One star for it being fairly clean, except there were clothing stickers on the side of the beside table..... however, I’d give a minus rating if I could. Recently stayed at the Ramada after a wedding. The information sheet in the units state that Ramada is strictly no-party, fine I’m going to sleep anyway... not. The unit below was playing music so loud that our room was vibrating. 8:30 I rung reception to ask them to turn it down a little (go ahead play music just not so loud that the level above is shaking), they said police had already been called. 10:30, no police, and music is louder - and Ed Sheehan is on repeat. Ring reception - they are closed. Ring after hours security who looked into it, but rung me back to say it was a privately owned unit and nothing cold be done except for me, the guest to call the police. Nothing against security because they were really nice, however Ramada itself... shocking! What was meant to be a blissful quiet night away, was in fact horrible and we had to leave and go home as we did not get any sleep. I have video evidence but I can’t upload it. Ramada, sort out your noise policy’s for private residence. You charge an arm and a leg for guest only to be left with a horrible sleepless night.

Lovely place to stay, and will definitely go back with the kids. There was plenty to do and a friendly atmosphere. The service desk staff were always very helpful. Shuttle buses come by every 15 minutes or so to head into Port Douglas - about 6 minutes and $9 roughly. Then you just call one of them for a trip back from wherever in town when you're ready. The pool is clean and centralised and heading out the back of the resort is a 2 minute walk to the beach. Highlight was the spa package. Was absolutely fantastic. Highly highly recommend

My daughter booked a two bedroom business suit for 3 friends and herself to celebrate her birthday. Was a mix up with the rooms but Shawn on reception managed to sort it out and upgraded her to a three bedroom, ocean view suit. The room was well decorated, clean and impeccably presented. Great position, within walking distance to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants. Will definitely re-book for another occasion.

    1. My wife was locked in the bathroom because the door handle is faulty and if you close the door you cannot get out. 2. The airconditioning has to be set to 16 to try and get it cool. But still like 26 3. The bedrom sliding door is broken off the rollers. 4. The shower overflows to the bathroom floor as it doesn't drain properly. 5. The pay per view movies don't play 6. The towells are 3rd world. 7. Two coffee pods is a joke 8. You cannot get down one side of the bed as its hard against the wall. 9. No room service. It's a TWO STAR property at ONE STAR value No view And that's before the first night

Really happy with our stay here. Room was clean and comfortable. Serviced everyday and provided with all teas and coffees. Staff were very pleasant. Had full kitchen and washing machine / dryer. Parking was great.

Room was very grotty. Blood stains on pillows, room hadn’t been vacuumed, dead bugs in fridge etc etc We were told we had 2 x bathrooms and ocean view. 1 bathroom and absolutely NO ocean view. Very disappointed. Ended up asking for a refund and stayed elsewhere.

Underwhelming is the nicest way to put my stay here. Manager required me to pay again in full on arrival as I didn't have the credit card I paid with (my fault but it expired) - DONT DO WHAT I DID HERE!!!! It soured the stay and for the $300 per night it was not worth it at all. Didn't feel luxurious and felt cheap. ****PHOTOS ON AGODA ARE NOT THE ROOM YOULL BE GIVEN - THATS THEIR PREMIUM/BEST ROOM***** PROS: * good location- seconds from the beach * secured parking * bed was comfortable * toiletries in shower *good shower head with good water pressure *kitchenette was modern and user friendly - some dishes supplied *furnishings were nice in the room (good couch) *aircon CONS: *aircon barely did anything and had little to no pressure * lack of service here - couldn't even supply us with ice *no room service or amenities in that regard * only one floor - rest is residential units! Lift situation is whack and hard to maneuver. Clerk explained it to us but we got lost more than once and only one lift is for the hotel (rest is for residents) * rooms are packed in tight and you can hear your neighbors/upstairs neighbour's - dragging noises all night and windows let in a lot of sound * expensive for what you got - 3 stars barely * view wasn't good/not worth the money *room wasn't well insulated - got really hot too easily *very small for what you pay *parking is awkward and there's no street parking (luckily I had secured parking included) *no visitors parking bays ever available - always taken

Extremely disappointed. No housekeeping done in 5 days of stay. Forced to use same wet towel. No cleaning, no maintenance, no refills on shampoo, coffee, milk or tea. Had to take our rubbish bin outside and dump it in some random bin at night :( The room on floor #1 was a tiny prison cell - no light, no balcony, no view. Maintenance requests were denied due to ‘understaffing’. Towels were denied because ‘understaffing’ Please do yourself a favour and do not stay here - instead use the wonderful hotel across the road “Rendezvous” where I have moved now and am very happy.

