- Dentist steps out mid-treatment and admin enters to explain price for teatments (shockingly over market price). Before you get the chance to ask the dentist further, you have to decide which treatment u want to go for. - One visit, u may need more than 10 fillings. 6 months later, u may need 20 fillings. And each filling can range from rm100-rm300. Dentist will show u a bunch of pictures, then ask u to decide which one u want to do. Scary to hear more than 50% cavity in my mouth although practice regular oral care. Can someone explain to me how u decide which tooth needs fillings compared to other dentists??? - You will need to visit them again to touch up the fillings u did. After few months you will feel there is no more filling on the tooth that u recently filled. What overly soft material are u using??? - If u get a junior dentist for scalling... Gud luck to your gums!!! >.< In summary, go get a second opinion! U will regret it if u dont...

There are conservative treatment plans and there are aggressive treatment plans, this dental clinic is boarderline scammers. Abit of background, I religiously floss, use Neutralfuor, get teeth cleaned every 6 months, x rays every year, if there are fillings, my dentist would have flagged the problem. This EOW dentist said I needed 10 fillings, didn’t ask to take x rays, proceeded to show me where the problems are with the oral camera, taking dozens of pictures, I kid you not, random pictures of light tar tar build up, saying I need treatment everywhere, he assumed I knew nothing and because I’m from overseas would blindly accept EOW rates. The EOW dentist said to my friend, he needed 16 fillings. My friend has regular check ups and does not suddenly need 16 fillings. This is my experience, please get a second opinion.

I was a regular customer here but my recent experiences was not very pleasent thus the lower review rating and reasons for it as below: 1. The cost for the service here is getting pricier. I was told it costs rm250 per filling because the cavities are quite big. Thus, i decided to go to a different dentist for consultation and was only charged rm90 per filling for the same cavity. 2. The pricing information are normally explained by the dental assistant which makes me quite uncomfortable as i would prefer to get the dentists' proffesional explanations even on the pricing information for treatment options. 3. Scalling done by one of the junior dentist was quite painful and unpleasent. 4. One of the older staff assistant is not very friendly to deal with, especially when making appointments or requests.

I highly recommend Eow Dental, having had great experiences with them since 2008. I live in the UK but visit Penang each year and since 2008 Dr. Eow has been my dentist, with a recurring (except covid) annual check-up / treatment. It was here that I learned you don't need injections to get a filling. Dr. Eow does a great job and only treats when necessary, plus explains everything perfectly (in English) with photos and X-rays, this year he explained that the 4 fillings a UK dentist quoted me 5500RM for weren't actually required! Thankfully I waited until seeing Dr. Eow instead of trusting the UK dentist.... I agree with other reviews that he is a bit more expensive than other local dentists in Penang but not excessively so, my opinion is that you pay a little extra for the skill / experience and high spec equipment that he has.

Just did my teeth whitening and it's worth the price. All done in only 10 minutes! Good service and friendly dentist, Dr. Eow. Will definitely visit again for other dental treatments.

I went to this clinic around 7pm. The first things front desk mentioned was : We are going to close.” Then, I replied :” oh ya.. i knew, but may I know the details of braces from here. Should I take off my shoes?” She briefly explained and let me stand in front of the door when talking. (Please check back CCTV to justify ) Yes, I knew you’re going to close and we all have common sense about this. Just passed by the dental clinic few times and wish to know the braces details. Disappointment. I was thinking to get the treatment from your clinic but it’s okay. The first impression is really bad.

I am a regular customer of Eow Dental but unfortunately the scaling service from the junior dentist today was dissapointing. It was an uncomfortable experience for a simple scaling treatment. The dental nurse’s skill was also not up to par and at one point of time, put the suction too near my bottom gum and caused some irritation now. High prices charged that do not equate to good dental treatment and experience today.

The only place I trust for my teeth. Very friendly and professional staff with good service and explanation! 5 star

I would recommend Dr Eow. Excellent doctor, by far the best dentist I have been to. Very through with his work coming from someone who is very afraid of dentist and needles. Thank you for the great experience and quality of work. I had all my wisdom teeth extracted without any pain and discomfort a few months ago. No painkillers required ! Truly amazing. Today, I had one beautiful crown done. The entire process was great.

The lady at the counter sounded unhappy and looked down upon them👎🏻 as if I owed them millions. I still feel pain for three consecutive days after the filling. The filled tooth is ugly and looks like a bumpy road. I really feel that the dentist is very unprofessional and unprofessional 😠 A waste of my hard-earned money! ! !
