I stayed one night. It felt a bit like a factory to me. The room is small to other hostels I stayed at; they have really used the m2 efficiently; little space between beds, window can not open. The curtain for privacy in the bed is great but the ac does not spread well. And, don’t forget your lock for the lockers. Sliding door of the room would open by itself. Once you leave the room you are in the open restaurant space-there is no separation. The open space was louder than the other reviews say. When I arrived all tables were occupied so it was a busy time-(I could have asked if I could share). In the morning all bathrooms were occupied for a while (3 in the female, 3 in the mixed). Breakfast is not included and the menu isn’t the cheapest. If you have a suitcase, hope it fits on the steps to your bed. To me its a bit strange that the whole downstairs is an open restaurant and only stairs separate the dorms. Anybody can enter the dorms if they would want to. All that said, it looks nice. Next time I will go to a more chill hostel or guesthouse and if I need to work then go here.

    I. Am. Obsessed. I'm not normally a coworking space kind of girl, but I fell in love with Tribal as soon as I arrived. It has open air, breezy, serene working environment vibes. Noise levels are perfect for a little background sound but not disruptive. The food is delicious. The staff are amazing. Basically, just go. Trust me.

Please give a Coworking Nobel Prize to the Owner! Everything is perfect and so considerate here: 1. Music is amazing and chilled 2. Not overpriced, tasty food and water 3. Dedicated stuff with great sense of humor 4. Free entrance, natural ventilation (you won’t get sick of the cold air conditioner) 5. Comfortable chairs (back doesn’t hurts) 6. Lighting in the evening (for guys who work with EU time zone) 7. Always possible find a place to sit Thank You for the amazing place! Highly recommend ⭐️

Working in 30 degree heat isn't fun. This place needs air conditioning, if not fans, and some mosquito zappers. At night, you sit looking at your laptop getting bitten by mosquito's in humid heat. During the day, you sit in the same heat. There is no lounges, 4 bean bags, and 4 sundeck chairs. It's crowded if booked out, and there aren't many tables left. There is 9 good rooms with up to 8 people in each (72 people excluding private rooms).

I stayed at TRIBAL Hostel for a little over two weeks. The hostel's location was central yet really peaceful, which was awesome. There were great cafes and restaurants all around, making the whole experience even better. The bed was super comfy. Even though I was in a room with 8 beds, the layout still gave us plenty of privacy. The bathrooms were always clean and in great shape. The overall design and look of the hostel were really cool and captured the feel of Canggu perfectly. Oh, and the restaurant they had on-site was a highlight – the food was delicious and didn't break the bank. It's more of a chill place for people working online than a party spot, which was great for me. I got to connect with other travelers, and the best part was the staff. They were all locals and made my stay really special. They were friendly, respectful, and worked really hard to make sure everything was top-notch. I seriously can't recommend this place enough. My time at TRIBAL Hostel was amazing. I'm definitely planning to come back.

I stayed at Tribal for 2 weeks and wish I could have stayed longer. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants, cafes and the beach! Tribal was also the perfect place for me to get work done in the morning, the co-working space is the best I've worked at. The staff are all incredibly welcoming and the food is great! I surprisingly found Tribal to be very social and met a lot of like-minded individuals and life long friends. I can't fault the place and I'll for sure be back in the new year!

I stayed in Tribal a week, mostly for the time I was working remotely, and I have soooo much to say about this place. Mostly postive with one exception. And I will start with that to be sure he will see it. The boss Mark, honestly could work on his behaviour. Saw him making couple of scenes in front of guests, he constantly walks around pissed at something and you can really see it. And I must say when he is in the hostel you just stop feeling comfortable. I get running such business can be tough but still that should be visible to guest staying in a hostel. So, honestly negative review is only for the big boss not anything else. Rest of things were really great. The staff, meaning all Balinesian working there were amazing, so kind and helpful. Didn’t experience so much kindness in any other place. Especially, girl with name starting with L she was such a warm soul, always smiling and helping without hesitation. People there staying there r were also awesome, really open, everyone was up for a chat. Pls keep into account that it’s a coworking hostel so socialising is less intense comparing to normal hostels. But it was really nice to be surrounded by like minded people. Location is great as well, short walk from a beach, lots of cafes and shops around. Facilities, in general all was good, rooms are quite small so it’s very difficult to storage luggage.Bed was comfy. I think for the price all was good. One thing is cleaning, there was a lot of dust between the wall and the bed frame. That could be better. I had three nights that WiFi was not working so it affected my work but it wasn’t their fault but a provider. So overall good experience and would recommend people staying there who search for place to chill and work. Just really hope that the boss will take that review to his heart and work on his behaviour.

