Great beach for a swim with not too much surf and a shallow easy walk in. Great to have showers and facilities with a car park right there close to the beach too. Enjoy

No words or photos can explain how beautiful this beach is. Turquoise Waters and crisp white sands. Just go see it for yourselves. Recommend a weekday visit to avoid the crowds. Enjoy!

Can get busy on weekends and public holidays. Too many irresponsible parents allowing children to climb on rocks detracts from my ability to relax. Can be rocky so I always bring my aqua shoes. Sometimes a bit smelly when live-cattle transport ships are around.

Decent beach near Fremantle. Beware occasional sharp objects (metal pipes, builders scrap, jagged rocks etc.) washing up due to history of port construction. Water is usually nice for swimming. Occasional small surf breaks at the south end. Great spot to catch a sunset. Sand dredger has just added tons of sand raising the beach level (oct 2022).

Beautiful beach, really clean and the sand is so soft. We've been there twice when we were in Perth. My summer time was perfect in Perth

Beautiful place to visit. Shark net in place and a shipwreck to snorkel over. Beach has nice sand and gently shelves into the sea so good for the younger kids.

Great location, close to carpark and change rooms and no need to walk up/down steps or sand dunes. A clean and beautiful beach!

This is a great spot to Photograph surfers and to watch the cruise ship coming and going from fremantle. My website is Simon Rees Photography or I'm on Facebook under the same name.

Pulled up for a quick look, absolutely amazed at the water and the sand. Friends had ice cream while I soaked up some rays.

We go here for the dog beach!! Absolutely love it! Never had any issues. Our little man loves it mostly! People are friendly, water is beautiful and it's a great atmosphere! On hot days, parking can be difficult but one will always pop up!

Great for windsurfing, not always the best for swimming. Have been there 3 times in the past week and waves are always present and blowing sand is too. Not a great place if you are looking for still waters and sunbathing areas. However gets extremely crowded on public holidays as it's next to a nice restaurant and close to most living areas.

Nice hidden location near port - no facilities though which make it what it is!

Great beach for swimming, fishing off the groin and surfing. It's best for surfing in Winter and you need about a 2m swell. The council has recently built a nice look out area above the groin. Plenty of parking unless it's the surf is pumping!

Great beach to take the kids and a coffee. I came down here with my family, went for a swim and sipped on a nice espresso from the cafe near here. A great way to spend the day.

Septic today..last few days actually, I don't know if it's just washed into a small area left of the anx,but it was disgusting, putrid to say the least! i don't know if that's acceptable or the norm! I've swam there 30yrs you notice things "".the blackened sand like oil (could be naturally occurred).otherwise it's usually my go to__not sure anymore!

There is a rocky outcrop where you can watch the sunset like we did, people go fishing here along with swimming it is a bit more private than port beach and still close enough to use the showers and toilets

I expected it to be noisier from the busy road but it was actually quite peaceful by the water.

Nice beach with not so much people...

  • 1/5 Bob D. 6 years ago on Google
Really disappointing. Lots of rocks from the waterline to about 15m out. On a perfect beach day there were lots of people but only a few swimming; just too hard to get past the rocks.

Full of rocks and old construction rubble. Better beaches a few hundred metres north

πŸ‘πŸ‘ We visited after lunch and have a lovely walk along the beach. I would say it's a walkway more than a beach. Not much sand and water play. But the well maintained walkway and the bridges connected to it are all wonderful. Next time will visit for sunset.
