A great experience all round. My other half doesn't/can't swim, so approached this with trepidation! She had no need to worry - it was well organised & everything was explained clearly in French & English. There are several guides who stay with you the whole time so there's little or no risk at all. Once down the ladder on the side of the boat, the guides 'guide' you down to the sea bed where you can wander around under their careful watchful eyes. It feels akin to what i would imagine walking on the moon is a bit like. The guides give you bread & the fish come swarming around - pretty amazing! (don't worry there's aren't any really big ones & definitely no sharks!). All in all we were under water for about half an hour & felt totally safe the whole time. Brilliant fun

Fabulous experience. The changing facilities on board are basic, but the whole walking undersea thing was super.

Experience of a lifetime! I’ll definitely do it again. You’ll get a cool go-pro video undersea at a reasonable cost! They’ll prep you for the experience- all you need to do is know how to walk 🤣!

The undersea walk is pretty amazing. Walking on the sea bed with fish swimming around you is probably the highlight of my trip to Mauritius. The place is easy to find and the employees are friendly. They take footage of your underwater experience however our footage was damaged. I will advise everyone to either request the staff to make sure that the camera they will be using works properly or to take your own underwater camera. In that way you can ensure that you capture the whole experience. Overall the experience was amazing, the only disappointment was the lost footage.

I tried solar under sea walk at Grand baie. It was an wonderful expreience. Being a person scared of water I was happy to do undersea walk with best team. Mr. John who drove the boat and the guys in the team were experienced, concerned about customers safety. They claim they are only solar sea walk company utilising solar energy to operate the gas supply under water. From the shore you ll be taken on a boat to deep sea and teansferred to another boat where you ll get equipped to go under water. There is a cabin to change dress, they under water shoes. The team explains with details of activity and proceedings. The team makes you comfortable, they encourage you, ease your fears to get into water. One person dives into water before the tourists, second person stays afloat helping you get into water, third and fourth person on boat puts the helmet on you, before all these 5th person ties a heavy belt to your waist to keep you inside water. Inside water you walk around corals, hundreds of fishes, you can feed fishes, dance and pose for video. The company makes video and you buy it. You ll given a certificate after the sea walk. Over all experience abd assistance by the team was excellent. Must try activity in Mauritius.

A fantastic experience! Incredible to see the fish and coral reef up close and be able to observe them. Perfect for nervous people - a couple of members of our party were a little anxious pre-dive but our guides made sure that everything was explained clearly and that we felt safe at all times. Remember to take some slow, deep breaths as you sink down to the bottom - there's nothing to worry about, just enjoy the experience :)

2021 review Had a remarkable under water walking experience with Solar Sea Walk. All the guides were very informative and made sure we were happy and safe throughout the activity. The views under water were astounding and we were surrounded by all varieties of fishes. Definitely highly recommend. 2023 review Went again in November 2023!! Just as brilliant as the first time. Team were quick and efficient with the work, explaining the procedure, how the whole thing works in French English AND German!! Still very diverse sealife in the water, also managed to see a sea turtle and lion fishes which were incredible! Still highly recommend.

Awesome experience. Very good and helpful staff. Video shooting can be kept at a lower price. I felt it was over priced. Make sure you take enough towels and extra clothes to use after completing the activity. There is no changing room.

Amazing! Unbelievable....staff is incredible. Very accommodating. Encouraging and funny. They left on the dot (I think it was for 10 am and they left at 10 exactly). Although they made a U-turn after 2-3 minutes for a couple who had a booking but were late. I think it was nice of them to go back to get them. You get plenty of time to feed the fish and walk around. They encourage you to jump and walk. Others had their own recording devices which they didn't make a fuss about. There are 3-4 divers with you. So it's super safe. I booked through email on their website, kept communicating through WhatsApp and paid at their kiosk by the beach. There was a 7 years old little girl with our group. She absolutely loved it. She was jumping around and having a blast. -- disclaimer: I was terrified and it's quite cold lol. You are going under water in the deep sea. It's freezing. Bring a towel. Bring extra clothes if you want. But totally worth it.

Must do activity in Mauritius, its a great feeling walking on the sea bed(just 3-4 meters below sea level) around a lot of fishes and underwater coral breathing properly.. Your head won't get wet with their equipment.. Try this, have fun..

We went to walk under the water on Wednesday!!! We felt like we were treated like loyalty by the whole staff. Ashby and I are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the whole experience was simply amazing. I cannot swim...have snorkled once in my life. I was so mentally ready !! John at the helm of the boat, Mathew and two other divers made the whole experience as magical as it could possibly be. WE absolutely LOVED OUR WHOLE EXPERIENCE !!! Cannot wait ti do it again. I actually enjoyed the fishes nibbling my finger tips. Thank you so much Solar Sea Walk !!🦈🎉🐋🎉😍🌷 We even got certificates of completion !!!

It is, what it is. In my opinion not worth the money. Tourist nap. If you are a diver, this experience is different to everything, that is connected to diving. It‘s loud, hectic and totally scripted. You „walk“ only 5 Minutes. The rest of the time the guide takes photos. Just my 2 cents.

Brilliant experience and the staff are excellent. Huge numbers of fish around. My only complaint would be that the video is a bit expensive