Tribal is the best hostel I have been to, and I have traveled for a long time and stayed in many hostels. I stay for one week, but would like to stay longer. This is newly opened. Tribal it's perfect for coworkers or those who work online. But for those of us who just travel and enjoy life, Tribal is also perfect for relaxing either you are 20 or 50 years old. They also have a fantastic kitchen that serves fresh, healthy and very good food all day until 10pm. The crew are very friendly and helpful. Everyone smiles and cares about you. The bathrooms are cleaned several times a day and it is clean. The rooms are practical and the beds are wide and good to sleep in. I give Tribal 6 of 5 stars😊

A beautiful, calm space to do work and meet like minded people. The coffee is great and the staff go above and beyond to make your experience here incredible. The rooms are the best dorms I ever stayed in, comfy bed, super clean and total privacy when you close the curtain. I kept extending my stay and in the end this place feels like home. Don’t expect a party hostel, this place is a jungly oasis outside the Canggu party scene. Thanks Tribal team, you guys are all amazing 💗

My stay at Tribal was pleasant. The aesthetics of the hostel are very appealing and modern. The bedrooms and restrooms are very clean. The staff were very warm and accommodating; they would go out of their way to make conversation with you. The drinks were good; and the food was healthy as well as tasty. The 'vibe' was very much a working and productive vibe and a little less social - at least during working hours. Things to note: Tribal is set down a narrow gravel road that many cars do not like to travel down. It can be a tad scary at night as there is not proper lighting for the road yet. The road the hostel is off of does not have a pavement/sidewalk which can make walking a bit difficult. Renting a scooter while staying here would be your best bet.

The atmosphere is great for coworking. Fills up quickly so get there early. Chairs could be a bit more comfortable. Plenty of plugs available and wifi is working well most of the time. The menu is oky. It’s on the pricier side and is a bit boring. Should get switched up more often will encourage people who live in Canggu more often to continue coming back

Stayed here for 1 week. The rooms were clean and the bunk bed was cery comfy. Service is extra class. On our departure day we got saved because they managed to order us a taxi to the airport when grab or gojek wouldnt have any availability The co-working is also extra class. We tried nearly everything from the food that was offered and it was really really good at a reasonable price as well. Overall very satisfying stay. Would definitely come again!

This place is amazing! I know more people will come here thanks to my review, which will decrease my chances of finding a spot, but really, it's one of the best co-working cafes in the Canggu area. The internet is fast, the food is amazing and great price and the view is stunning! Please don't come, but if you do save me a spot :)))

Tribal Bali is the BEST hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, lots of really varied tasty food choices, board games and quiet spots to chill and work. I feel so inspired here to get stuff done and build a community of other hard working people! Short walk from the beach and good restaurants!

First time in Bali and found this place by chance… only to realise that it’s Top 10 in the Nat Geo Bali’s hotels only my 2nd last day! Room: Bed space is good! For example, I’m 1.6m and I had a lot of room to wiggle around. Unbeknownst to me, they have a 3-pin plug outlet by the wall as well! Good for me as I use 3-pin plugs from where I’m from. The only thing that should be improved is the aircon ventilation to the top bunk as people sleeping at the top bunk do not get as much ventilation as the bottom bunks. The toilets are kept clean at all times, thanks to the wonderful ladies working there :) Service: Wonderful service from their end as well! They have never failed to greet me every time I see them and it makes me feel welcomed. Their food choices at the cafe also made it convenient for me as I just had to walk down to get food (Their pancake ice-cream is the best!) Would also love to thank the people working at the kitchen for serving good food while I was at Bali <3 Location: It’s about 30-40 mins ride to Kuta on bike. Fortunately, there’s a bike rental shop in front of Tribal which is very convenient. The Beach at Canggu is beautiful as well! Waves are untamed and sand is black. There’s also a lot food places and bars nearby the hostel you can check out. For laundry, go to Pradnya Laundry. It’ll take a day but it’s the closest and best service for its price. And if you’re wanting to ink your skin, there’s a tattoo parlour nearby called “the lovers club tattoo parlour”. They have wonderful artists and the owner, Kijo, welcomed us full heartedly! Overall: I have fallen in love with Bali and If I come back, I will come back to Tribal. I also would like to thank Diki for being a cool brother, Lisna & Daus for always serving me with a smile :) (Minta maaf kalau saya enggak mention yang lain😬)

