Although the traffic on the island is tremendous, the island has great food to offer, great tourist spots, hiking and explorations spots, beaches and night spots. It has something to suit all who visits the island. You do need time to explore the local sites and not the tourist areas to experience the Penangite life

One of the most popular tourist destinations in Malaysia along with Langkawi, KL, JB and other destinations within Malaysia. Great food and attractions both historic and modern. Go try the off beaten path and discover rural penang which is as attractive and exciting as Georgetown and Batu Feringhi. In terms of last mile connectivity there are no mini buses or other smaller transport options that can be taken to reach smaller areas not on the main path of city bus routes. Penang should start such services to make other areas accessible for tourists as well as locals.

Penang is one of the most beautiful places to visit or live for expats. The nature, hill, and see provide a mixed nature paint. However, as any other tropical place, the insects, lizards, and snakes are thriving.

Penang is a Malaysian island off the Malay Peninsula in the Strait of Malacca. In George Town, the capital of Penang state, foreign influences are evident in landmarks like colonial Fort Cornwallis, Chinese clan temple Khoo Kongsi and Indian-style Kapitan Keling Mosque. Other notable religious sites include the Chinese Goddess of Mercy Temple, the Buddhist Kek Lok Si Temple and Hindu Sri Mahamariamman Temple.

A nice place to relax from the city buzz.. Simply relax, watch sight, good scenersnies and silence .. Penang is like a old world charm. There are modern buildings as well, yet old I'd still maintained. Life is much laid back there. Lots of tourists from across the world. Some places are made dirty by some careless tourists like casual littering. But overall a good weekend getaway. There are many places to visit from nature lovers to history, all can enjoy. Loads of cuisines to try. Just plan a weekend and extend few more days, 5 days or a week would be better. Simply recline, stroll, click pics, feel the vibe, dont dirty the island and go back with beautiful memories , relaxed mind and lungs filled with oxygen.

A very wonderful place to go to for a holiday. Be it with a loved one or together with friends. Food here is abundant and really good. A lot of sight seeing. Nice night life. Shops for days. Wonderful beaches. However of you are thinking of safety. Don't go alone. Better in groups as this is still a 3rd world place. Shisha beside the beach with a Starbucks in hand. Visiting the mountain on the love bridge. Going to the wonderful shopping malls. A place worthwhile with the right people.

In the Georgetown. It s quite easy and slow life in walking. But the city is waiting on more tourists. The footpath is a little bit hard to walk in the Georgetown zone

Penang island has quite a lot to offer. I visited GeorgeTown located in Penang island. A small old town, I love how itโ€™s well taken care of and still has an authentic look and feel. Lively night life, great pubs and restaurants. I found every street and corner of GeorgeTown picturesque. This place is perfect for street art fans.

Penang, the island of Malaysia, is located off the northwest coast of Peninsular Malaya in the Malacca Strait, without a doubt, wandering through the streets of the UNESCO Heritage Area of โ€‹โ€‹Penang should be top of any visitors listโ€ฆ

Go anywhere else, will be happy for a while and then missing my hometown. Penang is where you get good food both street and fancy, both village and town vibes. Beach or mountains, everything is in Penang.

The surrounding is an island with all old buildings as heritage. So the roads in are also narrow and traffic was heavy. Many hotels and some are new with reasonable price.

A beautiful island with hills and beaches. Very interesting to explore the history of the place related to 2nd world war. Indian and Chinese people are locals. Many food varieties are available. Small island around, hiking and little India in George town are the attraction.

We went up the heritage trail. A lot of steps and it's very hot. You can also take the train up. There is a food court and various activities at the top. Going down, the Penang hill trail is recommended. It's a quick descent and you have beautiful views of Penang and Georgetown.

This is a fun place to visit especially if you are looking for nice and reasonably priced restaurants. If you go during sunset, you could find a nice restaurant to watch the sun setting and take an evening stroll along the water way.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Penang Island, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish. This vibrant island is a treasure trove of culture, delectable food, and unforgettable experiences. As soon as I arrived, I was enchanted by the charming blend of old-world charm and modern attractions. The historic streets of George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, were a feast for the senses. Colorful street art, colonial architecture, and bustling markets added to the unique atmosphere.
