at my friend’s room was not cold enough they complained , my double bed was sunken in on the left side but I was staying solo so it was alright for me but would be uncomfortable for couples . Overall a pleasant stay for me .

Room was nice and also the location. Also good to have the parking lot downstairs. Cleaning staff were very nice, said hi and smiled. The reason for this 1 star is the service. I don't understand, who would hire this rude receptionists? And do they think they're doing a great job? A small smile or at least saying hello when entering the building, would be nice. Telling about the things at the hotel: what time the door closes and what time is the check out. We booked a room with window and we re-checked from the receptionist, is that room with a window. Yes it is, he said. We head to our room, noticed that it has no window, took our stuff and again to the reception. No apologies at all from the receptionist! He just seemed bored and threw the new key to us.

Had a good couple nights stay here. Room and bathroom was good. All places walkable distance from here. do stay and check it out yourself!!

The twin room is spacious and clean, something not to be taken for granted in the area….The staff is resourceful: the first room they gave me the aircon was was barely cooling and they changed my room. Location is good for sightseeing and going out for dinner and drinks. But: the aircon barely cools the room, bathroom is smelly, bed sheets with stains, both the towels and curtains are old with holes in them! The hallways are smelly and the carpet is disgustingly stained.

Good location, clean, good value (compared to other options). Quite basic. There is a hot and cold water dispenser on each floor which is great, and WiFi works well. They wouldn't give us a second pillow, they wanted us to rent it from them for every night we wanted it - first time we have ever seen this from a hotel and left a bad taste. They just want whatever money they can get from you. Staff were in general unfriendly.

Everything OK except for the extremely rude staff ! (I notice that someone already complained about him 8 months ago under "Channel Adik Beradik"). But I doubt the management reads customer reviews.

Hotel room was clean and tidy. I booked a room with double bed, the room was quite spacious. Room facilities were basic, but suffices for short stay. There was also a water dispenser at the common corridor which is quite convenient. Daily housekeeping was also available and the housekeeper is quite experienced. There were many eateries within reach. Chulia street was just 7 mins walk from the hotel. Wifi was fast, air con and water heater worked properly. Overall a pleasant stay, will definitely rebook this hotel for my next visit to penang.

I am here for our 1 night stay the hotel located at the places of interests, hotel has thier own parking bay but barre in mind its only limited, near to Chinese restaurants, pump station, if wanna try nasi kandar there's close by Nasi Kandar Ketapang which i find nice and delicious. Apart from that the hotel has lift, sanitized, Receptions were helpful. Only the downfall is the room bed i find its not that good for big size like me coz its really making noise when you move the body. Other than that I've no issues with the hotel stay here. Remember penang is using Auto car park and you will need to download the app from store and register to it, you can reload from banks site.

I ask your staff to post through courier because i cant come again to hotel to pick due to I am staying at sungai buloh selangor. It is more than 400km!!! too far!!The management agreed to post which is i need to bear with cost rm30. But for me rm30 is too expensive!! Your staff name "Rahsal Bahruddin" is very polite and explain nicely clearly to me rm30 is because it took 15 minutes from hotel to main office. I feel acceptable with his explanation. Please give him reward by giving more bonus/higher salary increment!! He is good in working. Definitely will staying again at here!! Thankyou Grand FC hotel. Apart from the receptionist (who was there on the check-in day) having a not-so-welcoming attitude, everything else is good. They have a self-check-in and checkout machine. The location is conveniently situated near many attractions, pubs, and restaurants in Georgetown, which can be reached on foot. The rooms were thoroughly cleaned, and there is also a spacious indoor and outdoor parking area for vehicles.

Staying here for 2 nights. Not bad. Like the room & the shower. It's just u need to park at roadside cs their parking area is very limited.

Good location. Rooms are very clean hope the management keeps this up. Toilet is spacious . Slight issue with air con as it s not as cold as it should be but overall, comfortable and clean. Reception was nice and very helpful when I locked myself out. The soundproofing is not great but nothing a pair of earbuds can't solve.

Place is near to center of town, lots of places to eat nearby with some pubs for a drink or two. Room was OK, but worth the money. Service is OK. The owner is very helpful, my car remote died and I can't open my car door. So he went and bring back a battery and helped me change, can't thank him enough.

Just 2 star for the staff. Not clean I had to ask to change the bedsheets as soon as I checked in. See the pictures the big yellow staine. WiFi is good 👍 overall not worth the money

This hotel location is good, near bus stop, arround 600 metres distances. And also near with Chowrasta Market, full with gift shop. Hotel's Services is good.

WIFI is terrible here—as always, with many affordable George Town places. If you have important things that require consistent WiFi, DON’T STAY HERE. Price is low, room is clean, bed is tiny, but really, the WiFi is awful. I wouldn’t have stayed here, and I asked before check in if the WiFi worked, but I spent 2 hours trying to send a couple of emails so... That’s awful.

Good clean budget hotel. Comfortable rooms with good shower. Central location. Easy car parking. Can be noisy with other guests and a nearby nightclub but that is not the hotel fault. I Would stay again.

-Internet was good. -No cattle just flask, no toothbrush and no hairdryer. You can borrow a hairdryer from the front desk. -stain was on linen and blanket so I asked them to change. -the room is small. -the window half way painted dark brown so you can't see out side. - between your bathroom and your neighbor' bathroom there is space so I filled it with toilet paper for my privacy. Overall it is ok but it's expensive for this quality.

Decent hotel: clean, conveniently located, albeit smaller than how the picture looks. Very cool that they have parking space also - much easier than having to look for street parking in Georgetown. So very cool that they have self check in and check out machine that worked flawlessly. The bed could've been better though - the one we got sank in the middle, doesn't make for a very comfortable sleep

Good enough for the price paid. Got Nano filter water outside at each floor for top up. Walkable to most areas in Georgetown and lots of bus accessible to places beyond Georgetown. Nearby also got free CAT bus to go round Georgetown. 1 shortcoming is that need to borrow hairdryer on a daily basis, cannot keep till check out so had to return each time after use.

+ very clean; + good location close to everything; + friendly staff. - very bad soundproof; - shower in the room is falling a part; - no curtain or door in the shower as result floor in the bathroom is wet all the time; - bad location of aircon easy to catch cold.

Location is superb especially for light sleeper… no vehicle noise from the street and there is free parking on site (around 15 parking available). The only downside was the bed, even a small light move will create noise.

Good place with ample parking lots , near to at least five (5) famous street food , and 4 famous historical/landmarks, walking distance i can say... fun for tourist and travellers . Bargain price considering the strategic place, save money while still enjoying comfy room.. good facilities .

Room was clean and tidy. Comfortable to sleep in and just a walking distance from the famous nasi kandar line clear. Great value for money and highly recommended for you to stay.

NO hair dryer in the room. The sheet has some blood stains on it and walls got some cracked. Did not expect much as this is consider budget hotel. But do hope the hotel can provide hair dryer. Location is good. Limited parking!