Stayed here for a week recently and practically had to beg for toilet paper and clean towels after 5 days of the room being untouched. I asked them when the room would be cleaned or when we’d get clean towels after 3 days and they said the room wasn’t a priority room and they’d get to it another day. We asked for a roll of toilet paper and the woman was pretty rude about it, telling us to wait till she got to our room which she never did so we had to go to reception for it. Requested for the room to be serviced again. We asked for fresh towels the next day and another woman cleaning on our level said there was no clean towels available to which she found a spare one and said to share it till the next service. After i said it was unhygienic after 4 days of no fresh towels, having to ask for the rubbish to be taken twice and still told me to wait till the next day because their work day was finished and the bins were too full for them to take. Asked for the sheets to be changed because there were stains on them when we checked in, they said they would but just made the beds with the same sheets and flipped the pillows on the other side.

Worst experience ever. If I had a chance, I would give negative stars to this hotel. Hotel and room were not clean. Very bad customer service. Rooms didn’t have basic amenities. Staff is least bothered to caters guest’s request. No staff and service available after 9pm. I’d asked for tissues and a spoon in the room and they couldn’t even provide me with these basics things. I will never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel.

Cosy, Clean and Comfortable apartment to stay within Scarborough Beach. The apartment is fully equipped and I’m a coffee lover which is great to have a coffee machine in the apartment :) Our balcony is facing the beach and we get the best view. Outstanding service at the reception by Matt and Juliana, they are professional, passionate and friendly. Highly Recommended to stay at Ramada and accessible to Coles, chemist, cafe and beach is just a stone’s throw away.

Really happy with our 3 nights stay here. Thank you Daniel and his team for the warm welcome and service👍🏻. Our room was ready when we arrived (1 hour before check in time). We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment, our balcony is facing the sea. Room was comfortable and clean. It is serviced everyday. Hotel has complimentary laundry facilities at level 2 (comes with 2 washing machines and 2 dryer). Hotel location is good and accessible. Can take bus 990 directly from Perth busport to hotel. Bus stop is right in front of the hotel. Hotel is within walking distance to the beach, Coles supermarket and restaurants. There are a bakery shop and Domino pizza within the hotel building. Along the beach, there is a Whale Playground which is nice for the kids to play. We enjoyed our stay here and hope to be back again.

More a 3-star motel than a hotel. Our bedroom was missing one of 2 sliding doors. And had no window. Too bad if you have claustrophobia. The wall aircon blew straight on us at night...so we had to turn it off. Free WiFi? Yes it was free...and did not work the 2nd day. Front desk staff could not resolve. And pity about the toilet. Seat installed crooked. And flush button loose. (Missing a part). Check-in was the most confusing part. Not at all obvious where to park. But location is good. Close to the action.

It was clean, apartment was beautiful only problem was next to us was a resident (it is half hotel and private residence) who was shouting at someone, slamming doors, and then thought it would be great to scream to introduce himself to us. Even though the apartment itself was great, but there was no where to throw out the rubbish when bin was full, and there is apartments much closer to the beach about $105 cheaper a night and just as lovely inside there apartments

Good location to travel around the local areas. But the cleaners do forget to replenish the washing liquid or toilet paper. But very clean and close to a lot of food areas and the beach. It’s worth the self for the sunsets.

Clean, tidy, and modern. Short walk to shops, the beach, food, and drinks. Secure basement car parking is available for a small price. Small gym and laundry facilities are also available either to wash your own clothing or a service to have it done for you. Most rooms feature a kitchenette to be able to make your own basic meals if that's what you need or want.

Really unpleasant encounter with the team at the front desk. I had to spell my name like 3-4 times and they somehow still won’t get it. Couldn’t receive my invoice as a result. Unfortunately, this was the case with two different people, first one a girl, second one a boy. Location is great, the lobby carpet was a shock for a hotel claiming to be 4 star. The bathroom tap was stiff, reported on the first day but nothing changed. Definitely never going back again to this place.

A/C didn't work very well and the rooms were small. Otherwise comfortable. Nobody around most of the time so not sure about the service. Great location!

Sorry, it's a fail. It's a hodgepodge of rooms and levels in what should be a winner. Room I had had Scuff marks everywhere. The aircon didn't do much. The bathroom shower had water running into the ba5hroom floor when used so the bath mat was soaking wet after every shower Positive bit was the view. Room cleaning varied (Sigh)

Was a great room..spacious...but had a smokers odour. Delayed check-in... Not a hotel....a block of apartments. Great view. Very clean....no facilities. But close to many restaurants.

Disappointed!! Information sheet states daily housekeeping. We had 2 rooms and they were only done twice. Toiletries and tea and sweetener was not replaced. Hot water runs out in shower in less than 3 minutes. Noisy rooms with the lift clunking and car park sounds underneath. Air conditioner in both rooms did not work very well. Laundry facilities were dirty. Considering we paid over $2000 for the rooms. I expected a little more.

  • 3/5 Laura M. 8 months ago on Google
Hot water runs out quickly, rooms are comfortable, beds are hard, and only the top paying rooms have any kind of view. Window only opens a smidge. Not a good option for a budget place, stay here if you want to pay a bit more for a good room. Cleanliness not great, marks on all the walls that could easily be washed off.

Can't find much to fault - clean, well equipped, quiet at night, good location. It does not have some traditional hotel facilities and I was sort of in an annexe but it more than did the job for a few days stay!

