As a curry lover I am surprised not to have been here before. Came for the lunch special. $32. Delicious lamb Rogan Josh. Excellent mango lassi. Great service. I will be back. Recommended.

UPDATE; food poisoning. I woke up with cramps in my stomach and had it coming out both ends; never again will I eat here. The veggie tikka masala is good but the old man was not very friendly and he forgot my rice plus no plasticware or serviettes, luckily I carry my own! I called him back to see if maybe they would deliver it and he said I never ordered rice… He even repeated back to me when I ordered it over the phone and who doesn’t order rice with any masala???

Terrible experience right from start. We went as a office group of four for lunch. Placed us on a round table of six which was very odd. On requesting to change the table, the owner rudely replied NO. The restaurant was empty with no seats reserved. We were about to leave so he came to us offering another table. Food came late. Requested container for left over. Assistant staff got the container and then took it away. She said she is getting bigger one. Instead she came back with the smallest size container. At the end, tried using offer on Entertainment App but the owner refused to give the discount. Initial reason given was the company has changed name however the invoice, business card, name outside is 9 Mary's. On asking further, the merchant got more ruder and defensive. Awful customer experience at this place.

Curries were on point. We came kinda late, before closing time and they still served us food. The server was a legend!

1hr 30 minutes for bringing food for a pre booked group. Starters are straight from freezer. Realised it was Chilli chicken when they mentioned it. Probably the cook has never eaten good Butter chicken in his entire life. Had to leave mid of the lunch as I was getting late. Else I could talk more about the Pappad style Naan and other items.. Overall a disgrace to Indian cuisine.

Really good place in the city. Peaceful and quiet location. Also, quality of food and service were amazing and fast. Less options for vegetarian but whichever is on the menu is really delicious. Surely visit again.

Best Indian restaurant in CBD Perth! All dishes are fresh and authentic! Staff are very friendly and attentive. Tandoori salmon, goat curry are our favourites as always! Great cocktails too...

Nice setting love the vintage looking pictures on the wall. Buffet breakfast was nice not exceptional. Cappuccinos from the machine were lovely, nice and strong.

Three of us went to this restaurant and had the lunchtime thalli which was extremely good and very substantial. The young female waiter was friendly and very helpful. It is hard to give a star rating because we recommended the restaurant to an Indian friend who has a strict vegetarian diet, after being assured she would be catered for. Unfortunately, when they visited, the owner was so rude, obnoxious and unaccommodating, that she and her friends left and had something at another restaurant. Too bad. 9Marys deserves more stars than this based on our experience, but we won't be back.

My husband and i had a lovely dinner at " 9 Marys " at Hay st. this evening. The palak and the bhindi tasted really good - authentic Indian cuisine. The vegetarian briyani was equally good. We have been to a couple of indian restsurants in Perth but felt disappointed coz the food was not at all indian- most dishes were sweet. But this one serves authentic indian. Thank you for the lovely meal. The owner was very hospitable too.

Poor customer service.... 👎👎👎 Few days ago I ordered a thali for take away.... I like food then I recommend my friends and after few days we visited there and ordered for same items for dine in... Prices were twice for same items for dine in and disappointed with their management....we told him before over the phone we have limited time for meal break as we were on the job. When we arrive there we asked to get tandoori roti instead of butter naan... He said We don't do the same items for dine in. Finally we decided to leave the place ..... never seen this kind of customer service anywhere .... definitely not coming back as the service really horrible...

A great place if you want to try delicious Indian food, the service was friendly and efficient, the place was packed not long after we ordered. We ordered the fish curry, butter chicken, and goat curry, which was the star of the night.

Friends have told me they walk past and they always see it near empty…. We tried it tonight and the food was delicious!!!fools have been walking past and not enjoyed the very flavoursome curry’s on offer!!!- we couldn’t fault anything out of all the dishes we had…… on a negative!!…. Beer!!!!!!….. nothing on tap and at $12 for a 150 LASHES STUBBIE, we thought was extortion!! Not a boutique beer, not a pint! Just a bottle!!! That equates to $288 for a carton, talk about a painful rip off!!- 3 lads had 2 each which was $72 … once again these were not pints but bottles- when a carton of 24 only costs about $55 ( 24 bottles) … it gives you heart burn!!!- the ladies bottle of wine was not excessively priced $ the staff attentive and friendly. We’ll be back….. but just on tap water ha!…. I expressed my observations with the manager, about needing affordable draught beer-which he said he’ll take on board( we know that means nothing will happen!)

Found this place walking past from a nearby hotel, it is warm and inviting. The service was fantastic, I ordered Butter Chicken, Cheesy Naan, Rice and some drinks. It was one of the best butter chickens I've ever had and the naan, I was full from eating but the taste had me making sure every last bit was finished. The service was extremely good, I even went back the following night and ordered lamb kebabs, cheesy naan and drinks, again it was a great experience and highly recommend.

Very pleasant place for dinner. Great food, service and ambience. They deserve more clientele than they seem to be getting. Maybe there should be more signage outside?

Personal hygiene is not a strong point of the staff and is rather offensive, to say the least. They need to learn the meaning of "express" as our express lunch took over 40 minutes and they forgot the bread. When I approached the staff, they couldn't of cared less and brushed it off. The whole experience was far from acceptable the last few times i have dinned here, when there are so many good restaurants in the cbd I wont be going to nine marys ever again.

We took a bad decision going to this restaurant. Waiter( the cashier guy) is in a hurry and expresionless. Very rude. Never go there. They don't want us to dine in there as they don't have empty 2 seated table. Meanwhile they were having bigger seated tables.

Staff were very accommodating when we told them that we were in a rush (our show at His Majesty's Theatre was starting within 1 hour). Food came out promptly and staff were friendly.

Good service, nice and clean premises, food came out reasonably quickly,. Indian colleague rated quality about 7 out of 10, although he is vegetarian so couldn't comment on the meat dishes.

While perhaps not the best Indian food I’ve had in my life, it was better than most and did not disappoint. The surroundings and service were excellent, and we had a very pleasant lunch there. We’ll definitely be going back when we have another hankering for Indian.

Whenever I get a craving for Saag Paneer (Spinach and Cheese) every time I have to go back to 9 Mary's in the city. I have tried a lot of other restaurants versions but this always comes up the best. Light, rich and spicy.Add Kuchumber salad and a Paratha and it is the ultimate vegetarian meal. Please chef never leave without telling me.

We went to dinner tonite with our two kids absolutely loved it amazing and efficient customer service and food was delicious and good serve ..very efficient and Quick..highly recommend..Must visit🤗🥰 thanks for the beautiful evening guys .we will be back soon.

We were 6 people, celebrating birhday. Good location and interior, however food and service were below average and waiting times long even for WA Indian restaurants,which are expected to be slow. Not recommended.

Good Food, great location excellent service for lunch or dinner this is a gem on Hay Street. They heaps of options to choose and specials as well, I have pretty much gone through the menu.

The staff are friendly, the food is what you’d expect but the wait after ordering was long. Also, beware - I was charged for water even though the water was brought to the table without me requesting it.

loved the food at 9Marys. I ordered Daal Palak, yoghurt and tandoori roti..to be honest, it was the best Daal I ever had in a restaurant. I was served by two lovely girls who were great in explaining the menu. I will definitely be back at 9Marys in my next visit to Perth.
