Lovely lunch with a beautiful view of Grand Baie. The prawn platter and calamari was fresh and delicious. The staff are attentive and even assisted me to find a speedboat for a kitesurfing lesson on a Sunday. One of the best meals we’ve had in our two weeks in Mauritius, if we weren’t leaving tomorrow we’d be back for sure.

We visited this beach bar and found it very pleasant indeed. Great service, good beer, and delicious food. The best bit, of course, is the backdrop of Grand Baie beach, which is stunning. We were in Mauritius for 35 days, and this bar became our local whilst here.

It is great place, we were there just before the South Africa rugby World Cup match & the atmosphere was amazing. We went there again for a last night, atmosphere was incredible, food was really good.

Totally loved it. Large parking space with a very polite and welcoming guy to guide you. Direct access to the beach, ideal for those with kids. Food was excellent. Waiter assigned to our table was very friendly. Waiting times are reasonable. Prices are a bit higher than other places but acceptable. Recommended place for couple, friends, with or without kids.

A consistently great service every time we visit this beachfront restaurant and bar. We had an awesome local Mauritius dish (creole shrimp curry) and local beers. We'll be back soon.

I ate here twice with my family during my stay in Mauritius. The owner greeted us and took our order the first night, patiently explaining different options and making recommendations. Every dish was excellent. The seafood is just swimming fresh, the chicken is tender and juicy. The drinks are good and strong. The staff is friendly. The music is good and the people get tipsy and dance. It's a wonderful place.

Very well located with a wonderful view of the bay. You can hear the waves crashing the beach. A little loud but very relaxing to enjoy. The smoked Marlin salad was excellent and is the local fish of Mauritius. Service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately I didn’t reserve so couldn’t sit on the beach view chairs so make sure you reserve in advance!

Possibly the best chicken burger I've ever had never mind in Mauritius! Tasty chicken breast with a sweet tomato sauce and pineapple - delish! Came back to this place twice in one day as the views were great and beer choice good too.

Amazing atmosphere and great food. We had these prawns on skewers that were practically lobsters size. Super fresh have to try it ! Really cute date location for sunsets also and there were live music when we went. Probably try to book ahead as we were lucky to have gotten a table.

We've been coming to the Beach House for a few years now, often raring by Hobie Catamaran, but this time was a hot sunny day and a taxi. We had the Tuna Cappacio starter, really fresh tuna with a soy and pink pepper dressing - wonderful. For mains the seared tuna was wonderful as was the chicken espetada. Nice cold Phoenix to accompany. We were upstairs with great views and good service. A great way to spend a couple of hours

Breathtaking views, with access to a private beach where you can enjoy cocktails and delicious food. Definitely more of a tourist place but for our first day it was a great way to settle in. We enjoyed a meat platter as well as a Octopus Salad & Tuna sashimi Salad. Cocktails were strong - just the way us South Africans like it! Great place to take the family. Staff were lovely and friendly!

This was the best restaurant I have been to while in Mauritius. It made us even return twice. I especially enjoyed the catch of the day, a big Ruby Snapper fish and my wife enjoyed a tuna carpaccio with ananas. The live music was great also. There may be days when a prior reservation would be advisable. Plus it is right next to the water.

Seating and views are the only things superb about this place. Staff are so unprofessional and unfriendly. Which is totally opposite to the Mauritius manners. The staff got no smile greeting even. Food was good. The staff will definitely bring this place down at some point.

Lovely place that you can feel yourself very relaxed. Casual place for a drink and maybe sitting at Just outside of the place and watch the sunset. Food is amazing, I can recommend bot shrimp avocado salad and mussels with garlic &butter sauce. Both taste heavenly . And also cocktail, piña colada is really really good, but you should try others as well

Wow, what at place. Great food, great location mor or less on the beautiful beach, great crew and super good drinks. What's not to like. They even have their own parking spots, which is very good for us tourists who don't know where to park the car otherwise 🙈🤣

Excellent views, terrific cocktails and lovely food. We were 5 of us and ordered a mix platter for 4 as we weren't very hungry, It was enough for us. I have to concur with other reviewers on here, the service was poor

Excellent menu with wide choice of dishes. Recommend any of the seafood. Steak was a bit tough for the price. The Burrata salad is definitely recommended. Great location on the beach.