I'd actually give it 1.5 stars. Not worth $357 per night that I was charged. Window was so dirty you could hardly see through it and there is black mould growing around the window frame most walls and paintwork was rubbing off and scratched / stained. The toilet was absolutely disgusting and growing I don't know what around the rim, looked like it had never been cleaned. The aircon also didn't work only had heat and fan functions not cooling. I'd post the pictures if I could....

10th year anniversary.. Surprised wifey with a night away. Booked for one night. Ended up having an upgrade on the booking once arrived at reception .. Floor 5 room 35.. O.K. thanks.. Not sure what room I had booked but once we got in and opened the door WOW.. I could live here .. Had every thing there.. Felt very relaxing. .. The view was great from the 5th floor but could not stop thinking once the block next door gets developed with another multi story building, thats gone.. :( CONS..Now if one was to get picky.. Parking is a little tight..The lift is a little slow. Hot water in the shower did go cold on me but that's because the other 1/2 took a long shower before me. Would of been fine if I had waited a little for the storage system heat up again. Odd bits.. We thought was a bit funny. Main bedroom has a power circuit fuse board on the wall behind a white plastic cover to make it blend in. T.V. antenna cord also comes out the same wall covered by a white plastic track to hide cord. Guessing its the way the building was made.. We enjoyed the stay.. Will be back.. :)

Disappointing We checked in on Tuesday. Family of 6. Staying for 5 days. The room was fantastic. Great for us all. But….. advised housekeeping would be done each day. We arrived with only 4 towels. Had to go to reception to ask for more towels. They had none so they gave us beach towels. The following day we had no housekeeping done. By the 3rd day. I needed to go ask for more clean towels and toilet paper for us. Was advised no housekeeping as a public holiday. I asked for again more clean towels but nothing. So I asked for washing powder to wash my own. By day 4 , I demanded housekeeping to come in. They came to only make our bed and give us clean towels. No vacuuming done. Room full of sand, due to us being at the beach daily, that wasn’t cleaned up. Female at Reception wasn’t helpful at all. Quite disappointing

Thanks for your response Dan S. our reservation was made for 5ppl months in advance and therefore your facility had more than enough time to arrange the rooms to accomodate for 5 guests whether it be for 1 night or 10 nights.

Great location. Basic amenities but there was NO DOOR at our en-suite bathroom! We stayed at three bedrooms apartment and I did ask why there’s no door in our bathroom? No answer until now.

I had a wonderful stay at Ramada. Great location close to the beach. The room was spotless and fresh. Carolina from guest services was a pleasure to deal with.

Good location, good sized comfortable room. Thank you for our bottle of wine supplied for our anniversary, nice touch. Curtains need to be light block out. Room we had faced east and there fore, when the sun came up, it lit up the whole apartment. Also, it was like sleeping with a bright nightlight on, with the amount of light coming through the curtains at night. No sea breeze at all on the east side of hotel looking at the hills. Nothing like described in welcoming letter, too hot to enjoy balcony.

Great place for short term stays. Friendly staff, walking distance to supermarket and dining out. Lovely layout for 2 bedroom apartment. Staff were very accommodating for special requests.

Despite reading all the recent negative reviews, I proceeded with a booking and honestly couldn't fault the whole experience. Ample street parking or $15 "secure" parking. Friendly receptionists with hassle free check in process and clear directions to room. Room was immaculate complete with Peter Morrissey toiletries which smelt so good compared to the usual lemon myrtle scent most hotels go for. Self contained kitchenette with everything you need for a short stay, but close proximity to all the bustle of Scarborough. Comfortable bed and pillows with easy to use climate control A/C. Would happily stay there again and highly recommend

It was so bad I walked out after 5 minutes and found somewhere else to stay. They must have put me in the worker's room, the lift was so small it was claustrophobic. The room wasn't much better. Walk out of the lift and the first thing you see is a dirty carpet. Doesn't give you a good first impression and don't expect a parking spot either. Never again!

A great location that is let down by how filthy the common areas are and the complete lack of service to the rooms. We stayed over a week and twice in our stay the bins went three days without being emptied. There was no where within the facility to take your rubbish so it just had to keep piling it up in the corner. The hallways were never vacuumed during our stay and the communal laundry was not cleaned - and don't get me started on the stains on all the carpets. The room itself was well appointed, the kitchen in good condition, walls were covered in scuff marks and needed a repaint. The bathroom was not cleaned our whole stay, mould was growing in the bottom part of the shower and the glass shower screen is not long enough so the bathroom gets wet with each shower. Reception closes at 9pm, so when there are parties on your floor there is no one there to address the situation and you have to ask them to be quiet at midnight. Do you and your holiday a favour and book elsewhere.

Great location, booked to spend time by the beach over the weekend. Spacious clean room with fully equipped kitchen. Much appreciated the upgrade to a balcony room. Staff were very helpful and eager to assist when we asked for beach towels and a clothes horse. Parking can get a bit of an issue during the busy time, but I believe there's an option to reserve a car bay at an extra cost.
