Bad experience. I wanted a hexagonal cut diamond rhay would be the stone for a custom made diamond ring. Which I realise is very difficult to source a good one. When I told the rep what I wanted she said I would never find one in Australia because solid gold used to be the only distributors but stopped. She didn't even try to help me. I didnt waste anymore time because I had already been told my dream could happen by Stelios Jewellers. I may not have been worth their time. But in the end I got what I wanted for a reasonable price as well. Got to Stelios for the best custom made jewllery for good pricing.

Bought Argyle Pink Diamonds from Solid Gold several years ago and decided to sell them. Solid Gold offered me 30% less than what I paid for them. I contacted other jewelers and was able to sell them at more than double what Solid Gold had offered. Very dishonest dealing with them. Working in the mining industry for years I now tell as many people as possible to not deal with this company

After loosing the solitaire diamond from my engagement ring we returned to Solid Gold, where we originally purchased the ring many years ago, to have the diamond replaced. Tania was so helpful and the Solid Gold team were able to source a beautiful replacement diamond. I am absolutely delighted and can’t recommend them enough for service and beautiful craftsmanship.

After supposedly being a ‘premier customer’ probably due to the stone we chose .. ?? Who knows. But my husband and I are very disappointed that it’s at a point where we’re writing a Google review and will be taking our business elsewhere. Our experience in summary: 1. Engagement stone sourced 2. SG Made ring - incorrectly 3. Remade ring - incorrectly + Doubled down on the detailed ring design to ensure no issues - communication issues were clearly apparent. No one to escalate to. 5. Remade ring- at the time it seemed okay best of three makes! .. but SG still missed part of the brief .. at this stage though, not having an engagement ring for so long was frustrating so we decided to just live with it at that point. 6. Wedding band is designed and agreed 7. Wedding band incorrect 8. The weddings band doesn’t fit flush with engagement ring as requested and each ring is grating on each others claws in turn comprising the security of the diamonds. 9. Also the wedding band is half band of diamonds rather than 10am-2pm which is what we designed, agreed and paid for. So missing 4-6 diamonds. 10. We contacted SG for escalation to a higher up person than the manager attempt one, two, three, four & FIVE! All by, phone, in writing email and linked in and in person. 11. We are also actively trying to source some rare diamonds which we discussed with the staff and tried to schedule an appointment in early October with the senior manager but we still haven’t heard back. Honestly it shouldn’t be so difficult. Also to think we were going to give them another sale 😳 I suppose we just want the matter resolved. Recently the service that we have received is substandard from the upper management of Solid Gold and I don’t really have any words to describe how disappointed we both are that we chose solid gold for such a meaningful time in our lives. Looking at the rings and hearing them grate is a daily reminder of the poor choice we made.

I had a wonderful experience with SGD and Amber was the perfect consultant. She was so friendly, helpful and unpretentious - it really was like sitting down with a friend, which I didn’t expect in a place like this! The bespoke piece was a gift, something very close to my heart and something I was very excited about so it was nice to have Amber helping me, who was almost as excited and enthusiastic about this as I was, and really committed to the design and vision of what I described. The final product is stunning. Genuinely delighted with the product and the service.

We also purchased our wedding bands from solid gold and again another great experience from start to finish. Especially happy with level of service and the security. I was picking up on behalf of my partner as the rings were under his name and the security check level they went to made me feel reassured in knowing they took the process seriously. My platnium engagement ring was purchased in Jan 2019 from Perth store. As a result of 2 pregnancies since 2019 I have only worn the ring approx 18mo in total, only during the day and I am in an office job. I took it in for a clean and check mid 2022 & they've told me that I need to get the ring fixed as im about to lose my diamonds due to the way I wear my ring. I said how can that be, i am in an office job, only wear it during the day, dont wear to gym and due to swelling while pregnant I havent been able to wear it for alot of the time. I asked for help on how to prevent this as its only a few years old and having to pay for repairs already is alarming. They said they couldn't give me any advice. Additionally, when I went to get my wedding band, i got 2 quotes from other jewellers and they both commented on the low quality of the platinum in my engagement ring. With the repair issue and how there is only one store in Perth City, I would not recommend.
