Ridiculous, Rigatoni not freshly cooked, old from 2 days ago, it took them 5 minutes to reheat. Claims to be high standard but home cooked food is better. Take your money elsewhere.

Famous Italian restaurant in the city center. The main meal is delicious but the appetizers are ordinary, and the tiramisu is a must-try dessert.

Had a private room dinner here with my brother and friends for his birthday. Food was epic. Lamb was amazing. It was all delicious. Service was good, could have been better. I will go back if the opportunity arises.

Great service and friendly staff, I definitely recommend this place. Only thing is that I was disappointed they didn’t have the one drink I wanted on the menu. The omelette was great especially with the fontina cheese.

If I could give Post 100 stars I would! We had an AMAZING Boxing Day lunch here. Everything was perfect - I couldn’t fault a single second of our visit. The staff are all so lovely and warm, the wine selection was outstanding, and the food was possibly the best I’ve eaten anywhere in the world. I’m incredibly impressed and will be recommending Post to anyone going to Perth. We will definitely be returning on future Perth trips ourselves! Thank you for a great lunch.

A very pleasant venue that provides great food and professional service. They make a good coffee and have good tea options. Background music is pleasant and the volume permits easy conversation. Tables are well spaced to enhance privacy of conversation. Decor is comfortable. Prices are reasonable and food presentation is of a high standard.

This was one of the finest dining experiences of my life. I rang at nearly 8pm on a Sunday evening and Noemi who I spoke to could not have been more understand and accommodating to my situation. I had been let down by another restaurant and needed to find somewhere for my friends birthday at the last minute. She was such a star to allow us to squeeze in because they were very busy. From start to finish the whole experience was fantastic. Our waitress was named Azusa and she talked me through the wine list and what kind of flavours I usually enjoy to find the perfect wine for me. Her knowledge of both the wine and food menu was extensive and she knew the answer to all of our questions. The food was outstanding and I couldn't find fault with any dish but have to give a special mention to the gnocchi and the tiramisu which were the best of both that I had ever tasted. The staff even put a little candle on my friends Panna Cotta for her birthday. Thank you to you all for a lovely evening and I cannot wait to return

Excellent service and wine list. The gnocchi was a bit dense and haavy. But the oysters were super fresh. The other entrees and meals were very good. Would go back.

This place showed fully booked online, but a call worked. We were the first to be seated, excellent service, and the Beef Carpaccio was delicious. Arancini and steak were average. A must-try is the Tiramisu – rich in flavor! The atmosphere is fantastic throughout the restaurant. The cocktails and red wine we ordered were smooth and delightful.

Lovely service to start with, and Excellent knowledge of specials and Italian wines on offer. We ordered swordfish crudo and two pastas to share which was plenty for two people. The pasta was Perfection. El dente, flavourful, not heavy at all and I didn't even ask for more parmesan cheese (like I would normally do at other restaurants) since the flavours were already perfect. Pasta is pricey, but worth the treat on special occasions or when you're craving good quality food.

Great place, great staff! They made a special sweet dish for my Dad’s 50th and were very friendly! The food was surprisingly not pricy despite its fancy look! This is a perfect place to go for a casual but not too casual lunch or dinner!

We went last night for a dinner with friends and everything was simply perfect! The waiter follow you and check the table constantly without bothering you, every request has been accepted, the food came out at the right time without pressure, a huge list of wine and prices are fair considering all the comforts they offer. No one was disappointed! 5 stars!

Ok service Lovely interior Good food Perhaps our mistake was ordering the degustation. However my fave way to experience a menu is by doing the chefs choice and getting a spread of the menu. I feel we each would have enjoyed better if we chose our own dishes. Everything was good but I did not leave having loved it. However, the value of the tasting is very good. To begin we were served the veal battuta, flavoursome with pops of anchovy. Tuna bruschetta was a stand out. Served on wood fired bread was delicious. The arancini were a let down. They lacked flavour and needed a sauce to cut through the bland dry texture. Next was a ricotta gnocchi in a mushroom sauce. This dish was very good with textures and flavour perfect. Next there was a choice of chicken or fish. Having chosen the fish I was not disappointed. It was perfectly cooked to melt in your mouth and served with a side of cooked greens along with a bowl of three cooked potatoes. The chicken while perfectly cooked and succulent was not served with any sides and had we known we would have ordered some greens. Finally the chefs tiramisu. All the right flavours and texture. We left feeling very full. Combined with a drink and coffee each this was quite an expensive lunch all meals very high quality, suggest choosing off menu to really enjoy your favourites.

Amazing ambience, kind and helpful staff, poor food Unfortunately the food quality is below average, as you can see in the photo, the food looks so sad. The worst choice was spaghetti carbonara which tasted like a joke.

