This place is awesome! The ambience is great, the staff also very kind and the food is REALLY great! Such a huge variety of dishes served with burrata :)) the pasta is delicious - they even made us a special composition of ingredients. And try the creme brulle - I ate so many on Mauritius but this one was the best! Also the coffee was good - they serve their own Dodo Café which you can buy in the supermarket at La Croissette too. Even the cute Dodo Café mugs for either espresso or normal coffee are sold by them!! Check it out, really nice gifts or as a memory of your vacation :)

Awful experience, the service is bad, the staff lacks professionalism and tend to give better service to foreigners than local people. Got my Penne without prawns(pourtant mne passe commande 1 penne avec crevettes) . For my local folks, don't waste your time and money going to this place xoxo

Loved the place.. its a small place with a very casual yet lovely ambience! The waitress was helpful to suggest us the right food option for us. The fresh Mozarella tasted so good (I had it for the first time)! Pizza- super 👌, the best pizza crust in Mauritius- super thin and light, ravioli- super! All in all really enjoyed our evening with some great quality food!

One year ago I went there and the food tasted like REAL Italian food but now the management change and the chef changes the food is not as good as before. The food is okay but nothing like real Italian food. So I'm changing my review. The restaurant has a nice interior though.

We went there with Friends because the Pizza was good 2 years ago and now there are new owners and it looks even fancier. In the end it was completely dissapointing... the "foccacia" (here apearently Pizza bread) they gave us was uneatable because it had like 1kg of salt on it. Then we had to wait for about 1 hour until 4 of our 6 dishes came. The rest took another 40min. The taste was also bad and very boring and the waiter was unfriendly. In the end also much too expensive.

Their cocktail glass are too small for the price. Ordered a Tagliatelle Al tortufo, there should be fresh truffles on top, but when we got our order, there were no grated fresh truffles. Called the waitress and she said they don't have fresh truffles. She should have said that when taking the order so that I could have select another dish. She did not even told us when serving the dish. Lame service. She said that I will pay less as there is not truffle, well I ask myself if this would have been the case if I had not ask her. Would definitely not go there again.

Went for dinner, was sceptical of authentic Tuscan cuisine on the island but was positively surprised. We had burrata, pasta with shrimp (nice al dente), and pizza. Location is definitely way less formal / upscale then on the pictures but still had nice casual vibe. Reasonable prices. Proper aperol. Huge pizzas in size.

We have ordered mixed buffalo platter which was absolutely delicious. The buffalo itself is super fresh and huge. One thing that I missed in this platter is bit of tomatoes and basil. I think if you add couple slices of tomatoes the dish would taste even better with all these combinations of salami and buffalo. Then we got pizzas which were huge, if we have only known the pizza is that big we have just ordered one pizza for 2 of us to share, especially after taking mixed platter for the starter. It is very subjective to tell how was the pizza, but the dough La Botteghita uses is not my favorite, it is too thin and crispy although my girlfriend enjoyed a lot. One minor thing that I didn’t like is that after we’ve finished the starter the waiter did not replace the fork and knife to the clean one. Instead, he just put the used cutlery on the table (not even on the napkin). This is not very hygienic to put your cutlery on the wooden table. It’s not a big deal to change the cutlery to the fresh one after the starter plate which will make the difference especially to the most fastidious customers. Overall, I think we’ll be back again. At least for the starter plate for sure!

We made a reservation by telephone on Thursday for Saturday evening. Our reservation was not in the book on arrival but we were given a table. The service was great and our waiter was very hospitable. The food was good. My sea food spaghetti was totally overpriced at Rs1800.00. It was a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a bland dish that did not have much seafood bar a couple of mussels, some Dorado and a couple of prawns. Really ridiculous. However we still enjoyed our evening. The ambience was great and the music was on point. We will definitely go back but avoid the "specials" on offer which were triple the price of the dishes on the menu.

We came for a cocktail - group of 7 - happy hour. No alcohol in alcoholic cocktails. After discussion with the waiter, they are adding the mandatory 3cl, but still no way to know that for sure and our drinks remained like that. First and last time here.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of celebrating a special birthday at this Italian restaurant. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. Very accommodating staff advised on availability of and provided a special order to meet our dietary restrictions. Perfectly cooked and tender beef tenderloin accompanied by simple green salad.Food arrived quickly and met our specifications. We chose to sit outside because of heat and noise inside. The only thing that could have been better: no smoking by other guests at a neighbouring table. Comfortable dining chairs added to a relaxed dinner. Parking on the street close to the restaurant.

Been there many times before the renovation, food was always great and well-priced. I went for dinner last week for the first time after the renovation, while the new look, fancier cutlery and bigger space is undoubtedly nice, I just don’t understand the considerable increase in price… Not that the food got any better. I ordered the poseidon pizza which came drenched in oil and with very little seasoning. Portion sizes seem smaller now. But service was nice as usual and the new look gives it a more formal dining vibe.

I recently dined here in La Botteghita, Italian restaurant and the ravioloni was simply outstanding - it will likely be the best meal of my trip. The homemade pasta was also fresh and delicious, and the starters were so yummy and large that we shared one meant for two among four people. The service was nice too, maybe a bit slow. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of fantastic Italian cuisine in a welcoming environment.

This is my favourite restaurant in Mauritius. Great pasta, super delicious pizza with crispy thin bases. Reasonable prices at about Rs 400 to Rs 450 a pizza. Well worth it. The venue is conveniently situated on the main beach rd in Grand Bay Plenty of parking. I love the staff. Always so friendly and helpful. Especially Ingrid. Friday and Saturday night you can also have a little boogie at the same venue after 10:30pm.