This was my first hostel experience, and it has set the standard high going forward with my travels (keeping in mind that it's a co-working space compared to a typical hostel). From the staff, facilities and especially the people I connected with during my 2 weeks at Tribal. 500m walk to Pererenan beach - Beautiful view of the sunset every night. Started with going by myself in the beginning but as I connected with other like minded solo travellers we went as groups to enjoy dusk breaking in. It was enjoyable and memorable! Would definitely come back to Tribal whenever I visit Canggu again

I loved staying at Tribal. I had a private room and it was perfect. Super clean, had everything you needed, and was cleaned daily. The staff were incredibly nice and always available to help with anything you needed. Stayed for about 3 weeks but would have stayed longer if I could :)

Really nice place. Chill atmosphere, tasty dishes, very comfortable place for working and relaxing while you do it. Not a surprise is crowded by digital nomads… it has fast wifi, free parking for motorbikes, a wonderful swimming pool with free towels and well educated staff.

IT'S A TRAP! Dont visit if you have serious work to be done. The so call co-working is actually working in an open "cafe", which a lot of noises from the surroundings, music and smell bad when people smoking around the pool… You can feel the noise from my recording of the space, and it gets stuffy and hot in the afternoon which make me sweat and very difficult on work and attend meeting, kind of regret spending my 2 days here without any real efficiency. Only good thing is the staff are friendly and helpful.

Good co working space. The food was good as well. Different seating options are great (e.g high tables , sofa etc.) Lost one Star as i was a bit disappointed once, when I ordered extra chicken and I got 3 pieces not very well done.

You recommend it. It's a beautiful accommodation with comfortable beds (with storage space) and very nice and clean bathrooms. A good work space, safe surrounding and pleasant people, feels very familiar. The music was a bit annoying and during mid the wifi wasn't the best because of the heavy usage. More pool beds would be great and the food could be better and cheaper. Came back three times.

Had a great stay at Tribal! The space is modern and rooms/bathrooms are very clean. I particularly liked that the dorm rooms offer quite a bit of privacy. Besides the accommodations, really recommend trying out their menu as everything that I tried was to die for. The only reasons for 4 stars is the location, as this hostel is quite far from the rest of the sites in Canggu. I would however 100% stay again for the cleanliness and service here.

A good place, you can see what was done with soul, the owner of the establishment should be given a medal. service: 1/10 food: 9/10 atmosphere: 9/10 But, the staff of the institution is disgusting, the main waiter constantly distracts from work by running around the entire territory of the complex with a menu in his hands and says to order more and more, although you did not even have time to finish the previous order. + they have hidden conditions that I only found out about when I left, they do not warn that if you sit for more than 3 hours, then you will need to pay +100,000 rupees on top, if you sit for more than 6 hours, then you will need to pay 300 to leave 000 rupees. You can only work and drink coffee for 3 hours, then the main waiter will circle around you and insist that you leave or order as much food as possible and will constantly distract you from work.

I'm rating this as both a coworking space and hostel as I stayed there for a week. The coworking part is good (decent wifi and lots of tables) but from a hostel perspective it needs a ton of work. No social activities to meet anyone or anything at the hostel. I understand its all about coworking but for people staying there they need to make it slightly more fun.

  • 4/5 René R. 1 year ago on Google
Great place to meet people, relax, and take a swim in the pool. Whether this is a good place for coworking depends on your job. It is not quiet, and people in swim cloths will back in the background of your video calls. Food and drinks are fine 💪

This placed founded by a self-declared "broke backpacker" is now a big cash machine : they jump you after 1h time if you dont purchase more food or drinks. They won't let you work in peace eventhough you already paid for something; there is a minimum spend. Drinks are average and overpriced. Dorm bed prices (IDR 220k+) are twice as much as what you will pay in other similar hostels nearby. Pool is nice but overall it's a hard pass.