I consider this up market trattoria-style Italian restaurant to be appropriate for a special occasion, so I went recently to celebrate an anniversary with my partner. POST is located in the exclusive Treasury Buildings in central Perth, a fairly exclusive address - here a steak main course costs $74, while most of the pasta dishes are around $40 and oysters are $5 each. My partner’s pasta dish was very heavy on the salt, while my Swimmer-crab risotto, at $36, was creamy and tasty but had rather too much sameness about it by the time I was half-way through eating it. Our wine was $20 and $17 each glass. The desserts were a generous serve of tiramisu and the lemon and pistachio semi-fredo - these were the tastiest course for us both. Our waiter was excellent and knowledgeable, dishes were brought to our table in good time and were well presented, though not extraordinary. Overall we both felt that POST, whilst providing a pleasant enough dining experience, is over-priced and under-whelming; relying too much on a menu that has barely changed since our previous visit two years ago, and a reputation that seems to be parcelled up with the address.

A unique authentic italian experience in the heart of Perth. Friendly staff service and all pasta is handmade. Menu prices are very expensive but you pay for what you get in quality.

Recently had our 4 year anniversary dinner here. The staff were friendly and the service was excellent. Loved the interior of the space and the atmosphere. We had 2 arancini which were delicious and probably the standout dish of everything we had. Sirloin was cooked perfectly and had a good flavor. Pasta was maybe a bit undercooked, but the sauce was excellent. We each had a glass of montepulciano that was great. 3 chocolate truffles and a limoncello for dessert. Total was around $215. I would like to go back and try the degustation. Overall, based on this visit and the total price, Post is not my number one go to for Italian.

Their degustation is affordable and high quality. Great vibe with exceptional customer service. Food is kinda salty but we rest enjoyed it. Perfect for a date night with some cocktail or wine. Love their entrees, delicious and fresh.

Our wedding dinner in the private dining room was exceptional and was beyond our expectations. The room was decorated by the nearby Fox and Rabbit florist and our additional decorations were unexpectedly arranged also. Food and service was amazing. Highly recommend.

Ambience was lovely. Emily was awesome, professional yet friendly and funny. Our waiter (didn't catch his name but young Asian guy) was super friendly, knowledgeable about all the wines, and answered all our questions readily. The young brunette lady who brought out some of our plates was also very charming and joked around with us. It was my friend's bday recently so I asked if the chef could acknowledge that on our dessert plate and they happily provided a candle. We had the saffron/taleggio arancini, focaccia, pork cotoletta, saffron risotto with osso bucco, triple cooked potatoes, broccolini and tiramisu. All delicious. Had a great time, great meal, no complaints!

Wonderful place to eat high quality Italian food. Not my first time, but the few times I've been here it's been great the Tagliatelle and gnocchi is lovely. Looks basic, but that's the Italian way isn't it? Probably one of the best Tiramisu I've also tasted. Strong taste!

This is a very classy and affordable restaurant to dine in. The only fault I have is that our American/Canadian waitress was very pushy and quite discourteous, pretty much rolling her eyes whenever we had queries in regards to the names on the menu or if we look a bit longer to give our orders. She also snatched our side plates away while we were still using them! Meanwhile, another waitress stood behind our table at a middle section containing glasses and cutlery and poured herself a quick glass of wine and downed it, then went on her merry way - all right in front of diners. The restaurant is clearly so posh that even waitstaff are allowed to drink on the job! Where do I sign up? Other than than, the food and ambience was great.

Eating local again with the restrictions on Travel and finding some gems. Those of us that have been in perth for a while will remember Steve Scaffidi and Altos back in the day. Well Steve snuck back into the Treasury and re-opened Post with his signature all over it. The food is outstanding and the team really look after you.

Overall a disappointing experience. Went to celebrate a birthday. The host greeted us and said happy birthday and was shown our table and were told we only had an hour and a half. That would have been reasonable if our service was not completely inattentive. The waitress appeared to be amazing, funny, and engaging for the tables next to us but for some reason our table was forgotten about. I could understand the other tables easily giving Post 5 stars based on service alone. For us, this is not the case. Taking orders, clearing the table, and providing top up water was slow for us but again way more attentive for the tables either side of us. We noticed other tables had a special birthday addition like a candle or a sparkler with dessett. When it came to our dessert, this did not happen. As for the food, for us, it was serviceable but not memorable. I would rather eat at one of the other eateries at the state buildings, which have been much better.

I attended Post last night with my partner for my 40th birthday dinner. The start wasn't great as we stood at the entrance to be seated for at least 5 minutes where we weren't acknowledged by anyone even to say someone would be seating us soon. Once we were seated by who seemed to be the Maitre 'd, we were asked which water we would prefer, and proceeded to then wait nearly 15 minutes before anyone came to attend to us again with no water served in that time. However the lovely Georgia saw to us after this and turned a bit of a bad start into a very memorable dining experience. We had the degustation which was varied and very tasty. The wine which was recommended to us paired beautifully and the Tirimisu...oh my God! Would definitely visit again although I hope the service initially is a bit better next time. Highly recommend for the food!