The Beach House is a place I always go to every time I visit Mauritius. It's consistently busy so booking is essential, especially if you want a front row seat to the breathtaking view. The place has beach acces, with a cute door leading directly onto the beach. There are two seating choice there so you could opt to dine in the sand. I booked the first row seat with a window seating: perfect to watch the sunset. It really is a breathtaking view and honestly makes the whole experience of visiting the Beach House. My reasoning for the 4 stars is that the service is quite slow. Although we ordered pretty quickly, we waited quite a while for our food. We did get some bread for the table which helped a bit, but I did notice that the overall service was slow. Even when asking for the bill we ended up waiting a while. I eventually just went up to the bar to tap my card. The atmosphere is quite noisy. We happened to go in race night (F1) so this could also have played a role in the noise being quite high. There are a few TVs that all show different sports so I'm not sure if they are going for a sports bar atmosphere or a more relaxed beach bar atmosphere. We went with our 2 kids, which was quite an experience. Although they did have a high chair and offered some kid-friendly food, the overall noise was a bit overwhelming, especially for my 8 month old. We ordered a variety of food: greek salad, prawn platter, steak, chicken curry and pizza. The portions are large so that was a bonus. The food was fresh and delicious. My husband doesn't eat pork and was bit disheartened by the fact that they don't separate the cooking of the meats. This left him limited for food choices. I think this is something they could look into. I am grateful to our waiter who was honest enough to let him know so that he could order accordingly. I must mention that there cocktails were divine! I tasted both he strawberry daiquiri (frozen) and Pina colada. Verrrrrry good!! Overall, it's quite obvious that the place is very well supported. The view is the absolute highlight and standout quality for the place.

Beach house restaurant, it really means beach house...right on the beach. Lady serving me was very kind and prompt with my order. Calamari was seriously fresh, crispy together with the best cooked fries. I will be back to taste more of your food Chef....

Great location and vibe. Beautiful view of the turquoise water. Great cocktails too. The food was not as great, however. I ordered a rib-eye steak that was undercooked and fries were not warm. Sooooo, great place for cocktails! Free parking is across the street. It’s a busy restaurant, but the service is quick and friendly.

They have a wide selection of dishes, lots of parking, a few meters away from the main building. Good for sport, and you are required to be vaccinated. Great place to be for sunset and great for sport too, they have some table in the beach down below as well. They are fluent in English and French

Very nice place for a Saturday outing. The good was nice took the chicken schnitzel and 2 pieces chicken. The food was a bit too salty though couldn't finish my food. Otherwise staffs were very welcoming. Prices are bit high as well.

Went there on a Friday night with colleagues. We had a mix platter of different 'gajacks' on the beach so we could also watch the amazing sunset! Ordered a burrata parma salad whuch was truly delicious ! The ambiance was good and relaxed. Overall, nice place to be on a Friday !

The place is very lively, with lot of expats and tourists, and the service good. There is a free parking for the restaurant guests, making it very convenient. Food is very fresh and portions quite abundant. The wine of the house is also quinte good for the price. We sat just in front of the seaside, with a marvelous view at sunset. Definitely suggested to try!

We came for lunch. The views of the beach were stunning and food was good. Unfortunately, not all food arrived at the same time and one of the orders was wrong when it arrived. However, I would still return as the quality of the food was great and setting was excellent.

Well it’s one of the few places open at that time of the year in grand bae plus the reviews where good so we decided to visit it, honestly the sunset views from the restaurant are amazing very beautiful, the staff where friendly and very helpful, the food was okay specially for seafood we felt it was average honestly, we spent also most of our time killing flies, yes we are on an island but it was to much we got really annoyed, price wise it was okay

Only heard of it before and now that I've been there, its definitely not a place to miss. In addition to the delicious food you get a beautiful view. Great food is not worth your money if the service is bad, the staff at Beach House are super friendly and amazingly helpful. Had some last minutes request which they generously acceded to. Would 100% go there again and I highly recommend it 👍 EDIT: Went again,food and service Still as great as last time.

Food is always really good. Fast efficient service too. Most nights they have live music. One of the few locations that you can eat with a sea view and have access direct to the beach
