under new ownership now, but the dishes served (mostly) remains the same. and i really do like their fish dishes. -------- their briyani is really good, especially the rice itself. i normally get the briyani rice, and mix it up with the other dishes. i reckon the Chilli Chicken would be their "hero dish". on Friday nights, they have the Murtabak, which is not bad. and the Malay desserts they source from are really good quality taste. on the weekends, they're only open on the last Sunday of the month.

A nice little gem for Malaysian cuisine. Located right opposite Equus Arcade on Murray St just before Barrack & Murray St Mall, this cafe has been around for a long time, and attract the lunchtime office crew like us and the locals alike. They are quite small and the price of 2 meat & 1 veg with bryani rice is $13. The variety is quite good for the choices, and I found the taste quite yummy and not too spicy. One of their lunchtime specials is roti canai (flat bread) with chicken curry for $5, which I found to be enough for a small lunch snack. They also have the lamb shank for $15 which I am keen to try next time.

This is where I go if I craved Malaysian food in Perth City. Good selection of dishes to choose from or you can order some fried rice or noodles on the menu. All tasty and delicious. They also sell kuih muih, karipap, pengat (bubur pulut hitam & bubur kacang hijau), apam balik etc. I personally vouch for their karipap. So sedap!

Food is very reasonably priced - that’s the main highlight here. I had a 2 meat + 1 veg + white rice combination for $13.80. Because I opted for fish there was a $1 extra. Their menu has a lot of good options around $10 mark. I also noticed people getting rice + beef rendang takeaway for $8.50. Food tastes okay. It’s quite busy during weekday lunch time, but still can manage to find table. There are lots of non-veg and veg options. Service and ambience is good enough for a fast paced busy place.

It’s not much chooses for vegetables, but they are kind and friendly. Beef is too hard to eat. Foods are local and pretty spicy🤣🤣 If you were not good at spicy food, don’t try haha

A lovely spot for Malaysian food. My Nasi Lemak with beef rendang was delicious, the rice was fragrant, and I also enjoyed a Paratha which was flaky and tender. The food was so good, and service friendly, I may even go back tomorrow to try some of their other menu items. There were a lot extremely delicious looking fish dishes as well and at a great value.

Rush hour during lunch but serves quickly and lots of option to choose from. Gets overwhelmed what to eat. Good place people who love different sorts of curry or meats

I am a loyal customer here. This restaurant stands out as one of the finest Asian cuisine spots in Perth. Not only is the food delicious, but the portions are also quite generous. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they only charged $10.90 for their substantial serving of chicken fried rice. I'm thrilled!

If you're in the city and craving Malaysian food, I'd recommend this place. It definately satisfied my roti pratha and curry cravings! It's been here for years and is always a favourite during my uni days. Love their cakes and kuihs too.

I've been enjoying the wonderful, authentic Malaysian fare served here since they opened several years ago. Where else can you eat so well at truly affordable prices? e.g. Chicken masala and perfect biryani rice only $10! Each day brings up to 25 distinctly flavoured dishes for your enjoyment. Plenty of fish and vegetarian options. Love the gravies... Be aware that the curries are on the bone although that's how most of the world eats protein and of course it maximises flavour. A popular no frills eatery. A treasure in fact. Highly recommend a visit.

I’ve had a few negative experiences at this place and will now never return! Firstly I had picked up 1 chicken biryani takeaway (serves are so small) for my father who was in hospital, the chicken was bad and that could be smelt as soon as he opened the container, what a waste and a shame it had to go in the bin!, Please make sure your food is sitting at the correct temp so it’s safe for your customers! Secondly the women that work in this place are very rude, not only to me but as I waited to be served, I witnessed many others not been treated very nicely! Be KIND, it’s costs nothing!!

If you want to satisfy your cravings for Malay food, I highly recommend this Cafe. It's no surprise there are so many customers there! I took my mum and aunt there today. Food was so delicious and fresh, all 3 of us enjoyed our meals. This place has so much potential but due to being a small space with many customers, the only (very small) downside is that you may not get served as quickly as you hope. The food is well worth the wait and sooo yummy. The briyani is so nice, meat dishes are tender and so full of flavour. I will be coming back again and again 😁

Ordered the fish head curry with briyani rice, long bean and pickled cucumber. It was a really nice thick slightly spicy Malay styled curry, not too spicy or too sour. The briyani, long bean and pickled cucumber really compliment the fish head curry. Would like to try the beef or lamb rendang next time.

Authentic Malaysian Restaurant. Reasonably priced dishes, well liked by visiting Malaysians and locals. They also served Malaysian kuehs and teh tarik. Served by helpful, efficient and friendly staffs. If you are in a group, it is advisable to make a reservation earlier !

Bang for your buck and delicious Malaysian food. You get 2 meats selection, vege and rice under $20 for both sizes. The staff is incredibly polite and fast. Great portion sizes I couldn't even finish it and their pulled tea was great you can have it hot or cold. I got hot since Perth is freezing cold. Will visit again very soon

OOOOH MY GOD!! I been looking for the best chicken rice in WA and there is nothing better than YOUR CHICKEN RICE!!! My puppy used to fight me for your paratha with curry chicken and today she fought even harder for the chicken rice. We wish we can give you more than 5 star!!! 3 years coming here, always amazed!!! What a gem doing amazing food. I had walked by several times and finally stopped by in my lunch break for their lamb biryani and Teh Tarik cold. The best lunch I’ve had in a very long time. So affordable, delicious and great portions. Authentic home style cooking, done simple and well. Will definitely be stopping by again.

This restaurant serves a range of Halal Malaysian and Halal Singapore Meals. Recommend fried chicken, lamb shanks, beef rendang, biryani, chicken curry and nasi lemak. If you are looking for quick and casual lunch, this is not a bad choice.

Very busy restaurant with lines filling up quite quickly. Food was pretty authentic & flavorful. Teh Tarik was quite nice. Roti was a steal at lunchtime for $5 (2 pieces of roti with a side of curry chicken) Fried chicken was very yummy that I had to get two extra pieces with rice for my kids to share. Apam Balik was pretty good too! Friendly service & reasonably priced.

Packed with flavour and a busy little cafe. Good selection of various vegetarian, fish and meat. Rendang was good and Dahl was yum though a little watery with the sauce. Good all round and loved the chicken.

The food here is fantastic, tasty, fresh and tastes exactly like home. Ikan Keli (Catfish) was the best tasting in Perth and I highly recommend. Really good Malaysian food. Not so spicy but the portion size is small. You can be in and out for takeaways quickly. Lunch time can get busy and the seating options are limited.

This is a hidden gem, so easy to walk past. They have a good choice of freshly made dishes, so tasty. The prices are good, the staff very friendly and food far better than any food hall, and better value too.

The food was so good even it was super delicious. But the service from the girl with eyeglasses super rude. She served me and my friend impolitely, in a high tone with her hands lowered and said "I said what do you want to order?" It was made my mood down. Please train her to be polite when serve the customer. Thank you I come at 1st of October 2023 13:30pm.