The new renovations look fantastic. I come to Post often as the food is amazing and the staff are even better, you know it is going to be good. Some of the best cocktails and wine choices I have had in Perth. They deserve more than 5 stars. Make sure to try the limoncello cocktail, the octopus and just all the mains, plus a boozy tiramisu to finish. The staff are a delight, Jake, Wen and Julian never fail to impress. Thank you Post for another wonderful evening.

One of the few restaurants open at 630am. They served Mano Amano coffee which reminded us of how good Australian coffee is. Avocado served on a grain and seeds cracker was outstanding, although on the small side. Smoked salmon served with a few salmon eggs tasted rich and wonderful. Nice tranquil ambiance for early morning breakfast!

I've been in this restaurant for dinner with my family. I'm Italian and I have to say that ONLY the food was good but the service was really POOR and we had to wait so long for meals (with a previous booking table). Unfortunately it was very disappointing, we didn't enjoy that moment. Also we had to returned the bill twice for mistakes in charges. Note: This restaurant will charge you 15% on top of your orders on Sundays.

We had an issue with one of our meals but the staff were amazing and very proactive and caring towards us! The manager and our server (sorry don’t remember either of their names) went above and beyond for us and gave us free entrees which we really appreciated! Couldn’t fault the service or food, it was spectacular! Thanks for helping us celebrate our 12 year anniversary! 😊 the beef carpaccio, kingfish crudo and prawn pasta were the star dishes of the night!

Breakfast at Post was underwhelming. While the service was efficient and courteous, the food was small with a big price tag. The zucchini rosti with smoked salmon consisted of a single thin 10 cm diameter rosti and a bit of smoked salmon and two poached eggs. For $22 we expected at least a couple of rostis and more smoked salmon (zucchini and potatoes are hardly expensive ingredients!). The dish looked absolutely lost on the plate, and the eggs were undercooked. The mushrooms on toast was better, but again the toast was rationed to one smallish slice, and again the poached eggs were undercooked. As we said, the food is okay, just overpriced for small portions. We both left hungry and disappointed. The better ratings on here seem to be for dinner, which we suspect is better, but for breakfast there are much better places offering better value for money in Perth (including Petition in the same building).

Not very busy at all and a very laid back and relaxed mood, all while still remaining quite sophisticated. The menu was very well selected and the waiter’s providing some interesting details on the quality and origin of some of the ingredients. The food itself was extremely delicious as you’d expect and the chef was very willing to concoct some non-menu items with no hassle.

We are consistently impressed with the amazing customer service at State Buildings. We were lucky enough to get into Post for a last minute dinner last night. Our whole dining experience was just outstanding, thanks to the wonderful service and attention to detail from our host Jack. My friend and I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner at Post on Sunday. I had the spring vegetable risotto and my friend had the grilled fish which was snapper. The ingredients were fresh and both meals were lovely. The service was exceptionally good, very helpful and friendly. We usually enjoy a full-bodied red when we dine out but were willing to try something a little different because of what we had chosen to eat. The waiter allowed us to taste a couple of lighter reds and we chose an Italian Barbera, which was delightful. The meal my friend chose came with asparagus which he doesn't like, so they were very accommodating and served some green beans and braised cavolo nero instead. And to finish, the coconut panna cotta was delicious. Thank you to everyone at Post for a thoroughly enjoyable evening. We will be returning.

I had the terimasu on its own. Each layer had a distinct note. The light, creamy mascarpone is heavenly, there was just enough strong coffee soaked in the savoiradi biscuits, the balance between all the layers danced in my mouth. However, there was just a bit too much Marsala that it sometimes overpowered the dish, for my pallet anyway. Overall, a nice way to end an evening with someone special or just enjoyed in a party for one.

Wandered in at 2:30pm yesterday (Boxing Day) for a drink and something to eat, to be greeted in quite a blunt fashion by a gentleman who seemed frustrated that customers were walking in. Asked for a table for two and were guided to a table in the back corner. My partner asked if we could sit on a smaller table right near the front with more of a view and we were told that we can have it but that it is a small table only normally used for drinks. I said that we planned to simply share a couple of starters so it should be fine. The gentleman pushed the menus in my hand and walked away. Apparantly walking us to another table was too much for his legs to manage. We sat down, perused the menu for about 5 minutes and decided what we would like to eat and drink. The venue was only approximately half full but we waited and waited for someone to come and take our order. After about 10 minutes of waiting we decided that we were obviously not welcome, so we stood up and left. The food and drinks may have potentially been the best we have ever had, sadly we will never know due to the poor service.

Came on a Sunday and had a perfect dinner. We could have been in Italy. Beef carpaccio was devine and the pastas were cooked to perfect. Rigatoni with guanciale and a beef ragu. The Chianti Classico was the perfect accompaniment Bravo!

Came here for my partners birthday lunch, we had amazing service from the wait staff, extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and food. Gave recommendations on what to order. We had a few starters which we could not fault (and the bread with olive oil also was divine) then for mains had the fish and steak, cooked to absolute perfection, thoroughly enjoyed our experience here
